Right? I'm about to make "Team Dr John" t-shirts so we can recognize one another when we go out for our last week of freedom, before the world goes into self-quarantine. #TeamDrJohn
Brandi Lynn Dominguez yes please! I’ll have a few! Let us know on here when you have them please, what a great idea, I’m sure you’ll get lots of orders
Do you remember the tv programme Doctor Who and the Dalaks? The Daleks would say ‘Exterminate, Exterminate! Maybe that could be a slogan somewhere in the shirts? Appropriate?
Iran deputy health minister "Quarantine doesn't work", catches the virus and goes into self Quarantine to stop spreading the virus. Pretty much sums up how the world has reacted to this virus. What a pisstake.
Platonic Love How can Iran be this stupid?? Do they even know what’s going on in the world & what’s happening in China?? Seriously stupid people they are
Platonic Love he was in isolation wasn’t he? Meaning even his family couldn’t come near him. I hope ... it’s very sad to see this as it shows how ignorant ministers and major world leaders are.
Dr. Campbell, Many people are given Nobel prizes for medicine, peace and other scientific topics. Although you did not invent anything with your videos, you give us something more important: the sharing of scientific knowledge and your opinion which builds on scientific foundations. I believe strongly that you should be awarded some public recognition for your work. Your reports are extremely useful, educational and, most importantly, highly convicted to scientific methods. I hope you read this and I will be searching online for medicinal prizes and recognitions. I will be recommending you to those and linking to your RUclips channel. A very thankful citizen, Gus Ljungberg
kim warburton being head of who means he‘ll have to deal with leaders and political and economical situations. i’d much rather want him to be awarded with a prize that aknowledges his humanistic efforts. give him a peace prize!! 😉
@kisn pins - exactly! Dr Campbell is proof that a man in his home with a couple of cameras, a computer, an internet connection and the use of his brain can do more than the WHO. WHO has become like NASA - a bureaucratic black hole!
I've learned that virtually every governmental organization in the world, and a hefty majority of my own peers, are inadequately managing this outbreak. It's an unhealthy combination of i) ignorance regarding the evidence/data out there and ii) a passive or reactive response to the events unfolding, rather than proactive. The WHO should have been far more aggressive in the early stages of the outbreak and my friends are still in complete denial of the situation, thinking that there's no real danger. Strange that people wouldn't at least prepare for the worst case scenario.
Kevin B Chris and Dr Campbell are the only two Covid videos I watch. I do check ADVChina, since they still have close contacts on the ground, but not for medical assessment.
John Campbell, you receive a title better than a doctor, you are spending countless of your precious time just to help people and warn them, like a prophet would, thank you for your work. The world will look at you in the coming days in awe.
A few minutes ago the German Minister of Health declared that Germany is facing an epidemic because the infection chains could no longer be traced. We had Carnival 2 days before and in the cities that celebrate Carnival intensely, some infections have now been found. This is not a good thing .... Lots of people, little space, lots of kissing, frequent sharing of drinks .... oh lord jesus... Best regards from germany
Dont worry about the german carnivals... It is carnival season in the canary islands, and those carnivals are international and huge.. many foreigners go there, you. People get super super close, in a good night, the mass of people can easily go up to 100k or more... in a very little space...All those touristes go back to their country and....We are fucked.
I was walking through a major German city today, with my mask and goggles on of course, and entered a shopping mall to sit down on a bench in the 2nd floor. I had a clear view of the food court and shops on the floor below me, and it was packed with hundreds of maskless people eating, coofing, sneezing everywhere. There was one lady, she walked around without shoes, coughing and clearly disoriented. People didn't even care. I saw people that looked like they had the flu, picking out clothes to try on in stores. And sneezing into a kleenex. It was a truly magnificent thing to witness, and even though I may now be infected, it was worth it.
Also... my entire apartment building is filled with people who work for Huawei, and only stay here a couple months before the company gives the apartment to some other worker from China. On a scale of 1 to 10 how f*** do you think I am?
My ex was just in hospital he's been diagnosed with the flu but from the minute he walked into the hospital he was isolated and they did swabs everywhere off him. They definitely taking things seriously in the UK.
I'm in Manchester in the UK. They took swabs of his nose, mouth and rectum lol....which he wasn't pleased about. He was in a room that was high tec n removed air before ppl walked in lol. It had two sets of doors and the nurses masked up in between the doors before they entered. He was also soaped up with some weird soap that the nurses administered everyday. Took a couple of days to get the results.
Cases have been declining in China immediately after they announced that local authorities will be held responsible for any future infections. Too much of a coincidence imo.
i wouldn't trust China. i live in Italy and the outbreak is being treated with what can only seem like massive incompetence... and gross stupidity by political, medical and 'media' authorities. which i guess is normal and kind of unavoidable for every government... but add incompetence and stupidity to untrustworthiness, lack of a free press, and a propensity to lie, and you get China.
radixvinni How many countries or continents does this have to infect to qualify as a pandemic? It’s in all continents except Antarctica. In the last 3 days 15 countries have new cases. It’s spreading like crazy!!
@@Meop79 I agree. I will not praise China for their methods. I 'm sure all those people dying in their homes now are not being counted as having the virus. There is no way they are testing anymore as they were
China had stopped reporting most cases at this point. Check the numbers for each region and you'll see exactly when it started (and how ridiculous the curves look, which is the indicator that it's being suppressed).
the real numbers need another zero or two to reflect the real issue of corona virus. You do not quarantine a billion people over 2800 deaths and 80K infections.
Dr. Campbell, please review the just released news from Japan. The tour guide in Osaka, one of the first confirmed cases, recovered was released, but is now testing positive again and has symptoms again. The news just broke on our official national news Network the NHK. It's only in Japanese language, but I think you can use Google translate on chrome browser. Thank you.
sounds bad. There are several similar cases here in China, so they are changing the procedure when it comes to recovered patient. Some recovered patients are quarantined further for 14 days and those release earlier is being monitored again. What is the situation now in Japan?
The same news from China. People who got discharged got tested positive again. I cannot understand how Japanese officials could let over 900 ppl get out of Diamond Princess with no further quarantine. This is madness.
@@turtlesoup8134 I don't now the official procedure in Japan, but maybe the woman was released too early after testing negative. Because in the article, it said about 2 weeks after she was released, she started to get a dry cough again, and was retested and came back positive, and is now back in the hospital in quarantine. So either she caught it again, or it never went fully away, and the virus came back. That is what our news is saying.
@@KyotoExports There is also a case where the doctors in China also suspect that a patient got the virus the second time. They aren't sure but it is not very common so far. The standard procedure is testing negative 3 times and a negative MRI scan of the lungs in order to be discharged. Now they are adding additional 14 days quarantine to those discharged.
First case confirmed today in São Paulo, Brazil (the first in South America). I think they waited the end of Carnaval to disclose. Lots and lots of money involved. Well, we are $crewed.

