I came here to rewatch the Wyvern fight after beating it just how shocked and amazed I was. That was such an amazing fight, this has to be my favorite Sonic game.
Ok I have to admit I love the true final fight. The boss taunting you and the music slowly taking over as you refuse to fall feels incredible. And it plays well even if it's out of place
The entire game is kind of a love-letter to Radiant Silvergun and ESPECIALLY Ikaruga's themes of throwing a light into the future to grant hope for those that come after you, and I'm all for it. They had a similar kind of effect in the bullet patterns where you're doing the projectile combat version of taking turns slugging eachother in the gut, and all throughout your journey, a single motif slowly lost its prominence before blaring back to life in the end as you strike the final blow.

I finished the game on normal, so imagine my surprise when earlier today I found out the true fight is locked behind Hard mode. Thankfully you can change your difficulty at any time, so I was able to fight the true boss, and I enjoyed it immensely. Sonic Frontiers is the game I didn't know I needed.
Fan Theory: The End isn't gone. Sad as it may be to say, Sage sac'd herself in vain, since The End specifically stated this was merely an "incarnation". The End could in-fact be the Phantom Ruby's "true master". Maybe there's even multiple Phantom Rubies out there as a direct counter to the Chaos Emeralds. It's a long shot, but The End may just be the threat that requires Sonic to achieve Hyper again. The raw power of The End Vs. The Master Emerald, the latter being merely hinted at in this game... They're building up to something huge here, I can feel it.
Yeah by far my favorite boss fights (except supreme). The raw energy in each fight really gave me a dopamine boost. Seeing super sonic unrelentingly bash his opponent and fighting with all he’s got, actually seeing the struggle and seriousness in his expressions, that energy of super sonic of all people showing no mercy is something I now live for.
He originally made Sage as a basic assistant AI for his schemes, but after interfacing with Starfall Islands' Cyber Space, all the experiences and ideas inside it caused her to act independent of his orders to PROTECT him rather than hurt him. Eggman realizes what's happened, has an entire internal crisis over this, but eventually starts taking pride in creating an AI so advanced that she was able to take over the entire system AND give Sonic the run-around. He just up and decides that she's his daughter, and is willing to accept Orbot and Cubot as sons by that same token after she shows interest in meeting them. On top of all that, he's been frequently written as considering Metal Sonic to be less of a dangerous, silent machine that's betrayed and disobeyed him, and more of a bratty but very promising teenaged son that had a dark phase.
Just finished the game on hard blind and didn't even know that The End was a secret boss. As much as I feel empty or disappointed due to the fact that final bosses involving Super Sonic usually have some kind of banger track at the last fight, I understand completely due to the tone that the story was going with. The ending was really beautiful regardless. Loved the game, but the final fight just seemed to disappoint me.
Now this might just be a me thing but near the end of the “the end” boss the music for it just sorta stops then turns into this soft melody idk I just feel like final bosses always have these banger tracks that immerse in the action but the moment the music just stops I find myself dissatisfied (but this is probably just a me problem)

The End was the hardest boss of all. I mean, I defeated him once, but seriously, The End is so hard, that playing the full game Sonic 06 was like a child play (easier than The End).
Why does the animation in the cutscenes for this game feel like they were made with models from Gmod or something? There's just something about the way they move that makes it feel... stiff?
Sonic games have always had this problem with the exception of Rise of Lyric. Yeah, the disaster that was Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric had the best cutscenes in any of the Sonic games

I mean canon wise is Chaos also a by the Master Emerald mutated Chao. The Ancient apparently all mutated into Chao over the ages. Somehow. And Chaos mutation made him closer to his ancestors again.
You need to listen to the EggMemos. They touch on that, they're a species related to Chaos. They're not exactly the same ofc. He was never from their planet or with them.

What's wilder is sticks is from sonic boom which is a whole nother universe so that means that Sticks exists in the main series universe aswell And we've never seen her in it.

Supreme Feels like a Boss Fight just to Setup the fight Against the True Final Boss of the Entire game really. Like a Rival that after you beat some sense into them they Start to Help you against the Final Enemy

The supposed final boss goes down way too quickly so the player is supposed to be shocked or expect a second phase or fight. Then the secrets boss ends up being a bullet hell. Supreme works as a set up boss fight but the secret boss it was setting up is just super underwhelming compared to the other titan fights. To me he was pretty lame. Used that sniper rifle he shows at the start of the fight ONCE, no unique counter animations, and honestly was just not that special compared to the other titans.

The developers did say Sonic Frontiers is going to be a main part of the story for the future of the Modern Sonic series.

I did the final bossfight no-hit till the very last 5 seconds. I consider it a win as it was my 2nd try. Idk if it was pure luck of skill. Hard mode.
