As a german, where the language itself is already split up into multiple dialects of which i know a few, i am able to somewhat understand this fiction dialect of german.
I didn't expect Waffentragen when they wrote Waffenträger, but generally yeah, it still sounds german, or at least germanic. Made me feel like I am listening to a swedish song.
i dont know german but can you read the lyrics at the same time? im curious if it makes sense then just write waffentrager lyrics it will pop up
@@ScrubsSwaggin The song itself has no real meaning since it's fiction, but i am able to read it because it uses a very similar (not exactly the same) grammar style and it more or less looks like how people would say their words in different dialects. one word for example is "sonnen" which means to sunbathe, but could be a dialect where instead of an "l" they move a bit towards an "n".
@@ScrubsSwaggin roughly every line cotains at least 1 real german word and based on that word you can imagin the context, of cause it involves a lot of fantasy. I think it feels a bit like listening to someone having a thick irish accent, It sounds like gibberish but if you try hard enough you can make out some words and based on that words you can figure out what he is trying to say.
I like to fantasize that this is a modern Austro-Hungarian language. Which greatly mutated due to the assimilation of many Slavic peoples.

To thos confuse, this song is from an ost of "world of tank" "hyperion event". Waffentrenger is actualy a tank that is vastly made up by "wot". for a while it was an overpowered véhicule and it got deleted at some point. (Almost ten years ago) it finaly came back to the game with this event as a boss the player could control. With it come this ost.

So, this song fascinates me, whenever I'm listening to it, it feels like there is supposed to be a deeper meaning behind it. So I decided to translate this fantasy song into something that makes sense based on the lyrics/pronounciation and based on what people imagin a fantasy third Reich would be.
Original:

German interpretation:
1.Wir werden es ihnen zeigen

English Translation:
1.We will show it to them
2.They will fall before us
3.Everyone will be armed
4.Losses in battle don't matter
5.We will get the defectors back
6.Hardend throught fought battle
7.Punish the objectors

"Waffentragen" means "to carry weapons/guns" I translated it with "be armed".
"Feigling die entfallen" would be translated into "cowards who don't participate in the battle/war" based on the context, I thought it might refer to "Dienstplicht Verweigerer" which refer to people who refuse to join the army if they had been drafted.
In line 5 and 7 I had to use google translate because I didn't know the english term for "Überläufer" und "Dienstplicht Verweigerer".
Overall agree but I got alternatives for 5 and 7.
5 could also mean "Zu laufen wie gewiesen" which transalres to "to march as ordered"
and imo a better translation for 7 could be "Behemmen Fremde die einfallen" with "Behemmen" coming from "hemmen". That would then translate to english as roughly "hinder the strangers that are invading".
Would turn the meaning of the song completely into a tale of desperate/total defense instead of one also dealing with defectors.

Also to note, "Waffentrãger" here references the E-100 Waffenträger tank from World of Tanks. This song was created for an event that was specifically about this tank temporarily returning to the game after it was removed for being incredibly overpowered.

the problem is that this song isnt actual german and just gibberish that sounds german so there isnt any sense in the lyrics so you cant translate them
