You were such an example of being a true woman. I am in chemo and facing the day soon when I will shave my hair off. Thank you for sharing this experience. Watching you go through this gives me strength to do the same. Your boyfriend was so tender. You are a beautiful lady! God bless you.
You are an amazing person. My mother was diagnosed with breat cancer in 1997 and 2004, watching this actually brought back all the difficult times my mother faced when she was battling breast cancer. Stay strong
You still are beautiful!! I had survived cervical cancer and wish to tell you that you are beautiful and have a lovely husband who supports you. You have every reason to be happy
wow, you're so brave to post this on youtube ... four years ago i shaved my head myself, when my family went on an out-of-town trip ... it was a Good Friday when i did it. i was alone and i was crying as i saw my hair falling to the floor. but it felt so ... cool after! the wind was blowing on my bare head, and the sun was shining ... life goes on, dear. be strong; this too shall pass.
wow. this made me cry. I lost my mom to breast cancer under a year ago. I hope you are ok. This is so symbolic. Shaving your head is kind of like letting go. accepting the hell you will go through. I hope you and anyone out there going through cancer realize that just the fact that you've made it this far makes u strong! You are beautiful, no matter how you look, you're beautiful people :) And you can get through this. Even if it means dying, surviving, or whatever happens, you will get thru it.
You are beautiful, with and without hair. You're still the same person inside, and that's the kind of beauty NOBODY can take away from you - ever. Your boyfriend was so sweet and gentle while he shaved your hair, and he no doubt thinks the world of you. Please stay strong, xxx
Since i've done the same thing as you when i was 26 years old, i lost my smile with my hair.. So, remember your smile before starting this video please and keep it..!! You are just beautiful and nothing can change that, be strong.
u r such a strong woman... i couldn´t show it the world.. well the day i lost my hair (and i´m only 20 yrs) i was done with everything.. i was just crying.. i hope that u r better agaiin!! xo
When I was told I would need chemo, my hair was to my mid-back. I cut it to my shoulders. When I started chemo I cut it to about 3 inches all over. When it started coming out in handfuls it took me about 3 days to basically pull it all out myself. Hope you are well and happy with hair now Micelle. God bless.
Shit, i just burst out crying !! Like my god, i feel so sorry for you. You're an amazing person. You are so strong for going through with it all. I wish I could feel what your going through and what other people like you are, just because I feel so sorry for you. Love you xx
OMG, thank you for the updat. She was so strong and such a fighter, I have always wondered about her. I do have to say she had great spirit and a wonderful man and she was...is loved.
you are so beautiful im proud you had the courage to shave you had and not let the cancer do it for you not many people would do that....my mother in law did also she was very sick she had more then one type of cancer and sadly cancer took her life in 2009 but she fought her heart out and i promise her id walk for cancer and i will once a year :) your a inspiration just like she was too me .... good luck and god bless
I think that is very cute of him to shave your head, im glad he supports you. Even though you dont know me and i dont know you, i support you every step of the way. You can make it.
I did the same thing to my hair. I cut off all my hair before i started chemo and i felt like i was reborn afterwards. I hope you never go through something as horrible as this ever again.
Michelle, I was scrolling through RUclips, and I typed in Cancer ,,, and I came across your photo, well I read about you , and I have to be honest I went through a treatment for my liver disease and from the Meds , all my hair came out , I wore the short short style , close to the scalp, and wore my make up and I was given many compliments, and to me , you look good , dont let NOBODY tell you that you shouldnt have shaved your head or that it doesnt look good, god bless you
You are beautiful. This takes great courage and you simply inspire me. Thank You. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you continue to fight cancer.
You are so brave honey. Thank you for sharing your video with all of us. I hope you are doing well. Healthy and happy. And most of all cancer-free!! God bless you!!
You brave wonderful sweetheasrt! I hope your treatment was a complete success, and that your health is restored 100% And I hope your gorgeous hair is back to its gleaming glory on top of your head. God Bless you and all that face this dreaded disease!
In the description it says, she started getting chunks of hair fall out after treatment, so to avoid the process of watching it fall out, her bf is helping her shave her head.
Thank you for posting this. I am 34, two weeks into chemo, and I'm about to do the same thing. It's very scary. It was helpful to watch this; I don't feel so alone. You make a beautiful bald btw!
I want to say that Michelle you are a BRAVE LADY and Jake, YOU ARE 1 HELLUVA MAN! I hope everything went ok as its been a year since this video. Would love to hear from you and you and your family are in my prayers.
This was an extremely brave thing to do and I would like to wish you the best of luck through chaemo. You have a good man too to help you along the way. You know what your still a pretty lady!
Michelle, I cried the moment you saw the first cut. You know what though? You look more beautiful to me with no hair than you did with it. I realize this is a pretty old video, and you've probably got it back by now, but by u doing this for the world to see, you've inspired over 163 THOUSAND women. Props to you. Trinity, Flagstaff AZ
I so sorry, I hope you can over come it. And I'm sure you will you still look so pretty. May God bless you. I wish you the best for you and you family.
