Pretty good deep cuts by Ratt from 'Out of the cellar' (1984)... people forget what a great band they were. (The late) guitarist Robbin Crosby does not get enough credit for his work in Ratt for sure... In the early days, he was the band's riff master and key songwriter... It was unfortunate that guitarist Warren DeMartini emerged as the better player of the 2, and that would push Crosby out of the spotlight early on... That was what led Robbin Crosby into heroin and alcohol abuse to the point where he was no longer contributing in the studio and out of Ratt by 1990... In the peak of Ratt's career, the 2 members who founded the band were gone - lead singer Stephen Pearcy was either missing in the studio or drinking heavily during concerts (or chasing girls), while Robbin Crosby was also out of sight and out of mind in his addiction... and there was no one left who could galvanize and lead Ratt forward. Drummer Bobby Blotzer and bassist Juan Croucier were at odds and it was just not a good band situation... Stephen Pearcy had enough by 1992 and quit Ratt to form his own band Arcade, which went nowhere after 1 album. Robbin Crosby became afflicted w/ AIDS and passed away by 2002... Ratt could never get it together again. Bassist Juan Croucier admitted that Robbin Crosby's problems led directly to the band's demise, because he was the band's leader and Ratt could not function without his leadership.
Ratt's 1st 3 releases were by far their best... The 1983 'Ratt' EP was just a work of art! They showed everyone what the band was capable of on a record... 'Out of the cellar' (1984) was the big hit w/ 'Round & round'... 'Back for more'... 'Wanted man'... 🔥🔥🤘🤘 Then, we got 'Invasion of your privacy' (1985) which is a double platinum seller now... another stellar record. Hits like "You're in love"... 'Lay it down'... and also great cuts like - 'Never use love'... 'Give it all'... 🔥🔥
Yes, once "Round and Round" hit the radio stations (1984), not even a "well-established" hard rock/metal band could top them at that time. However, it was a shame that the "casual" fans didn't know that pretty much every track from the "Out of the Cellar" album was a banger. They all viewed Ratt as a one hit wonder band until "You're in Love" and "Lay it Down" hit radio stations in 1985.
💿 truly ratt is a great rock band and their songs are like out of this world. my all time favorite cd by ratt is detonator and my favorite song by ratt is nobody rides for free. Just want to say thank you for doing this reaction and I know it's going to be good just like your other reactions too.
Now you're speaking my language. My first concert was RATT opening for Bon Jovi many moons ago in Tulsa. RATT is probably one of my favs of all time - so many great songs. Have you ever watched the documentary 'Heavy Metal Parking Lot'? They have a where are they now follow up video as well. Worth checking out. Keep up the great work!
No doubt Crosby was the balls of the band. He was no slouch, just different style than Warren but they blended beautifully. Beau Hill running out Crosby was a dis service. Another great band ran like shit by a record company. By the way, Tommy Lee don't hold a candle to Bobby Blitzers ass. Blotzer could bring it.
Ratt... one of the greatest band of the 80s and one of the most favorite...
Entire album is 🔥
RATT is an underrated band ...WHICH I LOVE THIS ALBUM

Infestation is better than their Debut ,Reach for the Sky & Detonator....Easily.
Been a fan since 85.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE seeing people reacting to RATT!!!
Very Rhythmic and Groovy, like a lot of their songs!
Ratt was an incredibly talented band....they have a lot of bangers!🤟🤟🤟
Ratt was just as popular as Motley Crue at one point in the early 80s.

@@lucypoopies I agree. It's a shame they weren't bigger. Kind of like Dokken
For about 2 minutes.
Their sales went down each album after the debut.
@@ernieherrera1034 I felt the same about Slaughter and Enuff Z Nuff.
@@GlamprinceRockking Slaughter had their day in the late '80s, I don't know if enuffznuff ever really had there day.
I'll leave the morning after is indeed a masterpiece and the first time i heard the song, my reaction was "Wow"....blown away! Thanks!
Born in 1970 if you didn’t live the 80’s is indescribable
Thanks for doing some of their underrated tunes ; )
The whole albums kicks ass. My favorites are wanted man, scene of the crime, in your direction, and you're in trouble. Nice review.
Ratt n Roll!
Great guitar work. Warren demartini was one of greats from the 80s. He never did the 2 handed tapping that everone did in the 80s.

YO PURO RATT AUNQUE NO ENTIENDO INGLES
Ratt was better than Mötley Crüe
Did they come out with a new album lol
Infestation is their best album since Dancing Undercover.
That's a random question 😂
