The history of porcelain in Jaworzyna Śląska dates back to 1843. It was then that the engineer and entrepreneur Traugott Silber started to build a factory in the small town of Königszelt, which was recently erected along the route of the railway line connecting today's Wrocław and Świebodzice. Porcelain from Lower Silesia quickly gained the recognition of customers. Over the years, the factory changed the owner, and finally, after the second world's cool, eventually become a Polish factory. In 1954, the German name "Königszelt" was changed into Polish - "Karolina". Today, the Jaworzyn plant employs over 500 people and is the second largest porcelain producer in Poland.
