What was your favorite takeaway from this conversation with Ryder?

I just loved hearing about this in the first place! Lol 54321 makes me think of Mel Robbins’ method of the same name (although hers is about getting started doing The Thing).
🤔My timelines don’t really follow a 54321 framework…but this gives me something to tweak.
(For example, I don’t think 5 years out, I think 3 years out.
Instead of mapping my goals to 4 quarters, this year I started mapping them to take no longer than 6 months within a 9 month timeframe - I’m scheduling in my rest from now on.)
Maybe a 33321 will work for me…I’ll have to do some thinking😊
Great video as always! (I clicked because I saw Ryder; my jaw dropped when I saw you were doing the interview!)

Late to the party. Found your channel awhile back and honestly got away from bullet journaling but been getting back into latley using a hybrid of digital and buju together. Really great mini interview. Very insightful.

I like this 5 4 3 2 1 method. Again, the week doesn’t matter. Like how there’s a daily log and a monthly log. It’s so easy to focus on the week and live for the weekend

Rewriting every day is crazy. Once a month (as per original buio methodology) or weekly is more than enough friction IMO

Did not resonate with me. I really do not understand the struggles some have doing those things that bring value to their lives. I am getting done all the stuff that brings value to my life with the people I want to be with. All the rest is life noise that adds no value. I find many of the productivity books are regurgitated garbage spun in a different thought process. There is only one book that will offer all the answers.

So interesting that was your takeaway! My thinking was that I also have a lot of value to give, but it's important to prioritize the work and intentions.

Thats the beauty of ideas though. They are meant to be talked about, chewed on in a mental sense and persented in different perspectives and approaches. And although they might carry similar messages I have found value from each book I read on these topics to build upon the knowledge I already have. This is also true in the creative space, Movies, songs, tv shows can have similar ideas, lyrics, stories, but their value is in the difference of implementation and the perspective they offer. And one book's perspective on the same topic could be a lightbulb moment for someone who is reading it.
Also your cynical mindset is 100% in opposition to a growth mindset. Some of the most successful people in the world are because they have adopted an "always be learning" mindset even after killing it. They still consider themselves students and will until they die. You might make some progress in your life sure but you are going to greatly limit your potential with that kind of negative mindset.
