Ballard in for O'Nien and a striker please. Neil was poor today but just a temporary blip I am sure, Cirkin man of the match and great to have him back. Browne, very steady and solid signing
Good start to the season, 2 goals away from home, clean sheet, 3 points and a winning start for Le Bris, my assessment of the game, first half I thought we started the first 5 minutes little bit slow but after that we grew into the game, passed the ball well, took the lead and controlled it, 2nd half I thought we sat back a little bit to much which made it nervy at times, for the most part we defended well, not great but solid enough, also it's a good job that Cardiff were very wasteful and toothless in the final third however even though we weren't as good in the 2nd half we still looked the more threatening when we did go forward and thankfully we killed it off at the end, in terms of performances I thought Cirkin was MOTM absolutely outstanding, special mentions for Alese, Onien and Browne, the only downside is the striker situation, Mayenda did work hard but he's not ready or good enough to lead the line for a full season, we need to get that experienced striker in as soon as possible, if we do and that is still a big if with this lot, if we do then we've got a really good chance of doing something this season but it all depends on recruitment and keeping hold of Clarke, anyway good start onto Preston now 👍🔴⚪🔴⚪
@@L12Bong he had 2 or 3 moments in the whole game where he moved the ball quickly, got the assist for Clarke and should've for Mayenda but overall I thought he went missing to much and to slow on the ball at times, not awful but not great, even Neil wasn't great today got caught in possession so many times, nobody was awful but IMO Neil, Jobe and Mayenda were the weak links today
Clarke does not seem to be in a hurry to leave - his agent may be though. I still think there's a good chance he will stay. After all we do not need to sell him. Checked a few forums and personally think Mayenda was given a bit of a hard time. Yes we need Mendy across the line but you can see the potential in this lad and he actually got a little bit of service. Defence today was spot on but, naughty Luke trying his wrestling moves a bit too often for my liking. Their shouts for penalties mind you were ridiculous. Good 3 points, let's see who plays v PNE an looking forward to playing a team I have always had a soft spot for - Wednesday.
decent opening performance. need to see how we play next week cos we’ve always been good away, must improve our home form this season. obviously STILL need a striker, must be over 6 foot and have scored at least 10 goals in his career lol
Love how honest your videos are. Great start for Sunderland. By the looks of things Leicester managers are not keen on cannon so you may be in luck. However this season for Leicester I fear the worse our preseason has been dreadful. Think we will be lucky to get 12 points this season.
@@scottblankley1199 I’m begging we get Cannon on loan. If we went in for him we’d be the perfect place right now as if it was a case of him being regularly fit, he’d start 😂 I’m sure Leicester will be ok as well Scott. And thanks for watching!
Once we get Ballard & Poveda fit then our bench is going to look that much stronger. Still think we might struggle to break teams down at home without a proven goalscorer but good start. 2 huge elephants in the room though are will Clarke stay & will they get any strikers in ? How will our team look in September ? I see a certain Josh Maja scored a hat trick for West Brom today. Wish he was still in our team.
Alese took a while to get up to scratch with his first touch, Neil struggled all game and was usually the reason why Cardiff had the ball, while Mayenda just doesn't move enough or make his presence known and probably is second to Rusyn, but we need to get the ball quickly to him. With that said, we got an away win on opening day and clean sheet. O'Nien looked good on the ball except for a couple of errors, but largely played well. If we can get a whole season out of Cirkin, we will be solid and a threat, the lad is brilliant. Browne did all the things we lacked when we started Ekwah, he seems to have a head for the game. Roberts looked lively and lingered on the ball less than he was last season, which is so important. Very happy
@@Table-Top I’m doing ok at the moment personally. 2024 has been a very testing year away from football. But I appreciate you asking my friend and likewise hope you’re doing well. As for the strikers, I agree we could do with getting two knowing our injury luck.
Any news with strikers coming in? I hope we get the two that are rumoured. Great result yesterday, the game against Sheff Wed will be difficult after their 4-0 win today.
@@Simon-im2zn only thing I will say is Plymouth were awful. But under Danny Rohl (who I wanted Sunderland to get) it’ll be a very tricky game. Hopefully goes MILES better for us than the end of last season’s game did.
Michael Cardiff's a hard place to go so was quite happy today especially when our backs were against the wall canny way to start but more work needed Haway the Lads
Michael so pleased you are quick to post your resume Please keep fit Denis C Just think of how many goals came down that side lwhen we lost Denis and Niall So pleased with Bellingham if he matures it will be great Did we notice any style difference
Get Ballard fit, sign Mendy, don't see any alternatives at this point. Get a genuine Premier League striker on loan who can play a part in getting us goals and we have a real chance of a good season.
Not a brilliant performance, but solid opening matchday win. Never felt like they could do us. It was going to be a draw at worst. We'll have to wait to see if we are contenders of if Cardiff is not any good.
Decent start .didn't look good going forward we are desperate for a striker. Bellingham had a quiet game. But at least we started with a win and away from home.
new aussie fan here excited for the rest of the season.
Definitely need to keep Clarke
Roberts is back to his best
A good start to the season, if we can back it up with a win at home next Sunday.
Ballard in for O'Nien and a striker please. Neil was poor today but just a temporary blip I am sure, Cirkin man of the match and great to have him back. Browne, very steady and solid signing
We played well the first half shite the second half but Clarke done his magic and cemented the win
Great result well done Luke and jack for getting onto score sheet. Like the high pressing style of play. Sunderland till I die 👍😁

How will Poveda get in the squad when Rigg can’t even start and Roberts being outstanding in this game. Jobes best game for a while.
