i have never seen a stall so long that skadi gets tired of singing
This is my first time seeing "unlimited duration" skill end...
if I remember correctly "infinite duration" skills are technically programmed to just be an hour or two long. there were videos of people doing stalling stuff long enough for thorns skill meter to run out years ago
you can see at least for manual activation ones like Surtr and thorns it doesn't actually stop the skill it just allows you to click the button again which doesn't do anything
it looks like for auto skills like skadi though it does actually make it stop momentarily lol

As soon as I heard this event had multi-hour stalls on high difficulty I knew this was coming. Surtr's ultimate trial, the true test of her immortality.

Imagine if Skadi's skill failing caused this run to end.
Only in Pinch Out have I seen Surtr skill activated twice without her being Retreated lol.
She should just do triple true damage from the second activation because its pretty obv at this point that we're stuck dancing for a while now.

This embodies everything beautiful about Blemichi's videos. Truly amazing. I don't have that kind of heal, so I had to settle for stall killing them with Surtr's 1st skill plus Ifrit 3rd and Sora 2nd having a field day. In retrospec, it was 'faster' than having Skadi 2nd and Ifrit 2nd, but my sanity, I doubt, will ever recover from it...

@@sirki2885actually it is still infinite. The problem is visual bug. In the video, you can see Surtr still does 1k dmg even though her sp recharge.
Not as infinite as you think! When mine ran out her max HP dropped back to normal and she died. Had to redeploy her.

I always forget to ask on your videos, but what mod do you use on Saria for this? It's also staggering seeing that outside of Skadi none of the healers are max level, just module range, yet still strong enough to do this. I can't seem to ever pull it off even with some like Nearl being max, maxed.
Ah, and in before I forget, can Lumen and Ptilopsis be replaced, or no do I need to up their E2 priority? :D
Saria mod is GUA-X, yes lumen and ptilopsis can be replace and yeah they're worth to be e2

Goddamn! I can usually do these SJWD runs (still have to rent Surtr), but for whatever reason, she just can't stay alive for me here. I even removed and swapped some risks so that I'm at 600 without enemy dmg boosts and without the 7 OP limit, plus I added Warfarin S1 into the mix and my defenders and medics are lvl 75...
The only thing that might be the issue is that my Nearl is S1lvl7 and Saria is S1M2, but Warfarin should more than make up for that, right?
Anyway, great clear and a great meme clear as always :)
Update: Tried it again this morning (605 risk, 7 op limit) and got it first try. As the stun punch mech got close I activated Ptilopsis to keep Surtr healed, but then the punchy guy just walked past her and started pummeling Saria! After I finished the run, I tried it 4 more times up to the punch mech part and he walked past Surtr every time and she survived. I guess that did me in yesterday.
On a side note, my Skalter is lvl 75 so Surtr did slightly less damage. On my successful run I ended up with 2 technicians and a bubble boy just barely getting blocked by Nearl on her right side so I got to watch her bonk them all to death VERY SLOWLY as Surtr chipped away at the mechs :D

Shining higher attack,shield and auto skill so better for AFK
NG isnt worth it, if theres no arts nuke then ptilo is always better
Ptilo and Skalter are ones to heal the rest of the squad
Single target there is more important
Warfarin S1 is better and maybe cheaper to raise?
(ok Shining atk is better but both have auto skill : S1 for Warfarin and S2 for Shining and Warfarin's S1 heals more beacause it heal a % of the target HP and the target is always Surtr with aroound 8000HP)
Btw how many hour this is actually take ? And how much overheat phone or pc you use

hmm, why didn't you take the tag that disable the right side tiles? Does that change the enemy pathing?

This is fascinating. Both "infinite duration" skills ran out and had to reactivate. You learn something new every day. And now I am looking forward to the day Shining graces me with her presence. Nearl should be easier. In theory. For this setup, anyway.
I always wondered what would happen. I noticed Thorns' bar would get lower as well, but a stage never lasted long enough to fully drain. Now we see they're not actually infinite :P
the only units from this setup i do not have are (Skalter, Seileach, Bagpipe) any suggestions for replacement? I know Seileach can be replaced with Elysium.
and I can borrow one op. So which one should I borrow and which replace? Skalter or Bagpipe?

well you can use this strat and remove Dorothy -2 HP (it will take 10 but you still have 610). The reward is basically just event reward (shop} and skin + new 1 star robo. (+medal if that is also your concern).
