I remember hearing Georgy Noory, George Knapp or whoever was hosting Coast To Coast AM doing the World War Z story with the author like the Orson Welles War Of The Worlds thing, acting like they were reporting actual events, long before the movie came out. I've never watched the movie.
I was really hoping they'd announce the rest of the Child's Play series but I wasn't expecting it so soon! I just wish they had a bundle of just the 4ks without any bonus stuff because I've run out of room for extra slipcovers, posters, pins, etc. The problem with collecting is eventually you run out of space!
You are not kidding! Especially now that I'm going through things I am coming across stuff that came with some releases in a bundle and I'm like, "Why did I get that bundle?" lol

@@RichardDiaz We are in the same boat I use “Pay in 4” every time I get close to paying off the last payment. Here come the new releases 😂 Strange but I’ve been noticing I’m just upgrading. Do they still make New original movies anymore? I’ve got like 10 different copies of Phenomena/Creepers. I don’t even know why 😂
These are some solid releases for sure. I’m definitely a solid child’s play fan, I saw it new when it came out in the 80s, really enjoyed the first one and the second. I remember being lukewarm on the third and I never bothered watching any of the others except for the new version from I think it was 2019? I’ll have to watch them sometime. definitely would like to have a 4K copy of the first couple but I’ll wait for a sale. Crazy story I have never seen The Burning but it’s on my must watch list.
That one is in a weird place since it was distributed by 20th Century Fox so I don't know if they still have distribution rights. If they do then technically they would also be under the Disney banner. A lot of 20th Century Fox titles are tied up right now.

The Burning is one of my favorite slashers! Savini's f/x are gruesome! "A fuckin' Big Mac overdone!" Jason Alexander steals the show & Glazer is one of the best cinematic bullies of all time! This goes back my to 80's vhs glory days!

July has SO MANY movies I want in 4K and Team America on Blu-Ray, I can't wait. I have only ever seen the unrated version of World War Z and I thought it was quite good, maybe the people who don't like it have only seen the theatrical cut.
I can only imagine what might be coming in August and September. I don't even want to think about October yet. Haha Not that I'm complaining! Just need to find a second or maybe third job to cover it. lol I don't remember that much about the differences between the theatrical cut and the unrated cut for World War Z. It has been a few years since I've seen it. I do hope this new release has both cuts.

Upgrade is a very good action sci-fi movie, I know it was done in 2K so I wonder If this will be an entirely new scan or upscaled to 4K. The Burning if done right we'll look awesome in 4K. Will probably wait for a sale on the Chucky movies.
I need to see Upgrade. I've heard from a few people like you that have told me it's worth checking out. As far as being finished in 2K it can depend. If they have access to the original 2K files (I assume it was shot digitally) then those are massive. You can't think of 2K Raw files in the same way as a 2K file for a Blu-ray for example. A 2K raw file, or even a 2K master file, downconverted to 4K UHD would still be amazing. But if they can go back to the original files and do a full 4K remaster then that would be awesome. I am so excited for The Burning! That was the big one for me from these announcements.

The Burning in 4K is such a long time coming i’m a bit surprised it’s getting a UHD release due to the film being a Miramax Film (Only care about Curse & Cult of Chucky but, since both films were done so cheaply not sure if you’ll get much out of a 4K scan of both?
I think luckily for The Burning since it was produced by Miramax I believe MGM owns the film and not Miramax which is why Scream has it. Otherwise I'm not sure who would own it since it looks like the MIramax and Dimension libraries are split up. I think Paramount owns most of it but then Lionsgate has some movies too. It's so confusing. lol
I hope they don’t screw up Chucky like all their other 4K’s and actually put the unrated cuts on the 4K disc! Or they are just working on becoming irrelevant
