Security is better than at the arrival! Large guards working together, no panic in their eyes, and the girls look relaxed. Not perfect, but much better!
You can tell each member of twice is just trying keep the interactions with the fans to a minimum because if one fan gets overly excited it can become chaos in a split second. Screaming, yelling and security will have their hands full.

No es que seamos ridículos, por si no sabías, las chicas van MESES viajando incontrolablemente a países de europa, haciendo dobles conciertos donde miles de personas pagan una fortuna para tomar siquiera un asiento. Es razonable que ellas lleguen así sin interacción alguna con los fans, ya hasta me da miedo lo pálidas que están y el peso drástico que han bajado, pero no faltan las personas que vienen con sus opiniones estúpidas solo para llamar la atención.
Yes they can ask for order and control at the airport, there is a reason why so many people are protecting them, there have been many incidents during these airport walks. And just bc they r idols they dont owe you fans to smile every time, they give us enough with music, concerts, fancalls, and they shouldnt feel forced to do smth, they should do it when they feel like it, they should be themselves with us, they should feel comfortable to sometimes not show their brightest self, they r not just to be "idolized", you need to respect them as human beings, respect their right to feel safe, and respect them as they are, they dont have to be all smiles and have interactions with fans when they dont feel comfortable, they love their fans but fans r literal strangers at the end of the day, and airports are not exactly the safest places esp when u r in a foreign country u dont want to get too close to strangers, thats why they pass quickly, as soon as they can, this is not an official schedule for meeting fans, but they need to pass through the airport to depart, they dont have to smile at every fan thats frenziedly running after them, i feel so uncomfortable just watching them be surrounded by so many people, i honestly get scared if smth might happen, and members know when they feel comfortable to give a smile, when they r not tired, when they feel safe, when there is enough distance they calmly wave to the fans to say bye, i wish fans would have more understanding and not come to the airport at all or stand in one place and just watch them from the distance, esp if there r many people already, but everyone's pushing and running after them, i wish it was more regulated and that not just anyone is allowed to get so close to them, fans should be kept at a distance, fans can put their letters somewhere where idols can pick them up or give it to security or managers before or after idols pass, regulations are important so that incidents can be prevented and idols can feel safe, as someone who isnt a public figure u cant really judge them until u r in their shoes and u see what its like to be surrounded by so many people with no order at all.
@chaedokhu what you said is very sensible and correct. They leave/arrive through the airport in Korea often and the press and fans know their limitations, but when you are in a different country the fans aren’t used to the kind of attraction idol groups create. The added security is very much needed to keep the girls in a bubble of safe space. They certainly love their ONCE’s but in public settings they keep their reactions very tempered so as to not cause fans to go too crazy. TWICE is a really wonderful group of girls, let’s always keep them safe!!
