Many thanks for the excellent ringing, but what a great exemplar in other ways too. Everyone's hands go straight onto the tail-ends after leaving the sallies at handstroke: no waving around or catching the tail-end midway up its ascent. Everyone tucks the tail-end into their thumb-webs, and the tail-ends never get caught in the fingers which grasp the sallies. And of course these are the keys to controlling the bell at both strokes, and to the great striking which follows. I'm using the video to practice my handbell ringing by moving my hands in time with the bells - but what a great video to share around the tower and get us all thinking about how we can improve our ringing too! Many thanks, JOHN HARTLEY
@RingerThomas The ringer other third is Esther Perrins. These bells are a carbon copy of Canterbury including a flat 6 and extra treble. The light 10 are sensational and the acoustics in the ring8ng room are fantastic. My dad hung these in 1986 for Whitechapel. I think they are better than the 12 at St Andrews but it is because I feel St Andrews is a great 10 but simply don't sound as good as a 12.
Excellent ringing and educational to try to follow. Do you have a plain course version where you can see all 6 ropes like this? If not, could you do one as this is so helpful to learners.
Amazing, has really helped me. I can see all the bells. Perfect x

This video was very educational. It showed me the ropesight for Bob Minor and also showed how the dodges worked. I mostly followed the woman on the 3.
Now I can conduct Bob Minor and did a quarter of it yesterday.
