here's my unpopular random opinion:
notice the room where jin closed the curtains. it's the same room where jk entered and saw the coat hangers. it's the aftermath of what happened in jin's room.
jin is protecting the truth from jungkook that's why he's been closing the curtains. jungkook wants to know the truth that's why when jin closed the curtain, his face looks mad.
the cloak with a mask isn't a person, it's a costume. the empty hangers mean the other members already wore their costumes and waiting for him outside.
jungkook seemed to be the last one who realized the truth which is the fake love. he witnessed all the sufferings of his hyungs. that's why we think that he has been watching them. when he also realized the truth he joins his hyungs.
when you wear a mask, it means you are hiding your true self right? when the block fell or whatsoever it was, it crashed them, but they didn't die. what died is their untrue selves. perhaps, them with a masked being crashed is the end of them being untrue to theirselves
Or JK goes "undercover", he is not really joining them but fakes it. When he takes the cloak and mask, he joins them and makes them think that he is now one of them, not his true self, to discover their secrets. It's probably dumb but that is one of the things that I thought of lol, could be a possibility, honestly no one knows with these guys haha

When the wall/rock falls in the end, there are 2 members who kneel: Suga & Jungkook, who were always connected in the series. Why? We'll get the answer on "Love Yourself: Answer" !
The coathangers were empty because the other members had already passed through that room. Jungkook looks at his cape and his mask, puts them on and then he joins the others. It was never a person.
Also Jungkook is always late, since WINGS we've been seeing Jungkook catching up with the rest.
The scene with Jungkook walking towards the members, we've seen before: Young Forever, Tae is the one catching up, but the members are upside down until Tae joins them and everything is right again (another parallel with Jungkook).
From right to left from our perspective: Hoseok, Jimin, Namjoon, (Jungkook), Jin, Yoongi, and Taehyung (in the lineup when Jungkook goes to join them).
Also I think the block dropped in front of them not on top, I think it's a wall, another means for them to isolate and hide their true selves.
Also Jin looks at the Esmeraldo flower before closing the curtains on Jungkook, Esmeraldo flowers represent secrets. And you know who is the only one who knows Jin's secret? Taehyung. That secret costs Jungkook his chosen family. (Notes)
Also all of them can't escape their fears except once they have the masks on, that's what I got from it.

I'm just giving credits not spam, he worked hard looking for information e.e).
If you stop video in the last scene u will see that while the block is falling they started to sink.

In Highlight reel , he kicked The cellphone away instead of The bowling ball, that's because he wanted to move on . Ok so remember the highlight reel and the teaser? In the teaser they exchanged something in the magic shop that leads to the highlight reel where they meet the girls which I also think that the girls symbolizes their love but all of it is fake happiness and fake love and that leads to the ending of highlight reel where they lost the girls, making jimin injured, making v caught by the police, making yoongi and the girl fight(maybe yoongi's having trouble in making music), jin seeing his girl get hit by a car, rm is scared/shy to talk to the girl and most importantly jungkook being in a wheelchairThat what happens physically And that is where the extended part occurs U will see jungkook putting on the mask which means he wants to pretend more that everything is fine( that's what his been telling to himself, he lies to himself and pretends) and other members do the same they ignored their true self and pretend which is why all of it is fake but their suffering isn't.That kind of fake happiness is just a glimpse and turn them back into reality where they have to continue their real life that occurs in run and i need u eraeverything crumbles apart, the extended version is where they breakdown and killing their true self while using their fake self, while using that mask who blinds them from facing their reality.where everyone suffers and die

A theory: the box at the end traps the boys inside a maze/labyrinth (think young forever mv),, and the next part of the story might focus on the boys trying to find their way out. The way out would become their ‘Answer: Epiphany’ aka the last chapter of the LY series. (In short they dying in the end actually represents the death of their fake/masked selves)
Jungkook sacrifice his happiness for the others but it got out of controlled that they saw their fears
Jhope:being left by his mother on the carnival
Rm: Fear of not knowing himself
Suga: Fear of losing his mother
Tae:fear of losing a friend
Jin:Fear of not helping others
Jimin: fear of not accomplishing his dream
So thats why its called fake love its something like they want to find fake happiness so they sacrificed by putting jungkook behind the curtains like locking him for their happiness or love which is all fake

That's why the rest of the coth hangers were empty. Boys already took their robes and Jungkook was the last one, the scene that jungkook meets the robe with the mask, it is him who will wear it, and when he wear it he open the other door which his hyungs are waiting for him.

