- I've seen and heard a lot about audio over CAT5, however most people with these just sit at their desk and talk about them. I really felt the need for a practical and in use video so I decided to create this one. As always, this is a real and in the field test with Sound Tools Cat Box, Cat Tails, and Super Cat cables. Thank you Dave Rat and team over at Sound Tools for this amazing concept. My favorite is the Super Cat cable because of its durability compared to most CAT5 cables, which are very stiff. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe.

Very nice! Reduced cabling, less trouble shooting, quicker setup and faster tear down. Flexible is endless 👍🏻
Right on bro. That was the goal… faster set up and break down! This concept also applies to DMX.
Great setup, G Fire! Glad that SoundTools makes your setup clean and tidy and sounding great. Thanks for using SoundTools!
You're more than welcome and thank you for the innovation. There will be more videos.
Excellent video, you have given me some ideas. Thanks!!
@@djshocase4577 thanks for watching my friend and I’m glad to be an inspiration to you. Keep the party rocking.!
Cool. You are on a higher level my brother. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you brother. Thanks for watching also!!!
Thanks for the video. I always use this system. It reduce time and cable. I also use it for dmx with female to female cable. I also use a flat 150’ cat 5/6. For long distance fill speakers.
@@kertinaproduction5486 that’s awesome and encouraging Kertina. I’m a fan of innovation.
Man love your video thanks for sharing 👍
@@evensbeatz637 thanks bro. This is a game changer for sure.
Excellent video, never knew about CAT tails, I use Siamese cables to reduce how many cables I use, basically the same idea only that you have 2 extra outputs at the speakers, good video as always, keep up the good work brother
@@sergiofernandez8500 Thank you bro. This system is a real time saver for me. I’m already exploring other applications for it.
Killeen Civic Center....been there many times when I DJed out of Waco. Nice setup!
Make It Kount in the place to be!!! Thanks for watching bro.
All of the Sound Tools products used are listed in the video description section.
Nice. Would of put the subs on the floor better low end and easier to eq. And are u running the sub via aux or separate sub out.
@@FeedbackEntertainment Thanks for your input. I wanted the height so I put the whole stack on the stage. I’m running subs on M/C center.
Can a cat tail male box be used to connect 2 mixing board together either by main right/left out or mono out by mic cables to connect to one mic channel line on another mixing board or can I just connect main mono out of mixing board directly into mic/line of the 2nd mixing board?
Hello my friend that's a great question and I don't think you need a cat tales to connect to mix us together. What time I had a gig where I only had a Behringer XR 18 but needed more channels, so I also bought my Yamaha MG16. Anyways, I use the Yamaha mixer for the drums only since it had like eight XLR inputs, and then came out of that mixer into a DI box left and right and connected it to two channels on the Behringer XR 18. I didn't pan those channels left and right. The rest of the band simply were hooked into the Behringer XR 18 inputs. So once I got my drum set good on the Yamaha mixer, which is analog, in the Behringer XR 18 it pretty much was mixed as a whole kit kind of like a whole drum machine. I hope this helps you, but I really don't think you need a cat tails for what you're trying to accomplish. We are asked what to mixing consuls are you looking to connect to each other?
I got all the pieces to build a kraken but my wire management is no where near as clean as yours
@@DjMilliano it took me several tries but you got this bro. We all start somewhere and improve as we go. Take your time bro. I know you can do it.
Pardon my dumb question, may I ask does DMX work with this item as well?…🤔
Absolutely. That video is coming also!!!
All I need is the answer to one question: Does it sound like a wire!!!??? Try reading the manual for a RANE compressor sometime for amusement, although few of them still exist. The RANE manual explains it in a way that none of can improve upon.
@@morleychallenged although wires come in different quality and gages, it sounded great to me. Maybe I should do a comparison of sound tools vs a traditional XLR cable. I’ll check out the Rane Compressor manual though. Thanks for watching bro.
