Thanks!
Watching you mix the colors while you explained was extremely helpful. And i really saw the difference in the mountains in the foreground vs background when you varied the colors more. Overall great tutorial!
Thanks Edwin, glad you got something out of it!
Same!
@@chamberlainpaintings I like your setup...the easel and palette did you make them?
Pretty close on the sea green?? Dude...you NAILED it! Absolutely love the end result.
Thanks Tanya 😊
You are the best 🙏
😊
Really helpful thank you
newbie oil painter here, I struggle so much with accuracy of colors. so thank you!
Love ure art
Michael makes the chillest videos ever, so cool to just lay back and watch him paint, meditation who?😂
Pro trick : you can watch movies at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Eli Ronan yea, been using flixzone} for since december myself :)

.....thanks for sharing your mixing techniques in order to get the correct value - really helps.
Missed being here my health hasn't been good. Watching you paint and what you paint is so soothing to me! I hope you are doing well and happy belated holidays and happy new year mike!! Wish you all the best for 2020!!❤️☺️🌟
Thanks Brooke! 😊💛
chamberlainpaintings Your welcome mike! Thanks for just being you. Wish I could be one of your paintings. It would be called "glimpse of a siren". As in a mermaid
This was a great video. There are a lot of artist videos that show them painting but never teach anything... I thank you for teaching.
Your color control is incredible, I love watching you mix. Watching your videos makes me want to do only beach paintings (and there is nothing wrong with that!).
Thanks David!
I love ocean vibe ❤️
Excellent tutorial! 😍Thank you!
I've been a fan of Emma since 2017, which lead me to now being a fan of you as well! My late grandmother was an incredible artist, and I've always wondered if I had her talent. You've inspired me to start oil painting and I can't wait! I bought some paint and Liquin today😅😅
So glad you find my videos inspiring! I wish you fun and success on your painting journey. 😊
So glad i stumbled upon your videos! I’m a painter too and i learned so much from this. More power to your channel! :)
Looooove your videos, plus the sound of the ocean makes me feel at peace 🧘🏽♀️💕
Your expertise for mixing and matching color is showing. 🎨. I’ve been in Pacifica many times and you’ve captured it beautifully. I might have put a few sprigs of those weeds in front coming up out of nowhere to establish the foreground. I know you don’t do that in these seascapes, but maybe? As in your viewfinder early on. Thanks for all you do.
Probably a dumb question but: since the water is either coming in as high tide or leaving as low tide, why not paint the water first to capture it before is changes?
Do you ever see problems with lightfastness with Alizarin Crimson? Do you use a permanent alizarin? Much to my chagrin just realized how fugitive alizarin crimson is and i'm trying to figure out a good solution to replace it.
It’s been stable for me. It’s worse with watercolor. There’s no good replacement so I, and many professional painters I know, still use it.

really helped seeing your palette, grazie nm
Thanks as usual wonderful lesson
Good explanation of why a Grey day can be a good day to paint in terms of color mixing. Always a pleasure to watch you paint. Thanks
Love the way it turned out,Great atmosphere🎨👌
It takes an artist a few year's to learn how to mix paint and once you learn that your halfway there I think 🎨😊
Thanks Tez! Mixing colors was probably my biggest challenge when I first started.
@@chamberlainpaintings Yeah same me Mike, It took me a good 5 years or so turn learn that. Happy Painting Mate 🎨😊
You’re so so talented!
😊💛
Ok but you're so so talented omg
hi! this piece turned out amazing!
Thanks!
Seeing lots of 'Sap Green', near your easel/ foreground? It may be a friendly addition to your color palette for those distant cliffs.
I tried sap green a while ago and didn't end up using it very much. I think I liked the greens I mixed from primaries better. Maybe I'll have to give it another try!
@@chamberlainpaintings I agree! Small amounts go a long way.
Man I can't wait to get to your level when I can paint all day
👍👍👍
How do you make your view finder?
omg hi
hi 😊
Is your Alizarin Crimson genuine or permanent? curious, because I'm wondering if I should switch to permanent?
I don't use permanent alizarin crimson because it's not the same color and handles differently. I use genuine alizarin crimson. I've asked a bunch of my friends who paint professionally and they all use the real deal.
Would you please share the name/ type of easel & palette you use? It seems stable in wind?
takeiteasel.com 😊👍
What’s Up Mike! Nice Vid
Suddenly I was thinking about you having a weekly hour show on some streaming service. I'm not painting right now so I'm able to produce it lol.
Great artist and great art! I've noticed you focus mostly on the "realistic" side of art. I was wondering what are your thoughts on the abstract side of art? Amazing work! All the best!!
Thanks! I'll include your question in my next Q&A.
@@chamberlainpaintings Thanks so much!!
Early 😁
