I was the one that posted on Reddit that DD6 felt like DD3 and that Boundless needs to mix up the boss battles like other gotcha games do. Of course the comments were that I just sucked and DD6 is so easy. Glad I am not the only one that has the DD3 vibe from it.
I brought in RHULK and Robbie and those two carried the open nodes w the bleeds while marvel tanked. Robbie is a MUST. And you’re absolutely right. Every DD has that bottleneck node. Remember the great unkillable Emma back on DD5 🤣🤣🤣. Or was that 4? It’s been so long apoc was our DD5.5
I just finished the first node without Apoc. THAT felt like DD3. Took almost a month for one node. Getting closer to having Apoc ready with the passes.
Worst thing I see right away is the node rewards. Half of an elite 5 and 1.25 million in gold?? That is insane, especially after doing 14+ attacks! That would work for maybe DD2 smh
Assuming you're taking Robbie, 2099 does at least offer bleeds for him. But it really comes down to bio vs skill for 2099 or Shang. Whichever you can spare, that's who I'd take.
Swarm was a must in DD6 City for me. Got through the 3 nodes in 5 days with limited refreshes. Had Shung-Chi too. He was good when he got his Ultimate off, but dies early often.
Dark dimensions, to me, have never been fun…we spend money, time and in game resources to build our characters to constantly fight enemies with inflated stats…like how do we really know how powerful our characters really are?
All the DDs feel like a lazy game mode with little to no effort or thought put into them. Add existing characters, ramp up their health and damage, run simulations and that’s it. It’s not fun, it’s just grinding to get an S tier character. I don’t put much effort into my runs, I know what I’m doing, I go do what I can each day and that’s it. Sometimes it’s a lot other times it’s not, I don’t care. I’m not going to let Boundless, well the Saudis now, make me feel frustrated on a shit game mode that’s not fun. It’s just a step above blitz, and blitz is fn terrible.

The last global node in DD5 has that same feeling, with the Doom and 2 Mr Sinisters on last wave

I use Rebirth for the Global nodes in DD5. They get through it pretty easily.

In global... go in, window special, ult with Apoc, see if Doom's Ult is up, put on basic auto.... go back to grinding for city toons. DD3 for sure.

Cosmic wasn’t bad for me till this last one node 1 took me 2 attempts, node 2 took me 4 but this node took me 10 attempts
Im crawling thru that final cosmic node. Question is Shang better than 2099 for city?
