Nice one Steve. 😎👍 Goat ye up oan the big telly. Misses & dugs are asleep. 😂 It's a good 4some that route eh. Ma first pitch on my pyramid tent oan the 1st Munro. Mad snow showers like. Best way to do them. Cheeky 2 nights away. Cannae beat it.
A great trip ! The dogs look like great companions on any trip. As you'd been looking forwards to the trip we're happy you had a good trip. Some fantastic views and showed up very well in your film. Great stuff 😁👍🏼
Ey up Stevie. Brilliant mate, what an adventure, fantastic views, and the Bothy is in a beautiful spot. Such a shame it’s not open. Thanks for sharing your trip with us all mate. All the best, Dave 😀🥾⛰🏕️🏴🏴
Epic shift Stevie... I'd be broken after that... but what a lovely little tent that is... Very nice indeed... I hope the cider helped you sleep after that short meander... 👍👍👍👍😎
Cheers Jim , yeah it was a tough one that . Dogs were goosed when I got home . I see your channel has exploded, brilliant mate . I’ve got a bit of RUclips to catch up on .. cheers Stevie
Jees oh Stevie - that's some trek in with a forever bag! As you know we were in the next day on the bikes. That first 700m pull up is a ball buster and that wee snowy bit had us a bit worried too but was ok. Good feeling to get back on to the Ben Alder path at the end even though it's a long walk out. Some effort by the dogs too 🐶 Great trip you had - enjoyed watching that back. 🥾🥾👍
Superb Stevie😍👍..What a brilliant adventure mate 😁..Thanks for pointing out all the surrounding mountains 😁👍..The dogs looked as if they had a great time mate..Iam defo getting myself up to that neck of the woods 😁..Top vlog mate😍👍 Cheers Robert
Brilliant Stevie, really enjoyed that mate seen as we did them 4 yesterday. That is one long trip and defo the best way with your dogs doing 2 nights. That pull up from the bothy was a steep bugger eh🤣🤣 Your commentary through out was brill. We had quite a bit of snow as well Stevie which made it look all the more beautiful. Great edit, enjoyed watching that👍 ATB Frank
Cheers Frank, aye Brian told me yous were going to do them yesterday , its a bugger they closed the crossing at the station . I'll look forward to your video Frank ...
A nice informative video there Stevie👍 Happy to see a river with lots of running water near the Bothy too. Looks like a great route with some good views too.
Cheers Gaz, i've actually plotted out a route which included the hills you were on . Starting from the Loch Laggen side but decided to stick to the walkhighlands route
Wow! Stevie! Just catching up. As you know we cycled in and I’m thinking that’s a fair old distance to hike in with the dogs!! Cracking camp spot though and a stunning area. That initial pull up the first Munro is a mare. Lovely wee video and some cracking views mate!! Cheers! Paulo
Cheers Paul, i had to walk in because of the dogs ..3 and half hours it took, i biked in the first time i went in there years ago. Yes the initial pull up from the bothy was steep but i thought the walk out back to the bothy was a mission ...atb Stevie
Excellent ! Been thinking about Ben Alder for a long time, since I saw the photo of it in the 1990’s edition of the SMC Munro Book. Such an iconic view from the bothy. Planning to go there in June! Thanks for the content! ATB Nick
PS I’m coming up from England on the train and I wondered if the estate road would be ok for a little Brompton folding bit I could b img on the train? Nick
Cheers Nick, Ben Alder is a cracking looking mountain . It was almost 10 years ago i done it, i camped at the same location as this trip...June will be nice , just the midges
Wow what a tour! Super tough day with ~1600m ascent imho 💪. Was looking a long time for some routes in this area and quite like the idea of yours, fairly easy (still long) walk in and having a base camp instead of carrying all the stuff up the hill - something to think about! Thanks a lot Stripey
Cheers Stripey, yeah it was a great trip . I did think about a high camp but the location near the bothy is spot on ...I camped there before my youtube days ..
@@ootnboots I think it was perfect! No need to camp all the time high up imho. So much less to worry about camping low and soon we are anyway forced to camp high up due to the wee beasts 😉. Really liked it, thanks a lot.
Hi Stevie, nice to catch up with you and presumably your Munro bagging to add to your tally? It looked a beautiful area and been a long time since I walked through there which was one of my worst weather trips so nice to see the bothy as I couldn’t really remember it. We had snow for a few days and we stayed in the bothy but was really cold as we had no fuel. We walked from Avimore to Fort William. Anyway nice to see you and ATB Cheers 👍🍻🏕️
Hi Dave, yeah starting to get my munro round back on track. Ooft , that sounded pretty grim in the bothy with no fuel, tbh there is nothing around there unless you carry fuel in . Good to hear from you Dave and i'll need to catch up with your trips ...I'm off to Rutland again next week ...cheers Stevie
@@summitwithstevie6934 I’ve just bought the hero 12 and the batteries are brilliant. I done the Ben Klibreck and Ben Hope on the one battery.. massive improvement Stevie
@ootnboots145 what one were you using? I'm still using the 7 but don't think I'd go GoPro again. What was the difference in temperature on the trips as they are just absolutely hopeless in any cold weather and wind
@@summitwithstevie6934 I was using the 8 but these batteries with the 12 seem to be a lot better. I'll find out how they are in the winter, hopefully good
