i have a question. is it okay to crossbreed leghorn x with a australorp. i wanna create some hybrid vigor. but i want to make a crossbreed and not a hybrid like the commercial layer.
@Thomas Lamprogiorgos oh really i didnt know that. it though that it will take less time to breed a new breed. because the fertile age of a chicken is around 9 months i think.
@Thomas Lamprogiorgos Thank you very much. so the leghorn layer doesent have a big impact on the australorp. of course. because the leghorn blood is already in their blood. but btw i have a leghorn exchequer
@Thomas Lamprogiorgos in the netherlands it changes over time . sometimes it is really hot. mostly in summer. and sometimes it is very cold. in the past the winters were severe. nowadays it is mild. but it can be harsh
