My 5 or 6 POSITIVE reasons that everyone should have or be considering Sisterlocks!!! LOL I know they aren't for everyone but why not just spread the joy I feel in my heart!!!
So many reasons to love your hair in any state and right now this is me living my best life!! Haha!!

I agree with you sister about our sisterlocs. I have had mine since 2003, so that's 15 years. The onnly negative could be the initial cost investment. But it is equivalent of the cost of 2 weaves and then total freedom. Best decision i've ever made. Sometimes I long for loose natural hair. But the truth is, I just can't see being tied down to products, detangling, and all that jazz. Beautiful young sister. Sisterlocs may not be everyone's #1 choice, but they are working for me.
Same, the other say I was just telling my husband that I want to comb out like 10 so I can have a braid of my natural hair t play with.....then I said nah I'm going to end up having to style that piece way more frequent then I would want!!
The pro about not going to the hair store is theee truth! Everything you said was the truth!!! I installed microlocs that often get mistaken for Sisterlocks, but your positive points made about locs really made me 😊Thank you!

I go to my consult June 27th .I can’t wait 😊. I don’t think they cost that much . this year along i have paid over $800 on braids , weaves, etc and the year isn’t over. Sisterlocks are going to save me so much money 💰.
Sister locks are cheap to me.
I’m tired of the rude comments for the hair stores. They think we depend on them.

LuvNknappiness yeah after I got my sisterlocks I questioned if they were to little and considered having them combined or if I should have done traditional Locs....but nope I just needed to let these mature!

Tomorrow will be my two month locversary. I did not get SL... I ended up going with small traditional locs & I am loving the journey thus far.
I am watching this literally on the train and there is a sisterlocked sister right here in front of me and I feel so life given!!! Ughh so ready for mine. Been thinking for almost a year now about it, so I think it's time.

Honestly I’m in a place now where I’m dancing between keeping my locs or cutting them again. I tried retightening my own locs on my own and I could get through it. I have over 700 locs. Let me know how your self retightening goes. Good luck 👍🏿
This was great to watch! I have been a fan of Sisterlocks for a couple of years now. In August I took the Sisterlocks Consultant course and I learned a lot about the process. The plan was to install my own Sisterlocks as well as do my own re-tightening but I've been stalling because I have somewhat thin hair. It's very healthy and has length but I don't want it to look scalpy. I've learned all of the methods for the type of pattern to use for different types of hair including the one for fine, thin hair so I hope I do it right. Loved your feedback on staying away from products! I think that's very important. You and your locks are beautiful! Thank you.
From what I've seen, it looks like everyone is a bit scalpy at the beginning and then over time your hair thickens up!!! I am excited for you girl this is going to be the best hair move you have ever made!!! Thank you very much for watching my video and the compliment!!!

You know Ebony, I think what made me hesitate was that there was a lady in the Sisterlocks class who had her Sisterlocks for a couple years and it was extremely scalpy. It could be because she was using products in her locs and she also kept it pulled tight, but I was like, what is going on!!! That is not what I want! But I'm inspired by your words!

Yep I definitely agree pulling your hair tight has never been a good thing and putting product in your hair when it is completely not needed!!! (in most cases) I will say every woman I have seen with SL's they all look great in some way or another I feel like they enhance you( maybe because how freeing they are) so don't worry I'm sure yours are going to be amazing!!!

Yeah sister locks are tiny lol I have been doing my own retightening and let me tell you every time I'm like ok I am definitely going to combine this and make them bigger!! Lol but I am nervous to actually go through with it!

Im going to start my sister loc journey in a month and only question I have is with there being 🚫chemicals, what do you use if your scalp gets dry or does that happen? Your sister locs are GORGEOUS by the way 😌💜

LOL If I look back at pictures though it was probably like 9 months to a year when I noticed my ponytails were harder to put in!!! It is a fun journey girl this is the best time I have ever had with my hair!!! Enjoy!

I got sisterlocs in 2017. They were very short and dark. 2019 they are shoulder length and hot red! I love them!

Hey! Yea im really thinking about some brotherlocs like im 95% on yea im getting them lol i want like 300 thats my magic number i feel like the maintenance wont be super bad plus since im super active with working out i feel the will be the best fit for me!

G J I don't know, I wish more little girls who do athletics knew about it! I think if my mom had my hair done like this when I was little it would have been amazing and I could have done more things! Our hair is pretty restricting and expensive! 🤷🏾♀️ but I will keep spreading the word!

How long does it take to retighten and about how much does it cost? I really want sisterlocks, but, I am afraid of the upkeep.
Shannon Edison I have been retightening my hair since March it takes me like a 2-3 days, I don't mind it. Usually it's not like getting your hair done every 2 weeks it's more every 5-6 weeks. I can't remember exactly how long it took but it was around $80-$90 every 6 weeks! I hope this helps!
Also it's less money in the long run, because you don't need any products unless you want it!

The cost to install and maintain is definitely a con. Let’s be real.
It might be for you, for me it was worth it!! It works out to like $30-40/hr so I was ok with personally. I think of it as an investment. Now I will say that I prefer to do my own hair so for me that would probably be the con you have to depend on someone else to maintenance your hair!
I'm so excited I can't wait to start my SL journey.I plan to start interviewing consultants in January.
