    I've had my 2016 Cruze Premier for 3 weeks now & I watched your video last week. It helped explain things that I hadn't had time to read about in the book yet. I have an iPhone 6 & couldn't figure out why it wouldn't charge for me, now I know thanks to your video. :) Excellent informational video, so glad I found it.

      I had a 2012 Cruze LTZ & loved it, never had a minutes trouble with it. The timing was right for a new one & I bought it in Kinetic Blue. I'm loving all of the changes & the upgrades that it has. Very classy car.

    Great video. I appreciate that you reviewed the car in great detail. I'm very excited to learn that that I can get a manual transmission with the RS package. Glad to see that Chevrolet recognizes a 6-speed manual as a desirable feature and not necessarily a budget-minded/entry level feature.

    I actually love this car. If I was in the market for a smaller car in this price range, I think I would definitely seriously consider this car. I even love this color, I know some people don't like it, but I love the chrome around the windows and in the fascia. also, it has a very attractive interior that looks like it would be in a more expensive car. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the rear, it's just a little unimpressive, and looks like it belongs on a sub-compact. However, I love this car in the hatch version, the exterior is much nicer looking and it actually changes the entire exterior.

    sweet showroom. I picked up the '17 cruze a couple of weeks ago and got the ls manual, at a super price point. it's not at all stripped down as a basic trim would suggest, so I'm happy with my purchase.

    Still have my 2011 Cruze in the Grey that I think they only made so many of due to some problems with paint supply? Anyways has 72k miles and still going strong.

      +BackHand Snipe Thanks for the suggestion! We own a 2011 LTZ RS :) the new car is definitely an upgrade but lacks some options of the competitors for sure and Im not so sure I like the styling... The back is just pretty ugly IMO.

    I like the simplicity of the LT more than the RS. Looks badass in black since there is trim around the windows (side windows anyway) This car will sell very well. Hope they decide to make a coupe . Good job showing the features. Too much technology is freaking me out though.

    Great review. Very detailed. It would have been nice to see the chevy mylink system in action along with hearing the new bose speakers.
    I currently own a fully loaded 2015 LTZ RS which I bought brand new which now with only 8,100 miles on it has given more problems than I care for. It's a shame to spend just south of $30,000 on my Cruze and have the type of issues as if I only spent half that. I would consider trading it in for a Premier RS but I'd only get half of the premier's MSRP, so I guess I'm stuck.
    I do like the looks of the premier RS, but like you, I feel the back end is ugly and it seems already behind in tech and safety features of other compact sedans in the segment. Besides its really overpriced.

    hi justin kelly, excellent and detailed review of the new cruze. presently i am awaiting my rs cruze fully loaded, 18" wheel vehicle to be made. when it was ordered i wanted the color red hot, but it was stated in the cruze brochure that at this trim level red hot was not a color option....so we selected siren red. I NOTICED in the video that the car you review is RED HOT. how is that and was this color available all along but the dealer unaware to inform me of this possible color option? i would really like to know. i cannot wait to get my new car and thanks again for a wonderful review. robert in philadelphia.

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  8 лет назад

      Thanks for watching! Unfortunately a brochure was not available at the time but I quickly looked online and found one. I couldn't find anything that suggested the Red Hot is not available on your car. Says not available on L trims which is the most basic you can get. I would most definitely contact your dealer to find out why you couldn't get it made like you wanted!

    • @robertskeets5123
      @robertskeets5123 8 лет назад

      +Justin Kelly dam, it is already ordered as of a week ago tuesday. maybe it is not available in red hot because we ordered the kalahari leather interior. i believe that is where i saw in the brochure the little number that said it was not available in the red hot along with some of the blue colors. so i believe i stand corrected, but can you confirm this as well. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY CHEVY WOULD CARE ABOUT THE COLOR OF THE CAR REGARDLESS OF THE LEATHER PACKAGE INSTALLED. its just exterior paint. The red hot on the chevy is bold and it is hot as well. the siren red is a bit more conservative and better suited for my age group of 50+ the salesman said. i agree the siren red does fit our conservative lifestyle, but there is still that young guy in me that loves speed and that red hot has speed written all over it. imo, chevy has nailed a car that appeals to all age groups from late 20's to me and my wife in out 50's. it is well appointed car with a ton a great features with all the bells and whistles while still allowing us to put food on the table and pay the mortgage! i can not wait to enjoy my new car.

