Alligator Indicator strategy is among the most popular trading strategies in the market, the indicator is usually used for scalping and it is considered as one of the best trend indicators in Forex, Stock market, Indices or even binary options. William Alligator Indicator helps the trader to define the strength of a trend and reduce the risk they might need to take and add another security level to the financial investment.
In today’s video we are going to learn how to use the William Alligator Indicator with the ADX trading strategy to make as many successful trades as possible, we will apply this strategy in the forex market. You can use Tradingview instead as the ADX indicator available on MT5 is slightly different

Depending on market cycle structure.. I use alligator with 100 EMA...On 1hr chart....checking "directional bias" on the 4hr and day chart. Works best in non choppy markets. Good Hunting and keep your positions low especially if your working a real job and cant check your acct often. Low positions gives your trade and brain room to breath. Also a large stop loss wont kill our acct. 1.5% risk is cool and profitable. I love this channel..Mad scientist stuff saves me hours of back testing strategies and drama. Thank you for your hard work putting these experiments together.

I coded an MQL5 EA with the same rules as shown in the video and tested it from August 9th through 100 trades on a EURUSD chart with 5 minutes timeframe.
I had a $ 70 loss instead of a $ 261 profit.
I’ve coded robots for several of the strategies you’ve presented and all of them making loss instead of profit especially on a long-therm.

The Tradingview ADX indicator is different from the MQL5 ADX indicator.
Is it better to use in lower TF? Coz, it is delayed in High TF.

I watched closely and noticed that you have missed couple of trades in your backtest. I have scripted the strategy to backtest it and got around 40% success rate for RRR 1,2 - that is not god enough to be long-term profitable ;)
Thanks for taking action, well 40% win rate for a 1.2 RRR strategy isn't that much unless you use a trailing stop loss

Low number of entries and long trade duration = high swap
This strategy 50 - 50 alwayes working but sometime wrong , which better time frame

It's pretty relative, it depends on the pair your are trading, event calendar and of course your style of trading.
Personally I prefer trading the price action strategy :)

I think reln72 had something different on his mind. He agrees with 3% of risk but asks why to use any strategy (for example ADX+BB), you can toss a coin whether to buy or sell and you will also have 50% probability of success. Maybe it would be interesting to test strategy with tossing a coin? But how to test that...?
They might actually flip a coin at "Flat Earth Trading Society" here on RUclips. They use all kinds of weird ways to get into a trade. Their goal is to show that you can enter anything at any time, it's all about the exit.

That isn't really a good strategy.

@@aimbotzzz4213 100% no loss strategy is just gambling. You have to risk very little in order for it to work out. If you take 1% risk on a trade. You will keep increasing one percent every trade to make up for the loss till 6 trades. In my opinion, It's better to take losses and have a 60 - 70 % win rate by risking one percent of your account.
@@vignesht8003 ok ok thank you, backtested that strategy for about 5 hours now and i see what you mean. However i prefer this strategy over all else because i haven't found any other profitable ones at all sadly. If i may ask what strategy do you use that gives you a 70% win rate?
@@aimbotzzz4213 price action, volume analysis, pivot points, trend lines, support and resistance levels. Don't use any indicator and Start reading charts. Start paying attention to candle stick patterns in key areas. Read technical analysis books. This is the way to become profitable. I'm not profitable myself. But have been reading and studying charts. Use technical indicators as confirmations. Don't rely on them heavily.
