most well thought video on medic ive ever seen, everything you said resonates perfectly with the medic playstyle and there are only a very small amount of things that i can add on. 1- you didnt mention m1ning/weapons/crits, a big part of medic's playstyle is m1ning and criting because of the lack of offensive skills, i would personally use weapons that dash fowards or weapons that have a ranged crit so that you have either another gap closer or another ranged move to punish with. 2- bloody canvas and soul link can also be used to catch people on a flashstep, i would make a drawing but this is a comment so ill explain as much as i can, whenever someone flashsteps in a fight they can either go to the left or the right (and sometimes back), normally whenever they choose a side they will do an arc motion with their flashstep to try and get to your blindspot for an attack, after they use flashstep and youre certain that you know where they will land i always recommend throwing bloody canvas or soul link at that location. (example on 7:40 i wouldve gone foward and used bloody canvas to catch him after he flashstepped to my left) i do that and i would say theres a roughly 85-7% chance of u hitting them and being able to combo afterwards with a crit/rei rend, this is based on my combat experience (i have played medic on all races but now my main is SR medic) so it may be different for you. oh and you forgot reiatsu push but eh i just use it as a getoff tool when im fighting hakuda/kendo.
Been maining medic since day 1 of old type soul, probably the first medic main out there, so im just gonna type my history out here because I finally found like minded people. 1. Day 1 of Medic Journey: The first time type soul ever released, I saw medic and immideately put points into it. I was a shinigami, and thought that joining division 4 gave you healing buffs (No confirmation on it was available day 1) so I struggled for the first 3 days of type soul to try and rank up doing that stupid healing quest. I was maining wind at that time, because it was the only support-ish shikai available at the time. Blood was obviously way too hard to get for me, so I gave up on my Unohana cosplay. 2nd week of Medic Journey: I made and maxed out my arrancar account. Since Vasto was practically unobtainable, I was an Adjucar and Nnoitora scythe to pvp. Nnoitora scythe was my favorite weapon to pair up with medic, and I even managed to get into top 100 elo somehow, though I lost it in the next 20 minutes. I started my full res progression by doing raids in Wandenreich (It was right after Wanden map was remade) and ended up finishing with 60% of the progress there, before quitting type soul for good due to lack of updates. The New Beginning: Type soul re-release hit suddenly when I least expected it. It brought me joy to be finally able to play my medic build, abandoned for months, now in ranked. In the first season, i got to Gold 3 and then stopped playing ranked because it was getting unfun fighting quincy kido spammers before letz arrows were removed. I maxed out my Quincy account that I made in old type soul (i was maining qkido in old type soul) and switched it to medic because of how the new qkido play style did not meet the expectations I had for it. I was using miracle with medic, and it was probably the second best build I made and had fun with in type soul. 2nd month of New Type Soul: I got bored. Medic kept catching strays for no reason, and my build kept getting worse and worse, untill they releases butterfly. Butterfly changed my medic playstyle completely. I found out that during release of butterfly, I could land a guaranteed soul link by doing bloody canvas > Butterfly G > Soul link. I was back in ranked, however got bored of it after reaching Gold 1 again. 3rd and 4th month of New Type soul: Medic kept getting nerfs, which didnt stop me from using it, however my build was barely functional after the Butterfly G nerfs. I gave up on Quincy medic, and decided to just have fun with Soul reaper medic instead, but it was just a fraction of the fun I had before. The release of new kendo medic hybrid move was exciting, however removing soul link for it was too high of a price to pay. The new re-release of type soul: Medic lost all its identity. I quit being medic. In fact, im quitting type soul as a whole. Its just not as fun as it used to be.
@@OrangePicklee Still wondering what made setro think that removing any form of self heal from medic is a good idea. And he wont add it back because there is not enough people complaining (no one plays medic anymore)

I stopped playing type soul cause of the medic nerfs it may work it lower ranked but when your trying to play competive and at the higher level its just not viable anymore I might play the game again if they make the hybrids easier to get
