I'm not perfect so if I missed something that you feel is important to share with the class please do so below so we can all get better as professional GIGACHADS!
true enough nobody can reach perfection. in this u have reached excellence, though so big up that. including the offer opening up the floor so to speak for others to also come in and share their knowledge. thats how true wisdom is generated thank u for sharing
simplified answer. don’t stand next to us. we’re repositioning to preserve shield meter by avoiding a big mechanic. if your a back attacker and somehow end up next to the gunlancer during a taunt, your doing something wrong. we don’t move far enough away that the aggro will suddenly swerve to your direction. the gunlancer must be trolling by purposely running next to teammates. lol
Thanks for making awareness to this issue :D I see a lot of people taunt guardian booty straight into a wall or just taunt out of the blue without even waiting for a burst window or to disrupt the boss
I started doing Helltan witout knowing about the little icon under the boss my man next run we succeed g1 only because I knew when to taunt. Because I now know I can focus on getting hit less and stagger it's so fun to do helltan as a gl !
Easier way to remember: Is this the main boss of the encounter? Taunt won't work. If it's not, taunt will work. As of now nothing comes up as an exception to this rule but there may be a very few. On prokel you can 'taunt' in pvp phase. If you use taunt the boss will face you, but it's not a true taunt and only will face you because you applid a cc. If you are that guy who always complains ' MAN THIS GUNLANCER'S TAUNT SUCK!' . Sometimes it may, but if you have 4 other dps on the other side and you positioned yourself next to the GL who is maybe waiting for the taunt to come up or knows that that pattern is immune to be taunted because buff or boss immune AND THEN he makes it so the boss is back to the others but not to you, but you complain that is on you. Completely useless tip: If you want to get cruel fighter as GL against back attackers, just position yourself next to them and taunt the boss so they lose the back attack bonus.
Hey Haiguh, I've never played LA but was thinking of trying it out at the start of this anniversary event. However I am a little worried about getting invested in a game that I've heard requires a lot of playtime in order to keep up. Also - I don't want to start if I am going to be severely behind the curve. Any advice? If the easy answer is just not to play, then I am ok with that. I'd rather someone be honest with me then sugar coat it. Thanks!
I dont think you will behind, had you started 10 months ago then maybe but I think there are tons of events and passes that help new players catch up to the curve. This game heavily caters to new players and they know it takes time so they do their best to make it easier.
One thing I'd add would be: Don't taunt a boss and interrupt "free damage" patterns. Save for patterns where a boss is going to be annoying and zip around.
I feel like that would be kind of unrealistic, if you think about it the main people we can’t taunt are pretty big deal bosses. Lore wise it would make them seem much weaker if a human with a shield could just yell at them all the time. 😂
I think you can, but you're the only one in there anyways so it won't matter too much anyways. It's not like a full taunt like some other bosses where it full on stops em for a second. At least not in my experience

Thank you for making a video about Destro/Gl while knowing this class. There are so many guides out there that are strait up wrong. Good video.
I knew about the taunt timer but never noticed the drops icon, thanks for the video!

Good call, I definitely should have mentioned that!
I feel like the taunt should work on all bosses al the time woth the increased cd timer everytime.

Always thought pvp prokel could be taunted
Pretty sure during pvp he gets mini stunned when you taunt I could be wrong but it’s something I’ve noticed. Not a full taunt for sure though.

TAUNT SETO, curse me later :3
