It is a race motor. This is the wrong bike for 99% of riders. The v4r is a track bike not a ride everyday bike. You're better off getting the regular v4 panigale's.

I own a Ducati 939 Supersport and its all the speed I need. I would rather have a slower bike I can ride faster than a fast bike I have to ride slow. on some small canyon twisty roads I enjoy my Ninja 400 more than my 939. my 939 is amazing on the big sweeping turns. and I'm sure on the right road this V4R is next level. but bikes like this Panigale always make you go faster than you should be going. its just in the nature of the bike. and I just don't feel like taking the risks I took when I was younger. but I would surely love to ride it on the track. with all of the protective gear on. does 1st class insurance cover your bike if you ride it on the track ?

I have a 2022 Hayabusa and the engine is very strong down low but loses steam way before redline due to small, Euro 5-compliant cams and throttle bodies.
Under WOT it's super fun but doesn't really feel fast, scary or unsafe. It's just a heavy rush of torque in every gear without much feeling of speed increase.
The sound of those Ducati V4 engines and the way they pull to such a high redline is delicious. I've never ridden one, but even on camera I get a feeling of it being actually scary due to the acceleration not tapering off.
I can tell on video that the speed increase is felt more and more in every gear. 😅

0-60 times are becoming irrelevant with superbikes these days. 0-100 makes more sense as a usable figure. Doesn't help that the speedo doesn't refresh fast enough to get an accurate reading. BMW's cluster is where its at for that kinda thing.
