How has the long term been with this? Been looking at picking one up for a while now and I've been putting it off just because of price, but I think it's time. This may sound like a super minor thing, but I REALLY wish it had the magnetic keeper on the chinstrap like the Bell helmets, instead of the plastic snap...... that's one of the small things that's made it hard to commit to a new helmet lol, little stuff like that.
I still like this helmet but it’s not my main. If you are paying over $1K you should get exactly what you want. You won’t regret protecting your head for any price. But the only major reason for buying this helmet is the all carbon look. Good luck and ride safe BRO
@@BMWBRO yeah, the helmet looks great and it's lightweight, but I kind of miss having the internal sun visor from a helmet I had a couple years ago too. There's an LS2 that's much cheaper, has the visor, and is carbon/lightweight, but I worry about build quality and noise. With as many helmets as there are on the market, it's been surprisingly hard to find a helmet that checks ALL my boxes
I have one! It's Best looking helmet. However, not for the street! It's A RACE HELMET. Rode with it for 12 months on the street. Cold In the winter, hot in the summer. I mentioned this to Miami Ducati guys, they chuckled. He said the helmet was only for track use and 20 + minutes. All the feature are spot on the good, the bad, but drop dead gorges. Shows what I know, I love it, I have 2 LOL.
Does it really bad to use it daily? I did found a 3 years old new old stock Pista GP Essenza VR 46. and it priced more than half less than the original price. Should I go with it? I really freakin love the look of it. Ive own rx7x and x fourteen but sold both of em and now looking for new lid to replace em.
lol, no other helmet matches the looks of a Pista. The side to side and the top of the face shield is a vista. I considered going back to my X14? Nope I love the Pista regardless of its shortcomings on the street.
You've obviously put your noggin into this protection. It is odd they're not using the easier latch. It looks very light too, which is great. Looking forward to seeing you wearing it. Well done!
Nice design and safety features awesome craftsmanship. I'm surprised it doesent have the option to close the vents instead you have to use plugs that would be kinda inconvenient to have those with you just in case.
@@BMWBRO I'd be a big fan of this. I usually ride with no air flow anyways b/c of less allergens getting to me, I'm prone to get bad allergies. My head seems to stay cool enough when I'm riding with the flaps up anyways. So yeah this is a big plus for me, going to have to consider this helmet. I'm rocking the Marc M X14 helmet but I'd like to have a more subtle less identifiable helmet, either matte black or this light weight carbon fiber matte look would be nice. The glossy is just as sick. Please let us know how it rides. Thanks for sharing!
Tremendous looking race helmet and I think it's worth the price with those cool features. Am glad you do think of your safety all the time. Love you bro🇿🇦❤️
I wear the bell race star DLX in matte carbon on the street and the moto 10 in matte carbon on the enduro… only thing on the DLX is it’s loud… don’t skimp on helmets… in July of 14 I broke every bone in my face in a motorcycle wreck… my face basically tried to push through the face shield opening… helmet cracked in half… be safe
@@CORZER0 Nobody got a ticket… Wasn’t anyone else involved in the crash and I managed to get the bike back up with the help of a passerby and road home… Was only about 1 mile from the house… I also broke my right wrist as well and was able to ride with just my left hand cause the throttle would stick wherever you put it… I originally thought I had just busted my mouth and broke my nose… 3 days later I went and got a cat scan and found I broke both orbitals, my nose, and split my pallet down the middle… Ended up having a 6 hr reconstructive surgery where they peeled my face off and put titanium plates…
@@CORZER0 was riding a 5th gear wheelie and my foot slipped off while trying to use the back brake… Due to my foot slipping I looped it and I also whiskey throttled it.. Wish they offered transition lenses like bell does… was thinking about getting the iridium carbon to put a cardo on since I have sena on my bell helmets… don’t really care for wearing sunglasses with a clear lenses and don’t want a tinted and deal with it in the dark… probably get on anyway… No telling with me… lol
Would like to keep it up and ride but there’s no locking notches other than all the way open and that feels like it will close at 60mph. Will keep you posted 👍
@@BMWBRO yeah but I feel enough wind coming in at riding speeds if I just have the visor unlocked. At traffic light it kinda holds at 70% unless I'm shaking my head hahaha
@@BMWBRO honestly not much louder than Arais lol. I always wear Shure foamphones for music/cardo and it makes no difference vs my Arais in the past. I think most people who find this helmet to be loud are people that never wore earplugs in the first place while riding and use the stock in-helmet speakers from sena/cardo
@@bella_testastrettaI’ve got a Shoei and a Pista. If I forget my earplugs wearing the Pista I return home to pick them up. Shoei not so much of an issue…
That’s random. Just bought a Shoei RF-1400. Frankly the Pista looks amazing and is very functional for racing but not the best for everyday riding. Some thoughts: -Accessories like visors are expensive -It’s very loud, especially if motovlogging -No visor positions is awful especially in hot weather. I would welcome feedback from others who have also owned the helmet for a decent period of time and feel the same or differently.

Sell it and buy a cheap new agv a k1 is only 170$
Paying for FIM cert and full carbon. But I checked it out 👍

Easy question to answer, how much value do you have on your head, irregardless of the speed?
100% 👍
I was skeptical at first but I just switched to this from Arai and there's literally 0 wind drag on the highway on my naked bike
