Fabulous from beginning to end! I love how you tied this chypre to the season. I do rock my vintage 7.5 ml. bottle of the Huile Parfum. It is still green with dark florals, and two drops fill up the room. Love your mention of mummies, as I spent two summers working at a natural history museum, and I can still remember the smell of the mummy room. Hilarious bloopers!
Magie Noir brings very happy memories! I worked at a high end department store, in the cosmetics department when I was in nursing school. I didn’t work for Lancôme, but it was my favorite brand at the time. I remember my dad buying my first make up brush set from Lancôme for $50.00! I wore the tiniest bit of Magie Noir so as not to offend, and I had many compliments from men and women. Maybe I will pick up a small bottle of the vintage version! I absolutely loved this video & subscribed!
The original is much denser and not sharp in the top at all IMHO. I wore it in the late 80’s when I was 18. I can’t believe I didn’t leave a trail of people passed out behind me😂 I’d love to hear your comparison since I haven’t smelled it since my youth.
i am not so sure where i stand with oak moss... i noticed that it kinda makes my stomach turn.. and i found that to be the common factor of 2 scents that make me feel the same... but then again, i bought an oakmoss heavy perfume, but it doesn´t do the same..
I used to really,really like it but then I got an almost brand new bottle..and it just doesn't blend at all now with my chemistry and just stinks.. And so since I've hardly used it (I gave it to my mom and she loves it!) and also it is the one in the new bottle that they reformulated..and I think that the old formula was much nicer and smoother..it kinda reminds me of Dioressence by Dior,and when Dioressence first came out I really liked that one to, it was really nice..but now I just can't do either of them,like I used to really like 1000 by Jean Patou but just can't wear it it's just to much.. So alot of my really expensive fragrances if it doesn't blend well with my chemistry I just give to my mom,because sometimes it's a blind buy...and sometimes a blind buy works..and then sometimes it just doesn't.
Your production is always on point, the content is utterly captivating. I never know what to expect other than you cannot just listen to a Fragrance Test Tube video, it demands attention. Now where do I buy some vintage virgin borat oss of moak?

The oak moss in Nomade by Chloé is fitting and I think part of its unique scent.