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  8 лет назад

      +Robert Skeets Yes just tried to build one and that is indeed the reason. Some manufactures let you build it how you want others not so much. While I don't have anything against this car it just doesn't have ALL the bells and whistles like the other competitors. For instance the Premier doesn't even have the option for HID headlights or adaptive cruise control like the Hyundai Elantra. The Elantra also has some other nice but not must have features like the smart trunk where it pops open just by standing behind it also found on our Genesis. Overall this is a nice car and probably the more sporty out of them but with the new Elantra Sport just unveiled with over 200hp and an optional manual transmission that may be the car to spring for if your in your 20s and 30s and in the market for this size car.

      +Justin Kelly hi justin, we have a 3 year lease on the cruze. this is my first lease. i wanted to give chevy and the american car market another opportunity. i own three mazda's (a p-5, and two proteges) and love them as well as they are super fun to drive. i really enjoy indy car racing and the chevy engine is so much more stronger then the honda and i will be stunned if honda can even compete on even grounds with the chevy later this month at indy, so with that technology chevy puts into indy engines, i figured that same drive and technology will feed into their family cars. anyway, i really love the rs package.

    Image looks great, but a lot of focus issues that should have been resolved when it was filmed and if you're paying someone to make this for you, get someone to provide a wireless lav mic so you can get better audio!

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  8 лет назад

      +Jacob Leander I totally agree. Almost everything I film is on a Sony RX100m2 so my audio options are limited. (Its doesn't sound bad for a camera mic though) I think the RX100 series has always had a slow focus time. I would love to upgrade to the RX100m4 or even a DSLR but that cost a significant amount of money that I don't have now so I make due with what I have! Thanks for watching though!

  • @Springbok314

    I am a fan of the 1st gen Cruze. The 2nd gen looks very nice, wish they had taken it on the road. Best factoid of this story is that all mannys will have the RS package. Cannot yet find a manny at any local dealer in my area; also waiting to see the hatch in person when it comes out later this year.

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  8 лет назад

      I agree the first gen is very nice to look at but the second gen is just eh in my opinion. We have yet to get a manual in any trim. The hatch I cant wait to see either but I believe its a 2017 model.

    • @Springbok314
      @Springbok314 8 лет назад

      Recently picked up a Ltd. LTZ/RS. I really think the 1st Gen is evocative of the e39 BMW, and GM must have studied those models in building the car they had to produce after the bailout.

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  8 лет назад

      RJ Mac Last of the 1st gens huh? I like any before 2015 as I'm not huge on the front end LEDs added as a "refresh" I guess. I have started seeing manual LT's in the 2nd gen that do indeed come with the RS package.

    • @Springbok314
      @Springbok314 8 лет назад

      All the higher end new cars have the HID style DRLs. They do help when you need to be seen at a distance. That said, maybe the refresh adding them to the 1st Gen was chunky, but I can live with it. The start/stop engine cutoff was a deal breaker for me and I don't like the look of the 2nd Gen; it looks like the offspring of a Malibu/new Volt coupling.

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  8 лет назад

      +Armando Salazar Thanks! I believe its similar to the current 9 speaker system in the current Cruze where two rear speakers behind the rear seats provide most the bass. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet.

    Has anyone ordered & received one of these with other than black interior? 99% of the Cruise HB's on here also have black int. Cars in White, Black, (Red) Silver & Gray each have 3 interior colors available. Is this a Factory issue? I don't understand it?

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  7 лет назад

      Yes we have had a Black Premier with the Kalahari interior and I liked it, it was different but looked great on Black. Now with that being said you are right most come black which is too bad. We only have one on the lot without a black interior. I think it may just be everyone's decision to put black in everything as it is very popular but if you don't want black you may be out of luck. www.eriksens.com/VehicleDetails/new-2016-Chevrolet-Cruze-Sedan_LT_%28Automatic%29-Milan-IL/2793199493
