    Thank you for the very nice review. I just bought this monitor and I gotta say the 25 inch size is very nice, not too big and not too small its just right for my use. Although I wish it had a higher refresh rate I still enjoy it for the color accuracy , great 1440p resolution, brightness and above all the fact that it has a UBC 90 Watt power supply is just amazing. And for anyone wondering about eye strain, It took me a day or two for my eyes to get used to the screen but after a bit of adjustment its all well and good now.

    Tack för bra video! :)
    My work laptop has USB-C video out. My home gaming laptop has only HDMI out. Is it possible for me to have the monitor as an KVM (USB) switch so I can have my mouse, headset and keyboard constantly connected to the monitor and somehow switch between my computers without having to switch the USB-devices? In that case, I guess all data goes via USB-C from my work laptop, and no data through HDMI from my gaming laptop? But.. then I guess I'll need some USB "upflow" connection in the monitor from my gaming laptop? Do you think it will work? I know Dell has monitors with built-in KVM, but I don't see any point with the USBs on U2520D if you can't use them the way I want to do

    Great video, thanks for the review. I jut purchased this monitor for my wife, hoping it was an upgrade from her Macbook Pro for photo editing. The color varies greatly when comparing them side by side... The Dell U2520D has much more red tones and looks "off" compared to the Macbook. A little disappointed tbh and wondered if anyone else has experienced the same? It would change the way she edits her photos and we don't want to use the Dell as her standard, then it turns out weird on other people's monitors...
    Thanks in advance for any advice!

    • @w2best
      @w2best  3 года назад

      Interesting comment! I was testing the macbook air 2020 and I experienced some color issues, but that was 100% due to the macbook and it's adjusting of colours based of the lighting situations. I would switch that off at alla times. No monitor will be exactly the same but this guy has a very high colour accuracy so I'd say you can trust the photo editing in it.

    2k at only 25 inches should be great in terms of ppi, right? Font rendering clarity should be close to modern mobile phones, right? Do you know how many ppi? I wish it was native 10-bit with 1.07 billion colours. Perfection. 1440p is for 27 inches top, but the greatest of all is 27 inches at 2160p. At least 75 Hertz and in case there's such monitor at around ~300€ would be pure joy, although you would need an extreme GPU, a 3060Ti at least.

    Thank you for this! I have been going back and forth between ordering this Dell U2520D monitor and the Dell U2421HE (which acts as a hub). I ALMOST paid for the 24 inch screen yesterday afternoon, but had to come back to this 25 inch screen. With boxing day sales and additional discounts there is only a $50 difference between the two monitors. Also, watching your video encouraged me to go back to discover that the 24 inch screen only has 1 USB-C port. Mind you, the only device that I own right now that uses USB-C is my Dell XPS 15 which just arrived, but I suspect that it is a good idea to prepare for future technology enhancements. AND yes, if I can avoid purchasing a dock station, that is another bonus....not just because I would be saving money, but a docking station takes up valuable real estate.

      If you can compromise getting bit smaller monitor, then the U2520D is a better choice. I was between i) S3220DGF ii) P2720DC and iii) U2520D (which I received today actually). The S3220DGF (32") is quite impressive monitor, I have seen it when visited a shop and spent two hours in front of the screen. However, the size matters for my home office set up. Then I had for almost two weeks the P2720DC in my "basket" untill I finally changed my mind and went for the smaller U2520D due to better pixel density (117 ppi vs 109 ppi) and 90W charing vs 65W (P2720DC). The stand of the monitor is also smaller and saves space (also in case of VESA mounting). btb, I have a question related to this monitor. I have two of these Dell 2520D monitors, which work perfectly over USB-c to my work Macbook pro. when I try to use my desktop(windows 10 with a graphics card etc) which is connected to one of the monitor through HDMI(works fine). If I want to use the second one through daisy-chaining(MST), for some strange reason, under the display menu I can see MST as greyed out(disabled) on my first monitor, and my second monitor is showing "No DP signal from your device". I have used a DP cable from primary monitor(out) and it is going into display port(in) of the secondary monitor. Any idea why this setup is not working? Any help will be super appreciated! Thanks!

      This might happen due to the scaling, This has a unusual PPi (117), its not the recommended level for non retina displays, So the texts shows really small and have to scale up to see things better and because of the scaling text become not sharp and pixelated, If you work in text related work this monitor is not good and 27inch 1440P will be the ideal solution, This happens due to mac os and if you use windows i noticed text looked fine even you scaled to 125%, This review doesn’t talk about mac os, so consider the things i mentioned before buy this, i had to do further research and had to leave this monitor due to this scaling issue

      @@w2best Great review ! One of the best in depth monitor reviews i have ever seen, but can you do a follow up video with Mac OS use case, coz i think there is no problem with 125% scaling in windows images and texts looks sharp without pixelation, But in mac OS original 1440P resolution in unusable in 25 inch screen due to texts looks really small, So to fix this have to use scaling, So when scaling is done texts become pixelated/blurry and hard to read, i think screen-size, also plays a part in this and 27 inch QHD screen will be ideal for a mac user since it has a 108 PPI which is close to recommended 110ppi for non retina display.There is more in this article and will be helpful to a Mac user. bjango.com/articles/macexternaldisplays/