It makes no sense to me that other countries are able to test so many people. But in the US the test kits are flawed and most states are not testing. I bet if we where actually testing people there would be a lot more cases.
CDC officials had a forum on February 19 at University of Washington, where they admit they didn't test enough because they're afraid of false-positive on their test-kit, but they don't specify if this is China's test-kit or locally made test-kit, so they are only testing people with the test-kit only if they had obvious symptom.
@@xponen think you meant false NEGATIVES rather than false positives. Never heard of a false positive with this coronavirus. But there have been false negatives with full blown disease and positive CT Scans.
@@notsogreen it is said by Dr. George Diaz of Providence Medical Center & by Cathy Lofy of Washington State Department Of Health. They claim of a test positive possibility, because the test is developed by the CDC is more sensitive and target different things on the virus, so they restrict testing for the virus only on suspected patient ONLY.
So it has around a 20% chance of producing severe symptoms (most of these recover with proper treatment). If it effects hundreds of thousands in the coming months, hospitals will start becoming over crowded and low on basic supplies. (most come from china) the death toll will begin to spike due to insufficient care from overwhelmed services. The number we need to know is the percentage of deaths when no teatment can be given.
EXACTLY! Overwhelm the health care system and you die from lack of simple medical treatment. 930,000 hospital beds in the entire USA, or one for every 400 people. 0.25% get critically sick and the hospitals will have to refuse new patients.
That’s why China banned people from going outside other then for supplies stockings. They try slowing down this virus in a moment to provide the hospital treatment for all needed people’s. Other countries should only the same unless they want a massive income of patients to hospitals.
The hotel in Tenerife has all the makings of another diamond princess. One person sick but no one confined to their rooms and no one wearing masks or gloves.
Supreme, the problem is an old one; people put money before the safety of the people. We could have stopped air travel way back in January when we first heard about it, but that would have affected the economy.....so we are now in this mess!
I know someone who is in that hotel, they are given breakfast to their room every day and dinner, but are NOT ALLOWED outside, just inside the cafeteria/restaurant

