I still think using the method in this video is the quickest overall (if you're wanting to use a less supported icon pack like the Drops Icon Pack); however, it's definitely very helpful for quickly changing icons on the fly later on down the road.
Kudos to you Sam for uploading in what I assume is 21:9 screen ratio . It's so much better to watch videos in this format and not lose much if anything to cropping . Thanks champ 👍😁
Being a complete noob, I found an easy way to make a similar layout (with minimal visual compromise): Download lawnchair 2 (free) Download Drops icon set (free) Apply the launcher, hold the home screen icon you want to change and press edit, and choose a minimalist drop icon. Hide search bars and icon labels. Important for me was to change all the launchers font styles to "Google Sans" for the clean look.
Just like always Sam, wonderfully clean and minimal setup video. One question Sam, what would be the procedure to setup a similar screen if one is using a Nova launcher, and what should be the icon layout size if the icons are of normal size and well supported.
Sam, everything is great and all but why is your Gboard still not customized. I'll suggest you an app that you can use to further customize your Gboard since you also have ROOT functionality. Install, use and Showcase Rboard Theme Manager Application on your next best android apps with root video. Thanks for the great videos.
I really love your setups, minimal and clean. But here is an idea ;).For us, we using miui why..not you make a theme we can download and apply for miui =)
Hey There , Can you make a video showing how to make a home screen setup on a MIUI device now without rooting it , because you can no more use Google Files App(It just forces you to the Mi File Explorer) for importing app icon in kwgt and it is not available in Mi File Explorer to import icons from icon pack to kwgt .
Why do you need root? I just went on lawn chairs telegram downloaded the latest version and hit install apk and then went into setting and made it default of my Samsung galaxy no root needed.
When using 3rd party launchers with gestures it doesn't work properly like there are glitch when closing app using gestures..opening recent task causes lag.. can't use 3rd party launchers at all..stuck with default launcher.

Yes, via KWGT, Just select the size of the widget on your home screen, tap on it and select any widget from the custom widget pack, remove all the contents from the widget, yayy you are done

I recreated this on my Pixel 6 today and I couldn't be happier. It's such a clean and refreshing user experience.

I've actually showcased Rboard on the channel before! I just prefer the stock look of Gboard.

try use klwp, to detect what launcher you're using and changing it depending on that