Okay, this isn’t the best theory, but here-
Where they (or in this case jungkook), were wearing the masks, which I’m guessing represents them hiding who they truly are for the one they love.
And they get crushed by the rock(?), showing that they’re essentially ‘killing’ their fake selves. They’re killing the part of them that causes the love to be fake.
And maybe this (the killing of the masked selves) shows that they’re trying to fix themselves, to be more open, and more true to who they actually are, and to find and be in a love that is real. No more hiding behind a mask, because it’s now broken.

When music kicked in I was like "Am I tripping? Or has it always been like this?" lmaooo. Then when the rock version kicked in I literally screeched and held my breath till the last second because rock is my fav genre. I didn't know I needed this version until we got it

Just a shot in the dark but what do y'all think about this theory?
The other members were able to exchange their suffering at the Magic Shop during the teaser.
But when Jungkook went in, it appeared he was handed a key with no exchange required.
However Jungkook's actual payment was the suffering of seeing the others in pain.
So he exchanged his loneliness and inability to help the others and was able to eventuality join them.
Since he also lost his memory after the car accident it took him longer to reach the end.
The last room never had a masked man in it. But simply an empty mask and cloak on a coat rack. And the other empty coat racks were there because the other members had already put theirs on and were waiting for Jungkook.
And Perhaps the masked man in the booth was actually one of the other members trying to help Jungkook regain his memory.

I'm living for that high-pitched "WHAT" at 10:33 and 10:39. Same. 😅😂
My opinion is that of course, the rooms that they're all in represent their fears.
The part where J-Hope tries to keep the door shut isn't him trying to keep RM in the container, it's him trying to keep his own fears out, but it manages to slip through and consumes his mind.
The container with the handles that RM was in represents his "house" and the bus that he rode with the girl he gave the hair tie to from the magic shop. The mirror in the container is most likely the whole mirror. RM traded in a fragment of a mirror that said, "We must survive" in the Magic Shop MV.
The place where Jimin is represents his most recent regret. During a dance practice, he messed up and hit the girl who was practicing with him, and she fell and was bleeding. He freaked out and went to wash all the blood off of his arm, and by the time he realized what was going on, J-Hope already took the girl to the hospital. Jimin ran to go to the hospital as well and grabbed an umbrella on his way out, but he realized there was nothing he could do. Not really sure, but I think that's why Jimin received the umbrella from the magic shop.
Jin's room getting turned into a huge mess and the fact that he was unable to protect the flower represented when he was unable to protect the girl he was going to see when she died in a car accident right before his eyes.
The hallway filled with phones and the message "save me" at the end of the hallway represents the time when V stabbed his father and tried to call RM, and he met a girl who tried to steal a backpack from a convenience store. He helped pay for the backpack and they got close after he got her to stop stalking him. Somewhere next to the convenience store was something with the message "I'm fine," but because of the incident with V's father, it was turned upside down to say save me. There's also a different story where V didn't stab his father, and he threw the broken bottle of alcohol to the ground and J-Hope came. He was kind of out of it, and when he came to his senses, he looked at his phone, and it was displaying RM's phone number. That might explain why V was looking at the phone in his hand.
Suga's room represents his burnt down house and the piano his mother who died in the fire. When first responders arrived, they asked him if anyone else was in the house, but he said that there wasn't. (He couldn't believe the words that were coming out of his mouth) Because of this, his mother died in the fire.
When water comes rushing into the dance studio, the fire grows in Suga's room, J-Hope disappearing into the candy bars, and the whole hallway lighting up with the phone screens, it symbolizes all their fears rushing in and consuming them, making them realize that what they traded in at the magic shop was just a temporary fix.
I also think that the last scene where it shows the whole group in robes with the masks represents them being untrue to themselves and "pretending" to be someone they're not. By crushing them, they stopped "pretending."