Well, the even bigger problem is that germans don’t care if their sick. In my school I always get reinfected when I come back, because some people just go to school even if they have the flu. Basically my whole class is permanently ill.

Germany is only serious about being a "good example" for the rest of the EU at the expense of its own citizens. Germany is currently accepting planeloads of travelers from Northern Italy without any controls. Everyday, tens of thousands of travelers from infected areas are flying into Germany and disappearing into the public. Germany is waaayyyy to concerned with political correctness and they will pay dearly for their leftist policies.
International air travel still going strong, that’s like cleaning your house on a rainy Saturday, then take your labradoodles for a walk in the wet fields around your house, then let the dogs and kids back in, the rest is self explanatory, stupid
What are the US's policies on travel bans? Or Canada's? I only heard today Delta is cutting down on flights between South Korea but those should be completely shut down
As usual our CDN Gov't is slow to do anything . I would like to see action now , not when we see a lot of cases that could be prevented by limiting travel to certain areas.
QUESTION for the Doctor: Do you have a cut off moment for when you would no longer go outside and would self-quarantine in your home? I know you're a physician, but is there a point when you, as a regular human, would halt all activity and bunker down? That was redundant, I apologize, but I'm asking if you were us, what would you do...?
Dr. John, I wish my country of Canada had taken this nearly as seriously as the collective "we" have. No one's listening. I've been nursing a very long time and this virus scares me.
Here's some data for you: the amount of coronavirus in each country is directly proportional to the amount of tests they have done. USA has almost no cases - they’ve done 400 tests. South Korea has loads, they’ve done 35,000 tests. Ergo, could be that it is in fact everywhere already, and we’re just not wanting to know, or they are effectively faking an outbreak by scaling tests as the controlling variable. All you have to do to increase or decrease cases is to change the criteria for when to perform a test - and lo and behold, when we look at the criteria for testing by country thats what we find - a direct linear relationship between liberality of testing criteria and the total number of infected cases. Never trust statistics blindly.
Don't you think that this may be completely backwards? Countries where the virus is known to spread in the community test more. This surely is a very significant factor. And the relationship between confirmed cases and number of tests done is nowhere near linear. UK: 7,132 concluded tests, of which 13 positive (0.2% positivity rate). [source] Italy: 9,462 tests, of which 383 positive (4.0% positivity rate), awaiting results: unknown. [source] France: 762 tests, of which 17 positive (2.2% positivity rate), 179 awaiting results. [source] Austria: 321 tests, of which 2 positive (0.6% positivity rate), awaiting results: unknown. [source] From this website: www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ If the relationship is linear, the positivity rate is constant. But it's not: ranges from 0.2% to 4%. Before you say that don't trust statistics blindly, maybe first take a look at statistics and see if what you say makes sense or not. The least thing we need right now is people spreading misinformation.
@@tear728 it's pure garbage made up by them. There is no linear relationship, and most probably the cause/effect relationship is completely backwards. Countries heavily influenced test more.
The USA tests were bad too only a %20 rate of not getting a false negative or positive, plus only 12 states even have test kits and they are very limited. I got some Intel from a Houston police officer said he couldn't give specifics and if he told the truth we would wish he hadn't, said to be prepared for 4 months minimum food, water and daily supplies. We are totally being lied to in the US, just like China has been lying. We have many more cases than what's being reported, while they are trying to stop panic more and more people are getting sick and passing it around. Time to start thinking about hunkering down.
Limit your amount of online bad news. I had to. My life and work must go on even though all the shittiness is going on. It's not sticking my head in the sand....it's just gets too much after a while. Good luck and stay positive.
Well, if you are gonna go down, be prudent, but don't waste the rest of your life worrying-strokes, cancer, etc. can happen, too. Some people get murdered...life is fragile.
I agree. I’ve just said the same to myself. My anxiety is through the roof. I’ve prepared as best I could. Now it’s time to relax, wait, and get on with life. Humans have survived everything from the beginning of time that they’ve been on this planet. We will prevail here as well, and it will not last forever. Here’s to hoping we are old someday, and will be able to reflect on these times.
Same. I have unsubbed from everyone but Dr. Campbell after having some sort of panic attack thinking about all this..I'm on a medication and it scares me thinking how I'll get it during this. I can only get 2 weeks worth at a time. But good advice and stay safe everyone.
Prepare, don't panic. Eat a whole food plant based diet, get enough sleep, exercise and reduce stress. Take care of yourself and each other. We can't rely on corporations and governments.
Or enjoy a bacon sandwich because the world seems to want to burn and we may as well have fun while it does, vegan, vegetarian, yoga instructor, electric car driver, personally saving a dolphin, not going to save you from a virus that doesn't give a flying pasta monster about your beliefs or way of life, same with Cancer, after 20 years in and around hospitals I saw just as many vegans, vegetarians and gym users die as people who smoked and ate whatever made them happy, be safe, have fun and find a reason to smile every day but only drink soya milk and eat fake meat if you actually like that better than the real things.
Americans don’t “act”, we “react”. When “you think” it’s time to prepare and stock up, it’ll already be too late. Ever been to a WalMart or a grocery store on a Saturday or right before a holiday? Think of that X100! You’ll just be glad if you can find a jar of mayonnaise at that point. Time IS of the essence. Shortages of certain items are already occurring.
I've been buying for 3 weeks. So far, I've found what I need with no problem. I bought a sort of plastic bladder/bag that fits in your tub and will keep 75 gallons of water for drinking. $40 online. God be with us all💞

