I just learned by direct professional contact with Wago, that even if assembled in China, the electrical contacts themselves are ALL made in Germany to ensure high quality with every single part. Their performance and safety is way better than almost every other electrical connection in a compareable price range.
    Greetings from Bavaria 😊

I come from Czechia, and let me tell you wagos and screw down connectors (called chocolate) are the norm here. When i first saw wirenuts I could not believe that something that seemed so insecure could be up to any code... Also shouldn't they be wrapped in tape when finished installing?

This is bizarre because these Wagos are so easy to use! As for taping them - I've heard both ways in the USA and I don't think there's anything in building code that enforces/restricts tape but I'm not an electrician so who can say?

Wirenuts are safe when used correctly. There are few situations where they need to be taped. Like almost 0.
Those screw down connectors look nice, but I can't see how they would work in North American wiring situations where the cable comes into a box (light switch or socket) and is connected to the switch, socket and perhaps runs on to the next thing...

We really need another Wago video?
    I use wirenuts.
I may order some Wago's (just in case) but don't need them. I like the "inline" type which could be useful when there is not much wire left (someone's badly done home project needing a fix).
Another channel proved (also) that Wago's are slightly more resistant than using properly done wirenuts. Not enough to worry about - but ...

Wirenuts are illegal in most of EU for a reason. too many opportunities for error.
