There is actually a Theory that the daemonization of the Traitors blocked their full potential aka being powerful warp beings stronger than Greater Daemons in their own right.
In Daemonology a daemon comments that Mortarion was a natural and had an insane potential. Since while even just a beginner he was able to shackle a greater warp entity. But he was doomed from birth by nurgle who meddled with his fate from the start and his bitterness towards the witch stopped him from potentially being as strong a psyker as Magnus. If not for the grandfathers meddling they probably would have been great friends rather than mortal enemies.
I think the truth lies in who has control. Lorgar has gained his powers from the Chaos Gods, thus are limited intentionally and somewhat passively as well. They don't want another Horus or another rival so they only give him so much. Corax's powers come from his own soul and those the chaos gods have damned. Betrayal and fury, vengeance and shadow - corax is in someway I'd argue fed by it all. He says it himself "I am vengeance incarnate, I am justice delivered." He is not bound by any will or force except his own. That I think is what separates them, corax can achieve entirely different levels of power compared to Lorgar. And as they say, fear a man who had nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Particularly I like version of this theory that the primarchs were made of minor warp gods who had been born of humanity's past religions. Was the whole point they kept them all, because of the small lore bits in them. Corvax has been hunting and killing Word Bearers for a long time. Lorgar has been 'harassed by the shadow of a raven in the warp' for a long time. It has actually weakened him on more than one occasion. The meme is Corvax was circling his tower itself. Yes I leaned into it as it is chuckle worthy. The reality is Corvax has reached the tower MORE THAN ONCE and absolutely gutted Word Bearers while doing so before being forced to leave due to warp shenanigans. GW, and those like you, often forget the original lore in favor of vaguely worded modern books written by people who aren't even aware of the original lore. Which is just sad. It is one of the things that allowed Corvax to keep popping up in the lore. The fact he never lets the Word Bearers get comfortable. That he has actually been ACTIVE this whole time on a one man crusade. Also it was the original reason for Word Bearers being smaller in number than most of the other chaos factions (with Thousand Sons being the smallest of course) and WHY so many of them joined the Chaos Undivided as it offered protection from Corax! If someone wants to add or correct something, the comments are open.

Offhand, no I don't know the magazine issue number. This was just some of the random OG lore I remember. Mostly because it was about a primarch I just rarely heard anything about...Corvax does not get enough screen time.
I kind of love that this is a fight between a loyalist essential daemon primarch, and a traitor daemon primach.
The last time I was that early, I overheard the IV, the VIII, XVII and the XX planning on going Traitor on Isstvan V's space.
And you never thought to tell anyone?
@@morgant.dulaman8733 Well, things were heated back there. I thought I may have misheard the comms. It was not until steel fell from the skies that I noticed my mistake.
@@fernandobraga8455 Speaking as a Night Lord, I find that...disappointing somehow. I mean, I'm glad it worked out as well as it did for us but...dang man, you just justified the inquisition and commissariat's "a plea for ignorance is guilty of wasting my time" stance in a single sentence.
@morgant.dulaman8733 As one should. Innocence does not exist, only varying degrees of guilt. And you Night Lord, are guilty of wasting the breath your Holy Emperor allowed you by stating the redundant... Oh, and also turning traitor. I pronounce you a heretic and you shall be dealt with accordingly.
*BLAM!*
@@seath8055 ...You do realize what happened to the last guy who tried to blam his way through a Night Lord's helmet, right?
I do approve of the no innocence line though. Glad to see the original attitude of the legion is carried on in the Inquisition, Arbites, and Commissariat.
Wauw... I'm 7 months late to this but holy hell this is straight fire 🔥 🔥 🔥
New response just dropped
3:53: The lyircs, the vocals, the music at this point make me feel like tearing up...
Can't decide if I would've liked a second verse like this right behind that part more or less.
Absolutely love this song, the shift from the more human voices to the demonic screech at the end is a great effect, and the song writing is on point. Probably my favorite song of yours in a while.
Another one added to the playlist
I am was underwhelmed when first listened to it, but it's growing me.
Is it weird that i imagine the first half about this two to be in a play tts version and the second half is just them ripping their guitars against each other XD
This goes so hard, and I love it!