Not enough, it took China over a month to contain the infection, using draconian methods. For S Korea, it should take at least a month, if you are being extremely optimistic.
Health officials here in Spain are saying this is much less serious than the flu. So no worries. I do not believe them. I've never seen a town surrounded by armed police and civil guard for a flu outbreak. I've been quietly preparing for the past month and feel pretty confident. Convincing my teenaged sons that this needs to be taken a bit seriously is another matter. (wash your hands! don't touch your face!) Thank you for all the great information and clear thinking.
This is what I have been saying for weeks. Look at the actions of the governments, and don't listen to their words. The actions are pretty drastic, while saying there is no problem.
We live in Sydney and are in self quarantine at home after returning from China on the 17th of Feb. We know of 5 other people doing the same. There were 40 people on our flight back. We were all told to stay home for 14 days. That does not mean that we are infected. I`m certain that we are not. It`s just as a precaution.

I just took my mom for a checkup with her doctor in michigan. I asked what type of protocols their office has in place. Nothing currently. I asked if they have any testing kits...none. But the doctor said that 15,000 people have died from the flu in the US. So it's a bad news and a perspective thing so far. The thing we agreed on is that the dems and reps have to stop this bickering and become adults and prep our country. I hope that the current protocols in place will work til the weather gets warmer. We're all in this together...dems work with the reps and get serious about this please.

It really is bizarre the way he's acting
The impact on our lives is going to massive even if it’s “under control” in a month. Supply chains are broken. Bad. The drastic drop in world trade will result in an economic crisis none of us have ever experienced.

Unfortunately, two serious world shattering events happening simultaneously would magnify their respective problems synergistically. Ugh. Very depressing. I don’t want the Boogaloo!!!

