I‘m a metalhead since 1985, listened to a billion of bands, trillions of albums an a zentillion of songs. Epicus doomicus metallicus is the best album of all times. Listened to it an infinity amount of times. Still goosebumbs, every time, every fucking song. It is the singularity of my metal-world. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I personally don't think he sounds as good as he did on the first album, those vocals on the original set of albums were absolutely amazing. But he does still sound great!
@@darkmarv8045 he makes random one off guest appearances for super small bands over the years and has been qoute on qoute working on a solo album since his last departure from Candlemass. He's still got the voice, I wish he did something.
He was only 19 when he joined Candlemass. A mature operatic voice and spectacular presence, by far my fave singer in this band. This guy looks like a Karaoke singer after a few pints on a Friday night at the Boars Head Inn...
Maybe I'm crazy but I think he sounds even better these days than when he was younger. He just obviously can't hit those crazy high notes for an extended period like he used to be able to, but everything else about his voice sounds fucking incredible.
His voice was amazing and is still fucking amazing! Best singer that Candlemass ever had, i never understood the Messiah obsession, i mean he was good, but his choppy fast vibrato just isnt a think i like personaly.

Candlemass captures the doom of “Into The Void” and turned it into a career more elegantly than any other doom Metal band has.
I truly hope this lineup produces a live album.
They did record Epicus live in full, its a really expensive import cd, though.
We sort of got that now with Green Valley
Props to the Bass player for sporting the Manilla Road Shirt R.I.P. Marc the Shark
another killer tune of legend
LEGENDA!!! Sorcerer's last words...
Is that the singer from Epicus? Sounds awesome. Better even than back then.
@@alexanderlundin6311 Thanks for your answer. How awesome is that? Stillborn back with Kari Hokkanen, Candlemass with Lanquist.

EPIC Song
he saw you! 2:55 lol
Nothing less than pure Doom Metal Awesomeness !! 🤘😈🤘
(/Christer)
Johan is starting to look like James Hetfield.
I dont know why i googled it but James is 20 days older than Johan
Tremendous!!!!🎸🎵🐈⬛👍☠️
My Favorite Candlemass Album hands down.
GOD !
No No.. GOD`S...

Absolute legends! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I wish he used his clean voice in the intro instead of the clean one. I'm glas Leif is back on stage.
Clássico!🤘
Candlemass rules 😍
Pure metal
Johan Lanqvist have incredible voice! Save doomers!
Is this the audio from your cellphone or camera? If so, it sounds amazing.

@@motleydude73 This dude is the vocalist from Epicus Doomicus Metallicus fuck off dude haha what have you done.
@@shillian4770 Well aware of that. Just saying, IMO, Messiah was a better fit for the band, image and sound wise.
I know he is he original singer of this song, but damn Messiah has a way larger presence and voice than Johan
Idk, listen how he does that “will riiiisssseeee” part, sounds way more powerful and Messiah.
Is this guy Messiah Marcolin?????
No! He is Johan Lanqvist
Sadly he sounds nothing like he did in 86.
