I like it! I am thinking of picking up some of those clear tubes for the ability to view and enjoy the silver without taking them out. Just looking at them is great! And still keeps them organized and protected.
I reorganized my 2 ammo cans last week and it was mesmerizing to see everything I've accumulated and sort of forgotten about. Gold silver platinum is simply beautiful...
I absolutely love your ammo can idea. I have been using monster boxes to store my silver in my safe and although a great idea, not great to move or transport. Ammo cans are the absolute best thing that I have ever used! Thank you for the great ideas and content!!
I did this the same. I have a medium sized cardboard box and it was quite full but today I went and got tubes for my Canadian and 50 cent 80% silver coins and the box isn’t as full now. Ahhaha I also got capsules for my Morgan’s and peace dollars too. At least my 90% half dollars box is full. I cherry picked the good ones and put them all in capsules too.Good quality US 90% coins is just as good as 1 ounce coins.
Been using those tubes for a few years now. I also used ammo boxes but switched to guard house boxes because I could store/stack them more efficiently in my safe. I have dropped a tube full of coins before. The lid pops off and the coins go all over the place!
A lot. I've filled about 50 of the 100 tubes, which is 500FV or 1000 halves. So I'd need another 1000 halves ($500FV) to use all the new tubes. However my current short term goal is $700FV, or 1400 halves total. $700FV = 500oz silver content.... so that's my Monster Box goal for a ammo can of junk silver. I'm trying to collect in terms of 500oz type sets, haha.
@@silversurfwax3863 I'm UK based so there isn't as much constitutional (Most of the UK stuff got melted down in WW2). I do have some pre 1920. In terms of US I have 600 x 90% proof quarters (10 complete sets of the 50 states and 6 Territories). I also have some halves and dimes. Most of my stuff is sets so if physical sits doing nothing for 20 years I've still got the numismatic. Largest stack is the 1oz Kookaburra. I have 10 complete sets, aiming for 14. After that I'll slow down keeping the sets churning over and switch to Gold as I broke 1300Toz of Silver.
@@gunnargundersen3787 that's awesome! It's neat to learn how folks stack in the UK and the different tax considerations, etc. It's interesting how you got into US coinage. I have yet to delve much into foreign coins, but I see that on my horizon.
@@silversurfwax3863 You pay 20% sales tax in Silver (Gold is sales tax free). You also pay Capital Gains Tax on the profit of both Silver or Gold UNLESS it is UK coinage (So Britannias with a GBP face value and other Royal Mint coins are exempt from CGT). Bars are not exempt so nobody really stacks them here. I have US liabilities - I own a house in the States, so stack 20% in US denominated to cover that liability. My issues with the US coinage is that the numismatic premium is lower than say Aussie Perth Mint, China Pandas (which I only stack 2 per year due to their piss poor human rights record - same reason I swerve Krugerands) or Libertads. The second reason is that the US Mint has been churning out mediocrity for years with a notable few exceptions (The Washington crossing the Delaware quarter is a lovely coin and the old State Quarters are great). The US mint is also screwing over individual collectors by prioritising the orders of the large bullion dealers. Oh and their website and order prioritization and shipping sucks too. Check out Guam Stacker on the last issue. Compare that with the Royal Canadian Mint with their security and anti-milk spotting tech and their beautiful 2 ouncers. The Perth Mint with their variety of beautiful offerings of Kookaburras, Swans and Brumbie/Stock horses. The Royal Mint has a milk spotting issue but they are blowing it out of the park with their anti-forgery technology (The 2021 Britannia is the coin of the year by a country mile). Their 3 Graces, Queens Beasts and the latest Myths and Legends series are superb. They all produce better coins at a cheaper price than the US Mint and I'm not saying that because I'm mostly British and they all have the Queen on them.
Post more videos!!!
Haha! Great timing! Your wish is my command!

That's fantastic. It's motivating to get everything out and review it all. Then you want more!
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Good call on the coin holders!
Boom! Thank you Shane!

Nothing wrong with organizing your stack! I do the same.
Thank you! Haha, I need the validation. Feel guilty sometimes for my OCD :)

Excellent work! Yeah, it's fun to get organized!

Great feedback! Thank you!
I feel like I was tricked! You said you were done at 3 minutes... I enjoyed the rest too!
Sorry! Haha, yeah, I planned a short vid, but just got excited trying out my new toys!
@@silversurfwax3863 I do that all the time, I just don’t share it with the world. Glad you do!

Haha, yes! thank you!
Nice one. How many do you need to fill them all?