Good evening, In Germany people are currently celebrating carnival and now the first cases from one of the cities where very large gatherings of people happen during this time started to appear. The German health minister is still not taking this serious and nothing is done to prevent this virus from spreading. I am living in Germany and all you hear in the radio or the tv are people trying to downplay this outbreak which seems to work out as they intended because the majority of the German citizens are NOT aware of the fast transmission, the high rate of severe cases and especially the high mortality for elderly people. Sir, I fear that within the next two weeks we will see a massive increase of numbers of covid19 infections in Germany.
Wutlatte same in switzerland! public transport connections are very tight. i already refused to go near carnival towns a week ago. also northern italy connects to the western alp region with thousands of tourists traveling all around, skiing, visiting narrow benched ski hut restaurants and apres ski. for now i‘m waiting what my birthday will be like in two weeks.. 🙃
Wait, what? Covid19 is all over the news in Germany at the moment. And the health minister Jens Spahn made a statement today saying that "Germany is at the beginning of a coronavirus epidemic" Germany is very well-prepared and is taking the whole situation very seriously.
And the infected had hospital treatments at the university hospital in addition to visiting the carnival last week.the virus could have been spread to the doctors and patients, as well as the near by mensa frequented by the students in the hospital. I live like two blocks away from that area and am now worried about visiting older relatives if I might carry the virus without showing symptoms
I live in Ireland and kids from secondary schools often go to northern italy for a school trip - no different now. So many kids have come back from north italy this month and nothing is being done to isolate them. They were just told to ring their gp if they get a fever... but by then they could spread it to so many people! I am absolutely appauled and scared.

China has stopped releasing the number of new cases. Given that they've reduced restrictions to get people back to work, I fear this set to explode (keep an eye on Beijing). It's now rising throughout the world and it's only a matter of time until it comes to a city/ town near you. I have suspected a mutation in the strain devastating Iran, but it's still a little too early to say. I watch the stock market more than the news (it is the ultimate barometer), and there was a huge drop earlier this week (Most exchanges dropped 3% on both Monday & Tuesday - a very big deal!), but now things seem A-OK (it appears people actually believe the WHO/ CCP). I do believe the market(s) and metals are being manipulated (in fact I have bet on it), I've never seen to them to stick to price points so aggressively, huge sums of money are being injected. Plus, bankers do have a certain arrogance and believe that everything is under control, such naivety... The above is just my mind's interpretation of the current situation.
s have been are being exerted on those with influence of the markets. Which tells you how horrified they really are.. Sounds pretty solid assessment to me. I also tend tp look for the peripheral barometers against the claims and their veracity. And I think controls nearly as tight and draconian as
Iran could just simply be not testing and therefor underreporting. Dead people are hard to ignore, but 100 people feeling a little under the weather for a week or so go unnoticed. If Iran actually has ~800 cases, 13 deaths is consistent. They claim 95 cases. There too little data to jump to the "mutation" conclusion.
An additional source of concern for the USA: lack of cooperation from citizens who are a) more concerned about their 'civil rights' b) think the whole thing is a conspiracy or c) think there is no such thing as SARS-CoV-2. How many USA citizens would put up with the level of societal control being practiced by the countries that are trying to get on top of this: whole cities essentially shut down by the government, government employees testing your temperature at points of entry/exit and detaining you to be quarantined or isolated, the government prohibiting travel into or out of some areas. I have seen people, on line, seriously pissed off at the thought that this might inconvenience their travel plans (for example, threatening to sue cruise lines for trip cancellations though, so far as I know, this hasn't happened yet and, as far as I am concerned, might be a damn good idea).
Anthony Hewetson as long as they don’t force quarantine me , I’m fine I told my husband if I become infected I will stay in my car until I get better not going to a Hospital to get worse or infect others
Anthony Hewetson isn’t it awful. I read about a Chinese America in Cali that was in Corentine along with her eight-year-old. She did not like it. So decided to call the media. To let the world know that she was unhappy with her situation. That it was boring and her kid was bored and unhappy. How selfish of them.
The majority of them know nothing about SARS-CoV-2. You know it is "just the flu"! (sarcasm) Another major concern for USA is their weakened immune systems and the major diseases that are wide spread though the population from the young to the old. I wonder how long it will be to hit them that it may be a lot more serious than the flu. Probably sorry to say when family members start dying because there aren't enough ventilators.

