첫째 날, 인류의 낮과 밤이 하나님의 권능으로 말미암아 생겨나고 세워지다
우선 첫 번째 단락을 보자. “하나님이 가라사대 빛이 있으라 하시매 빛이 있었고 그 빛이 하나님의 보시기에 좋았더라 하나님이 빛과 어두움을 나누사 빛을 낮이라 칭하시고 어두움을 밤이라 칭하시니라 저녁이 되며 아침이 되니 이는 첫째 날이니라”(창 1:3~5). 이 단락은 하나님이 세상을 창조하기 시작하면서 행한 첫 번째 일을 기록하고 있다. 그리고 하나님이 보낸 첫 번째 저녁이 있고 아침이 있던 하루를 기록하고 있다. 그러나 그것은 아주 평범하지 않은 하루이다. 하나님은 만물을 위해 빛을 예비하고 빛과 어두움을 나누었다. 이날 하나님의 말씀이 시작되었다. 그의 말씀과 권능은 공존한다. 그의 권능은 만물 가운데서 나타났고, 그의 능력은 그의 말씀으로 말미암아 만물 가운데서 펼쳐졌다. 이날부터 만물은 하나님의 말씀과 권세, 그리고 하나님의 능력으로 말미암아 세워지고 이루어졌으며, 하나님의 말씀과 권세, 그리고 하나님의 능력으로 말미암아 운행되기 시작했다. 하나님의 “빛이 있으라”, 이 말씀이 있자 ‘빛’이 생겼다. 하나님이 어떠한 행동도 취하지 않았지만, ‘빛’은 하나님의 말씀으로 말미암아 생겨났다. 그것은 오늘날까지도 사람이 여전히 의지하며 살아가고 있는 하나님에 의해 낮이라 명명된 ‘빛’이다. 하나님의 결정으로 말미암아 그것은 자신의 본질과 가치를 바꿔 본 적이 없다. 또한 사라진 적도 없다. 그것의 존재는 하나님의 권세와 능력을 나타내고 있고, 또한 창조주의 존재를 알리고 있으며, 반복적으로 창조주의 신분과 지위를 입증하고 있다. 그것은 공허하지도 아득하지도 않으며, 사람들이 진짜로 볼 수 있는 빛이다. 이로부터 ‘땅이 혼돈하고 공허하며 흑암이 깊음 위에’ 있던 모호함으로 뒤덮인 이 세계에 첫 번째 물질이 생겨난 것이다. 이것은 하나님의 말씀으로부터 온 것이며, 하나님의 권능으로, 하나님의 음성을 빌어 만물이 만들어진 첫 장면에 출현하였다. 이어서 하나님은 빛과 어두움을 나누었다. … 이 모든 것은 하나님의 말씀으로 인해 변화되고 이루어졌다. …
하나님은 ‘빛’을 ‘낮’이라 명명하고 ‘어두움’을 ‘밤’이라 칭하였다. 이로부터 하나님이 만들고자 한 세계의 첫 번째 저녁과 첫 번째 아침이 생겨났으며, 하나님은 이날을 첫째 날이라 칭하였다. 이날은 창조주가 만물을 창조한 첫째 날이며, 또한 만물 창조의 시작이고, 창조주의 권세와 능력이 그가 만든 이 세계에서 첫 번째로 나타난 날이다.
이 단락의 말씀은 사람들에게 하나님의 권능을 보여 주고, 하나님 말씀의 권세와 하나님의 능력을 보여 준다. 하나님만이 이러한 능력을 지녔으므로, 하나님만이 이러한 권세를 지니고 있다. 하나님이 이러한 권세를 지녔기에 하나님만이 이러한 능력을 지니고 있다. 그 누가 그 어떤 것이 이러한 권세와 능력을 갖출 수 있겠느냐? 너희 마음속에 이에 대한 답이 있느냐? 하나님을 제외하고, 그 어떤 피조물이나 비피조물이 이러한 권능을 가지고 있느냐? 너희는 어떤 책이나 간행물에서 이러한 사례를 본 적이 있느냐? 누군가가 유사 이래로 천지를 창조한 기록이 있느냐? 이것은 책이나 어떠한 기록에도 없으며, 물론 성경에서도 이것은 유일한 기록이다. 그것은 하나님의 세상 창조에 관한, 위세가 드높고 권능과 위력을 지닌 말씀인데, 이 부분은 하나님의 유일무이한 권능을 대표하며, 유일무이한 하나님의 신분을 대표한다. 이러한 권세와 능력은 하나님의 유일무이한 신분의 상징이라고 말할 수 있지 않으냐? 하나님 자신만이 가지고 있는 것이라 말할 수 있지 않으냐? 그것은 하나님 자신만이 지닌 권세와 능력이라고 자신 있게 말할 수 있다! 이 권세와 능력은 그 어떤 피조물과 비피조물도 갖추지 못한 것이며 대체할 수도 없는 것이다! 이것은 유일무이한 하나님 자신만의 한 특징이 아니냐? 이것을 너희는 보았느냐? 이 부분의 말씀을 통해 아주 빠르고 정확하게 하나님이 유일무이한 권세와 유일무이한 능력을 가졌고, 지극히 높은 신분과 지위를 가졌다는 이 사실을 알게 되었다. 이상의 교통을 통해, 너희가 믿는 하나님이 바로 유일무이한 하나님 자신이라고 말할 수 있지 않으냐?
