- Hey boos! Long time no talk. You all have been requesting this brand for a while and I decided to finally bite the bullet and try out their September Curlmix Fresh kit. The theme for the month was Blackberry Boost and I used all three products in this video today. I hope you all enjoy and let me know your experience with Curlmix in the comments below!

Girl, your hair looks so good! I love Curlmix. The gel had a little bit of a learning curve for me, but once I learned how NOT to over apply, my results were beautiful. That was awesome of you to shout out M.A.D. Curls. I definitely got put on to Curlmix by them. I'm glad you did this review and I'm glad you like the products. Curlmix is a staple in my stash. I use the watermelon fragrance and love it!
Thank you! The gel for sure has a learning curve, but I think it was still forgiving for me. M.A.D. Curls has really put us all on to some gems out here. I’m eyeing the watermelon and vanilla sets for my next purchases!

My hair is fine/thin, and doing small sections to apply product just takes too long for the little bit of hair that I even have on my head. Lol! I tried CurlMix way back when it first came out and I found that the gel was watery-ish, and didn't seem to do a thing for my hair...your review makes me wanna give it another go, the product consistency looks a little thicker. 🙌🏾

That moisturizer is just LOVE 😩 it really looked like I was finished and I’d just started lol!
Your hair came out great. I had two complete sets from BF last year. And out of all the times I used it I only got one amazing wash n go. It was just too inconsistent for me to spend that much. I wanted to love it, but I’m done trying to crack that code. I have plenty other stylers that I love that I can apply drunk and blindfolded and still get amazing results. 😆 I do love the shampoo and the moisturizer though.

Have not used Curl Mix as it is a bit too expensive. I opted to purchase the She Scentit Pomegranate Flaxseed line instead and the Natures Little Secret line flaxseed.
Those are both dope options!

These results are gorgeous!! I have definitely been eyeing Curlmix but I'm not sure if that flaxseed gel will have enough hold for my thick 3c hair. I've never tried a flaxseed gel! Is the hold and moisture similar to UFD curly magic or CR curl maker?
I am so glad you and achia had videos today, such a great end to my day! Your faces and commentary were hilarious! You're always yourself of course, but it felt like your silly side came out a little more, idk. When I saw the stuff foam up I made an "oh shit" face right wit you sis. I'm not interested in curlmix, but the end results looked great on you! I do plan on buying NLS custard and ecoslay flax gel during BF. I'd love to hear your list for BF, both hair and non haircare, if you have one (repurchases or new interests).
Lmao that foam caught me off guard so bad 🤣 I’m definitely gonna do a BF list. I’m still debating on a few items but I’ll probably put it up a few days before BF.
I need to know how to get rid of frizz, your curls are so pretty and defined
Frizz can be caused by the hair being hydrated or just naturally your hair. I know that if I don't use heavier products or a gel, even though my hair is moisturized because I deep condition my hair every week, and work out, my hair will always turn to frizz but I use heavier products or gels to minimize the frizz.

@@keturahclark6495 Butters are heavy. Shea butter, mango butter, coco butter. But I find that Shea butter surprisingly on natural hair can be dulling. But that's if you need to seal your hair. But heavier products like curl creams are great because they offer moisture and, definition, and shine. I honestly haven't used a oil to seal in a while because I find I don't need to. I wet style my hair so it's on soak and wet hair and the leave in or curl cream seals that moisture in and if I want additional hold I go in with my gel. This adds some weight and smooths my hair down. I know everyone mentions light weight product for volume but using light weight products will have your hair frizzy and much quickly too. Yes curly hair is naturally frizzy but with the right amount of weight and hold it will tame💯

Mad curls always made me wanna try curlmix but my hair does not like flaxseed gels. They ball up in my hand and don’t give me hold so I won’t throw my money over to curlmix even though I want all the different scents
I feel that! Definitely not worth putting out more coin. The different scents are tempting though. I’m already debating which one I’ll get next 🤣 tfw!!!