What about the statistics of people who have “survived” the virus, NOW being retested as possibly still contagious ? We can only imagine the long term health affects on the organs of the body IF you survive it to begin with 🙏🏻
Kathy H I’ve said the same thing. There’s gain of function-it’s manmade. Look into Dr. Francis Boyle’s work. He exposes all of this. We have no clue as to the long term health risks associated with this.
We got some information from Hong Kong University professor saying they have been studying cases in HK, from the first 29 cases, the viral count is extremely high inside a recovered patient, that is reason why not many can be release from hospital for long period. They are not sure how long this high viral count will remain or can they still infect other. Seriously bad news, so best to avoid getting this, as it seems to be no end to actual clear once infected.
Singapore 91 cases, 58 recovered; Malaysia 22 cases, 18 recovered; Australia 16 confirmed, 13 recovered. This would be great if we could get Dr Campbell to interview these people or the doctors involved to see how fully these people have recovered.
@@jccheng019 I wonder if this abnormally high viral count after recovery was the reason behind a possible leak out of the Wuhan bio weapons lab. I wouldn't put it past the Chinese to test on humans. I really need to know how bad things are in Xinjuang. I think that is Iran 1.0.
Don’t want to panic anyone, the people watching this video are well aware of the situation. Do go get some storable food, toilet paper and an antiseptic surface cleaner. Numbers do not accurately represent the spread. Northern Italy has tested 10,000+ people, while France, Germany, and other countries have only tested a few hundred ppl. US has a population of over 300 million, but they've only done about 500 tests total. That's insane. Same with France and Germany. You have to compare number of tests to the total confirmed cases to get an accurate representation of the spread.
Is anyone else looking at the remainder of the ratio of recovered to total known? Of the 81,005 accumulated confirmed cases only 30,257 are able to return to work and normal activities. Looking at it another way - the majority of those who fall ill will not be coming back to work anytime soon, and some of them, never. Global recession here we come :(

Respectfully, if we’ve learned anything from this outbreak, it is that the WHO is inadequate to manage these kinds of outbreaks.
Jeff Smith WHO is useless, as the UN. A weak director for political reasons.
Masks cost 13 cents in bulk, for the money they've been given they should have stockpiled 10 billion of them.
The world as a whole is inadequate to manage these kinds of outbreaks. Bill Gates tried to warn us in 2015.

CDC officials had a forum on February 19 at University of Washington, where they admit they didn't test enough because they're afraid of false-positive on their test-kit, but they don't specify if this is China's test-kit or locally made test-kit, so they are only testing people with the test-kit only if they had obvious symptom.

Dr. John, I wish my country of Canada had taken this nearly as seriously as the collective "we" have. No one's listening. I've been nursing a very long time and this virus scares me.
Nursing affects immunity?
If you're going to say there is a linear relationship you better back it up. Where are the stats?
Don't you think that this may be completely backwards? Countries where the virus is known to spread in the community test more. This surely is a very significant factor. And the relationship between confirmed cases and number of tests done is nowhere near linear.
UK: 7,132 concluded tests, of which 13 positive (0.2% positivity rate). [source]
Italy: 9,462 tests, of which 383 positive (4.0% positivity rate), awaiting results: unknown. [source]
France: 762 tests, of which 17 positive (2.2% positivity rate), 179 awaiting results. [source]
Austria: 321 tests, of which 2 positive (0.6% positivity rate), awaiting results: unknown. [source]
From this website: www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
If the relationship is linear, the positivity rate is constant.

We are totally being lied to in the US, just like China has been lying. We have many more cases than what's being reported, while they are trying to stop panic more and more people are getting sick and passing it around. Time to start thinking about hunkering down.

You just need a plan that you can stick to.
People seem to wait until it’s too late

Good evening,
In Germany people are currently celebrating carnival and now the first cases from one of the cities where very large gatherings of people happen during this time started to appear.
Wutlatte the same is happening in Switzerland

China has stopped releasing the number of new cases. Given that they've reduced restrictions to get people back to work, I fear this set to explode (keep an eye on Beijing). It's now rising throughout the world and it's only a matter of time until it comes to a city/ town near you.

And people won't even be able to get true information out as they are blocking VPNs...

If this was really the case then why didn't it spread from Prato which is the hub of chinese labourers?
Is anyone else looking at the remainder of the ratio of recovered to total known? Of the 81,005 accumulated confirmed cases only 30,257 are able to return to work and normal activities.