First, Michelle, I thank you for sharing such an intimate, emotional experience with us. You are a brave and courageous young woman and it appears you handle(d) your condition with a tremendous amount of grace and class. Your beauty goes well beyond your locks of hair which will grow (or perhaps already has grown) back. I hope you have fully recovered and are living life happily, fully , cancer-free and in God's good care. Be well.
Wow, your one brave woman, and the plus side to this, having short hair is fuckin amazing, and you finally get to have it, its so much more comfortable then having long hair
This video bought a tear to my eye, your extremely brave I hope you get better! God bless! you looked beautiful before and even more beautiful after! Love from OllieSaundersUK
SweetAngel0789:Ahhm I accidentally clicked the wrong thing so sorry...your comment is a thumbs up! Michelle you are gorgeous without hair!!! I hope that you are well and things are going for the positive!! My grandmother and mom had breast cancer and both beat the odds...had mastectomies. Keep the faith that you will get better!! Hey ur a trooper girl, and u have a loving husband! ur in my prayers and i hope the best for u... Remember it is hair itll grow back girly :) I know it s hard losing ur hair but what doesnt kill yah makes you stronger. Say strong.
how very sad, and yet brave all at the same time. and what a wonderful supportive boyfriend you have,,,,, chin up lady, i would love to know how you are doing now, as this video is over a year old.
I shaved my head for cancer in the beginning of the summer.. though it’s still growing back I wish I could have traded so you could still be able to have hair..
you are beautiful. lot of people love you . beauty is not in your hair. it is in your eyes and specially in your mind . every body has to die but brave people face the hard time with courage
You are so beautiful and brave. I'm sure lots of people would like to know how things are. I absolutely love my shaved head, but I didn't have to do it. It was not based on illness. Blessings to you Sweetheart.
Your hair will grow back when you beat the cancer. And you WILL beat it. You are beautiful with or without your hair. Doing this (shavingyour head) will help you be strong!
he was very sweet until he said "you don't look that bad...really" ouch. She looks BEAUTIFUL...a very pretty face. Ok, but other than that he did great and Michelle is very brave for putting it out there to hopefully inspire women (and men) to be pro-active about checking their breasts! Early detection means faster recovery.
you make me cry... and you know what , your really stong women.. I will pary for you.... your so lucky also to your bf.. I hope he will not change to love you forever.. mwahh
I just found out a few days ago that my girlfriend has breast cancer. This news has completely turned our world upside down. Everything I thought mattered before is now meaningless. I feel so scared and sad. She should not be going through this. No woman should have to go through it. I would like to know how things have turned out for you and if you have any advice on how to get through this. Thank you!
@BollyBoop Any cancer patient who undergoes chemotherapy faces the possibility of losing their hair. I was diagnosed with NHL in July 2009 and had chemo, and I lost my hair. Chemotherapy doesn't affect everyone the same way ,so not everyone loses their hair. As of this January, I am one year cancer free.
Bless your heart sweet baby. You must be a strong woman to shave your head like that (hair is obviously a huge deal to girls), and even stronger to post a video of it. Hell Im a guy (with spiked hair) and my hair is a big deal to me too, so I could only imagine. Best part is I think your strong enough to kick that cancers ass!!!
P.S. First, anyone planing to do this, please, for you wife/girlfriends sake, oil the clippers before, and several times during the cutting process! It will be much easier on her. Hi Michelle and God bless. My wife was just diagnosed with aggressive, invasive, triple negative, ductal carcinoma, stage 4. Our world has been completely turned upside down. In spite of it all she is totally positive God is going to heal her. I hope so. I can't even think about life without her. Sincerely, Charles
My sister has been through hell and back for two month and starts chemo next week. I will be shaving my head for her and plan on trying to pick her up in a bar with my face mustache. Peace be with you sister, what you are going through is unbelievable.
It is amazing how some thing so little as hair effects us .. I am scared to loss my hair but it means fighting the fight yes I would take lossing it ..
You are BEAUTIFUL with or without hair! :)) Please let us know your current status! Hope all is well and you're healthier than ever! :) GOD BLESS YOU !
Just as beautiful at the end of the video as at the beginning!!!! Her soul has rippling muscles that can lift 1000 pounds. R.I.P., but hope that's not the case!
@eFeXxSniping because when you have to get kemotherapy the hair starts to fall out and some people like to do it beforehand so its not a shock when it happens
@Pipweed she obviously was sad to see her hair go, i know for a fact it wasnt an easy decision for her. this is not a thing to be rude about. who would want to walk arround every day with clumps of hair falling out when you could just as easily remove it all at once.
You were such an example of being a true woman. I am in chemo and facing the day soon when I will shave my hair off. Thank you for sharing this experience. Watching you go through this gives me strength to do the same. Your boyfriend was so tender. You are a beautiful lady! God bless you.