Please put on spotify soon, this goes to hard for me to wait
This is one of the songs that would probably grow on me with time.
The waiting has been worth it.
Maybe it's just because I've got used to all your other songs, but this is just SUCH A BANGER!
One day we'll get a Konrad, Angron or Perturabo song.
Angrons will be just a psychopathic screaming
THE BERER OF WORDS AND THE RAVEN LORD, THE PREACHER AND DELIVERANCE, TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN, ONE FOLLOWS THE 4 WHILE ONE REMAINS LOYAL TO A CORPES
It gets better every time it is the stringstorm effect and also I love this battle in lore :)
The part where they show their demonic voices was epic
Lorgar's choir boy voice is so fitting holy shit.
Even though I found out the story that's talked about here only a little ago (am new to WH40K), this song always hits me emotionally, thanks
sickest religions debate I've ever heard
Well, I waited two days for my hype to die off. Boy, I was not ready for the last 30 seconds. Bravo.
THIS WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT AWESOME JOB
New song, let's go!!!
Was Emperor a roting corpse already?
Love the voices
This is just amazing
This needs to be on spotify ASAP
I believe the primachs would become as powerful as their father. (Though it depends what effects them before reaching certain points) corax who I assume is just a giant mass of crows or massive stable crow humanoid creature ripping through traitor astartes and daemons alike just to find lorgar
Impressive, very nice
You honestly make the coolest shit ever. Thank you for doing all of this
I Like Both voices, but damn, lorgar Sounds just Perfect
I did not exept new song from stringstorm, and I was happyly supprised, Time to listen to fight between Lagar and Corvus corax until I canot herar it anymore :) (Also fun fact: Corvus corax in Latin maens common rraven, and Rogal in polish means Crossaint)
When it finally goes down in Canon, it better be a hell of a fight.
This songs lorgar was amazing. It really managed to capture this unquestoning and you could almost say pure religious fervor that is his motivatio.
Let's fucking goooooo!!!!!!
Omg im literally in tears i fuckin love thai so much
Another absolute banger of a piece congrats
Song was great, then the last part hit and it became fucking amazing! Awesome job!

Rylanors last stand.
Corvus Corax vs Lorgar Aurelian in a nutshell.
Great job as always!
Good song, put it on Spotify
Corvus : LORGAR GET YOUR HOLLY ASS BACK HERE I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU
I love that in this, lorgae has the same confidence throughout the fight but in the book he literally has to limp to safety after his sons save because corax almost killed him.
Lorgar is more than he was then- but of course, so is Corax.
I WOULD HAVE CALLED YOU BROTHER DURING BRIGHTER DAYS !!!
Oh this is fantastic!
in end logar blessed by the four will stand before the raven.... never more
Because he is nothing more then a whining choir boy who arse needs a good spanking.
Commenting for the algorithm you should to!
Man this goes hard!
Brother Storm has a ability to male rock operas
I both like and dislike the screaming at the end, on one hand it scared the shit out of me, on the other hand it is really thematically cool ,at it represents them both entering their new forms, lorgar ascending as a demon prince and corvus becoming the crazy raven demon.
Great song !
did corax at the end just go full batmetal ?
So you've returned.
Damn, just DAAAAAAMN
Good music, greetings from Chile
Epic Rap Battles of History
While this is fitting, from a musical standpoint, I'm very let down by Lorgar's voice (not the singer, only how it was directed). The Finale makes up for it tho!
The lyrics are divine, as expected! And Corvus absolutely rocked his lines, as the singer always does!
Being a Word Bearer player from the Heresy, I'm glad we were given flesh through this confrontation. Thank you!
Wake up honey John TTS released another song
this should be filmed as a dance off
Shame this song isn't in Spotify yet, it would be my new most listened song.
Good to see you back, String! Will you consider doing Elder Scrolls lore songs? 🐉
FOR THE EMPERORRRR
who is voicing Lorgar?
Goooooooood
Chefs kiss mmmwwwwaaaahhhh
Do yall have any plans to release this song on Apple Music?
It has finally been complete. Next up Pure Furies.
When will it be on spotify?
