Longing is a story about an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) and her daughter. The mother (named Teresa) works abroad as a domestic helper to support her family. She returns back home to the Philippines and encounters difficulties connecting and resuming her relationship with her daughter Jessica after years of distance and resentment that built up throughout the years. Jessica does not know the sacrifices her mother made to leave and work abroad for many years. She doesn't know the sacrifice. On the other hand, Teresa does not know how difficult it has been for her daughter growing up without a mother. As the mother is about to leave again, they both realize the difficult situation they are placed in. As they were both longing to each other, will they be able to reconcile in the end?

Sandy Truong as Teresa Reyes (40 y/o) - Jessica’s mother and Don’s wife who works as a domestic helper abroad.
Elly Huang as Jessica Reyes (18 y/o) - Teresa and Don’s only daughter who is rebellious towards her mother.
James Melcher as Don Reyes (41 y/o) - Jessica’s father and Teresa’s husband who takes care of his daughter while his wife is away.
Ari Gonzalez as Leila (mid-20’s) - a minor character, an agent who assists Teresa to renew her working visa.
