Makes one wonder how much better it would sound if you're hearing it Live, due to limitations on recording devices and then devices playing the media, audiovisuals are often not as great as it could be, as it would be, hearing the orchestra in front of you at stage. That said, "Epic" is a fair assessment of that performance in the video.
@@lds8401 they are playing you idiot lol, sounds like they have some of the main chorus playing in the background but I have this original piece on spotify...The recorded version sounds different than this... meaning they are playing all of the instruments. Plus I have experience playing live performances and can tell
@@brcshephard He did not, but I do have a few of the songs performed on my RUclips page. Seats were horrible, so not much to look at. Concert was phenomenal!!!! Must listen to Inception that was the encore!
I am normally like a dead cold stone, my friends use to say. 🤷♀️ But when I saw Planet Earth 2 - with Hans Zimmers Songs - So much tears. Greetings from 🇩🇪, and I hope everybody is fine. 👍
you can just see the audiences reaction while it is playing they are speechless, they have never experienced a true piece of music live that speaks to the world like this
Humans can’t harm the earth, we will just harm ourselves. The earth will live for another 4 billion years….way past the time we as a species will be extinct.
I like how at the end how the camera had to be raised to get Colbert back into view due to unexpected object in the bagging area. no, camera view, heh, due to the standing ovation from the audience.
Beautiful. One odd thing I noticed was that Zimmer himself (on the synth), seemed to be playing NOT synchronized with the rest of the orchestra. Very odd. Strings and other instruments were in real-time with the sound and video track. But Zimmer's touches on his keyboard, were not. This is mostly noticeable towards the last part of the performance.
This is playback. Funny how everyone believe they are actually playing. The director of the orchestra doesn't even seem to know what he's doing. HansZimmer is fake-playing at the piano as well.
Not exactly, it's a mix, they play over the playback. If you have an ear for that, the contrabasses in the beginning are playing live, but are out of sync. Another hint is the electric guitar at 0:41, which isn't as noticeable and in the front in the original. Also I don't see any flutes, which are heard through the playback at 1:20. Finally I think you can see, that the percussion instruments are just not there to create the percussion that you're hearing. So yes, they play over a playback and I would say the playback to live volume is about 60%-40%. The best position to hear how loud the playback is exactly is the "wooosh" sound at 1:05. Because that's a digital effect. But your point still stands, you should definitely notice that this large sound you're hearing can't be created by the orchestra that is there.
I can never hold my tears back when I listen to this. Totally breathtaking
Must be awkward if you're working at the same time. ..Especially if you're driving the bus!
argg same
no, literally. the way Hans builds his compositions up is undefeated. so much emotion behind it
My love of Earth's remote places and her animals compels me to agree with you.
Ok I’m not the only one
The anthem of the natural world! 🌎🌍🌏
the quiet reverence Colbert speaks with in his introduction says enough, i think
One of the most epic live performances I’ve ever heard.
no one was playing, have you catched it?

3:01 I love the fact that he wanted the orchestra to stand up with him, sharing the cred
The power of music. ❤️

Death is so final, whereas life... ah, life is full of possibilities
It's not actually as you reincarnate. It was deliberately kept out of the bible by the Vatican.
THANK YOU, for uploading this!!! I couldn’t find it anywhere for some reason!!!!
They took it down

Pulling emotions without a single word. He is simply a genius.

Tears every time!🥲
Thank you for re-uploading this version. The original video was taken down for some reason. I find this version better than the studio one.

If we brought a man from the past to the future, he would ask one question:
"What have we done?"
We have done what have you told,
Until he had unlimited access to porn and forgot about our future.

We humans are noble creatures, but our flaws will enable and cause us to kill all of the great Animals on this Earth.

Why did cbs delete this from the late show channel
I don't know why... 🤷
This is the kind of music that would play at the Second Coming of Christ
Hopeful
