A suggestion - while it's cool you're ranking cards on their absolute power out of 10, it would be nice if you took a stance on if you think they would actually see play in the context of the upcoming meta and if there are enough synergies to make that card in that deck viable. For example, coming from a background in Hearthstone, it is common for streamers to rate cards out of 5, where 5 means the card is meta defining, will see play in almost every deck of that energy, and 1 means the card will not see play whatsoever. Note that this means that there will be some cards that are 1 rating even if they are very powerful on their own, but won't see play because there are not enough synergies to make that deck archetype good. A 2 rating is considered a tech card, 3 rating will see mild success and experimentation, and a 4 rating is a strong staple (all within meta context). I say this because a lot of your rankings are middle of the road, "we'll see what happens". I would like for you to take a more hard-line stance on if a card will be meta, because that will be how we truly assess your radar on the tcg, rather than in a per card vacuum. Take a hard stance and be ok with being wrong! It's more entertaining in retrospect because then you can reflect on where your gaps are in the prediction of the meta. Or maybe a happy medium is an absolute power score, and then a meta relevance score (which takes into account if it will fit into the best deck of that energy as a whole).
Thank you so much for the feedback!!! I think you made some great points - Ill definitely take your advice moving forward! Its one thing to rate a card in a vacuum - its another to evaluate its position in the metagame, you are absolutely right (:
Chatot is easily my new favourite Pokémon since it’s perfect for joke decks which are somewhat practical, which I usually play since I find the best decks too formulaic. You can just run two Chatot’s with one evolution line with fossils or other items to fill the rest of the deck to discard every turn so you can usually draw four extra cards a turn. I’m running this with the new golem and brock which has been surprisingly effective for sweeping on turn 4 with the 30 damage reduction.
I feel like you are underestimating blue. He’s definitely just as useful as Giovanni. In pikachu ex he will stop all the 120 damage cards from 1 shotting pikachu. There will definitely be interactions that make him very meta
I think you might be right! It really comes down to drawing it at the right time. In decks that rely on other supporters, you just don’t have many opportunities to ever play blue. It also takes the spot of professors research and Sabrina and Giovanni for your turn so we will see (:
Hey man nice video, thanks for sharing. I only disagree with your Aerodactyl opinion. How on earth won't that pokemon disrupt every deck except from pikachu? Which by the way is weak against its type? No gardevoir, no serperior, no charizards, and it can do it all from the bench right?
I can't believe I didn't pull a single mew ex or aerodactyl ex from 200 cards. I just want to build a hyper aggressive Blaine deck with the new rapidash with one backup mew ex if the opponent manages to cook up something crazy. And my super cheesy double zapdos ex only deck could really use aerodactyl's ability against dragonite and gardevoir, especially since I already have a fossil in the deck for a pivot anyway.
honestly annoyed, saved 300 hourglasses and just wanted one mew EX. got one gyarados and one pidgeot. endless piles of dupes. bad enough to drop the game for a while 😂
All i have to say is ..... caterpie....celebi....serperior....to fast to strong.....makes pikachu look dumb ... charizard look slow and well i did 450 and 600 damage against a mewtwo deck so yea....caterpie for the win trust me.
What is your favorite card from Mythical Island? What decks will YOU be building? (:

It's important to note that you call some cards that are not ex's "Basic," but they're called Single Prize, to differentiate from Basic Pokemon.
I refer to cards often as both single prize AND basic Pokémon as well :D
I think pokeflute will be used a bunch in pidgeot ex decks. Aside from that I think the celibi serperion combo could be a S tier deck.
@@ensmatter Celebi serperior is looking like a tier 1 deck (:
I went up against a person with Celebi and Serperior. He flipped 16 times and got 12 heads 😭😭😭 wtffff
hahahahahahaha Celebi ex is AWESOME XD
@ it’s too strong 😭😭😭
That may have been me...did 600 damage to some guy was incredible.
@@mikemcnamara4253 hahahaha you'll love my upcoming video (:
@PocketMads lol only thing is now ppl just leave once you have 3+ energies on a celebi so I think the days of big hitters are already gone sadly.
You can't have more than 2 copies of a card with the same name in your deck, so you can't max out on both Raichus
True! You could run 1 of both though (:

Chatot is underrated!!! I think it definitely has its place in the meta (:

Agreed. He also works in the Mewtwo mirror match. He’ll shut down any opposition Mewtwo ex’s from one shot’n your own.
@@wizmattc6383 also, he works pretty well with Polywrath or Druddigon.

yes! Its only the active pokemon though, so they can just retreat and then evolve (:

Same, best I got was a 2 star gyarados, but I managed to wonder pick a Japanese mew ex.
i think its more convenient if you used tiermaker or sth like that
a bit to early for a tiermaker template to be available :D want this video out ASAP
Druddigon pidgeot is meta build
170 HP is best value
@@fwewfe6713 that is crazy talk
@PocketMads sacrifice druddigon put energy only on the second druddigon after that pidgeot and Play 2x flute
