it's a good explanation, but the Geotechnical design part should be done using the unfactored load (proportioning the area of the pad) and the structural design (Depth determination, rebar design) part will be done using the factored load. so u.ve only used unfactored load for both designs. which is not practical.
There is no any rules to assume the length. But there is one thing to keep in mind i.e. our length should be more than the center to center distance between the column. Here i have taken length as 6 but you can redesign the section taking length as 7 or more. So that you will get favourable value of width.
There are 2 isolated footing of size 2184 x 2184 & 1905 x 1905, & column distance is 3182. We constructed well but by mistake the well is 50cm inside the footing due to which the footing will be 50 cm shorter. Will the shifting of mesh is feasible?- it causes eccentricity. Wht we can we do for it. Another option i thought is making it combined footing. In this case wht would be the size & thickness of footing? Which option do u recommend. Please give me the solution.
Hello dear, In the beginning of step 3 we need to find share force in order to calculate bending moment at different sections. And after calculating the BM we actually need the SF at 1st and 2nd point of contraflexture. And when you continue watching the video you will find tha while applying one way share check and design of bending tension in longitudinal value we have multiplied tha value with the factor of safety. And step 2 is just the simple SF and BMD which we have studied in SOM. Hope you got my points. Have a nice day.
Bro The Total Load at 11:25 is 3080 KN, u took 2800
be aware guys
Upward soil pressure is 179.48 KN/m^2
be aware guys
Unit at 11:45 is KN/m^2
be aware guys
There should be load per length of footing (not /width) for udl diagram
be aware guys
Crystal clear explanation sir loved it☺️
Sir, very good explanation watching at 2023 March 27
Sir . At 24:35 , how you solve that equation, plz tell me sir...
2021 , I'm watching it , thank you , very helpful

Very helpful, thank you!
is the shear force diagram correct? I think it is reverse.
Specify servicebility limit state❤❤❤❤
What a clear pronounsation (twelve hundred for thousand hundred)
😅😅😅😅😁
15:45 You haven't miltiplied by distance for calculating SF at A just right of A
Sorry for this. But you can get exact answer by following your step.
great explaination sir :) thank u
LET THE CG OF THE COLUMN LOAD CG OF FOOTING COINCOID AT DISTANCE X FROM THE CENTER OF COLUMN A FOR FINDING X - = 12OOX0+1600X4/(1200+1600)
Dimension of footing kaise calculate kara?
Thankyou so much sir
Can you please tell on what basis you are assuming the length as 6m

SHEAR CHECK FOR ONE AND 2 WAY AND LONGITUDINAL DESIGN ?
Hello dear,
Thanks for your comment.
I Will be uploading that video tomorrow. Stay connected with with civil learning online.
Have a nice day.
Part 2 is here:

Better to go with combined footing
Isme pura question nhi hai kya
I have uploaded part of it too.
Sir total load 2800 kio lyia 3080 kio nhi lyia
Sir u r from
Chandigarh
X=2.08
U have not multiplied column load with factor of safety to find net upward pressure
It's multiplied in further step.
Follow the step as shown in the video. It's going to be beneficial.
Sf and Bm are not clear
Sf calculation k liy load ko Factor kyu ni kiya?