Yes Jungkook knows everything that his hyungs is suffering, but V was trapped w/ a hundreds of phone wc represents the scene where he killed his father (i need u MV) and tried to call RM and said "hyung i want to see you" (butterfly MV) but Rm couldn't call him back (reflection MV). He said he was fine but inside, he was seeking for help to save him.💥💥 (Save me, I'm Fine)

They "died" plenty of time in their previous mvs. Even the original Fake Love, Jimin's room floods and Suga's burst into flames. They never really die, it's symbolic.
Fudge fudge fudge i just thought of this, Jungkook’s fear is watching his hyungs suffer so maybe that’s why the music video shows him watching them from the side while they were suffering and wasnt able to help, all 7 of them were going thru their fears at the same time
I’m late but here’s what I think. In the teaser all of the members go to the Magic Shop and turn in something to receive something else. Kookie didn’t turn in anything. At least from what we see. Now they give him a key. What if the key is the thing that unlocks the answer. All Kookie has to do for this Answer is give up himself, his youth, and how he views the world because that key will open the door to the reality which he is being protected from. The room with the cloak and mask is the same room as Jin’s room in the beginning. I feel like Kookie is looking in from the outside and the other members are trying to keep him out (like with the curtains and jhope holding the door). They are trying to protect him from the truth. So he’s looking in on them suffering. Now we see the cut scene with the cherry blossoms which symbolizes youth and the beauty of life. Well after that he leaves that beautiful place with the cherry blossoms and enters the waterfall, which was dark. So he’s leaving behind the youth and the beauty and is maybe starting to see how the world truly is and starting to see what the members have been trying to protect him from. He takes the key and opens the door to the cloak and mask, which must be the answer. There is only one mask and cloak left. You see a bunch of empty coat hangers which could symbolize them members already had their cloak and mask and were waiting for Kookie to join them. He meets the other members outside and joins them in wearing the cloak and mask. That could mean he’s joining them in putting on a mask and leaving behind the beautiful life he thought it was. He found out the truth (Fake Love). He could be wearing the mask to hide his true self, as protection from Fake Love. Then the box falling. It could mean that the box is blocking them from finding their way out of this depressing time and finding themselves and it could also mean that they are trapped inside of this box (I.e the box being the music industry or themselves) and kneel down because they are accepting it.
But again, it’s just a theory. Sorry if it’s a little confusing
Edit: also in this when Kookie walks toward the members in his cloak and mask you see half the screen is light and the other half is dark. This could symbolize both the happy and dark times of love and life. They are trying to leave it all behind but the box blocks them from escaping or leaving

So anyways I have a theory
We all remember that magic shop is a concept that takes an object of your fear and gives you happy memories but in actuality they are fake cause they never happened kind of like to give a Euphoric state.....so yeah my point is that in the last scene when Jungkook enters that room ,the top of the room looks like the lid of the magic box shown in the trailer and the masked BTS are something that came out of the box so this form of them is actually a fake one and now BTS are trying to fight their fears head on and smash their fake selves and happiness cause they want it the real way
notice jimin's room. that one angle when he was glancing up at Jk's position. there are a lot of connections in jimin's room. the painting on his wall which was the painting on Wings: Lie.. the abstract on the floor which was the floor where Jk was standing in the DNA MV. the mirror which was in the dance practice room during the highlight reel. the sink where he washed his hands with blood when he accidentally hit the girl on the highlight reel.
If you watch BTS fake love in Mnet comeback show you'll see all of them wearing the black cloak and that mask..

Well I saw in the twitter that someone had a theory that the flower in the glass (or something) that Jin was trying to protect was Jungkook and that he was trying to protect him from learning, watching and hearing and knowing about the others misery, sadness and pain but he couldn't protect him so in the end he learned about it cause he was the only one that didn't know and learned about last.

I think that it really was all the members and not just Jungkook because in one of their comeback shows they performed fake love and towards the end they added a bit more dance work and then they all put on black hoodies and a mask which makes it even more interesting since they showed that in their comeback first then they released this extended version which I think shows how much detail and time they put into this that what I got from watching that comeback and then watching this version and I do think it symbolizes them facing themselves . So my understanding is that (after listening to Begin from the Wings album) JK is very connected emotionally to his hyungs and since he’s the youngest and everyone sees him like the little brother they have to protect, they all try their hardest to shield him from the pain they’re going through. They’re all in rooms surrounded by their traumatic memories. JK can see them all and they know he’s watching. They can’t show JK their pain and weakness because they don’t want to worry him. That’s the fake love. They’re all pretending and it’s hurting everyone involved.
