How much clutch fluid does it takes?

I have a 1993 intruder. The clutch now has all play and no catch to it. Just a loose clutch pedal. When shift into gear, I can’t shift out and the bike rolls forward while clutch is fully engaged. Any tips??

Assuming you had clutch peddle before you started, sounds like you have air in the line. When you bleed it, you have to be careful you don't suck air in by keeping the fluid in the reservoir. Bleed it again but be sure you don't let the reservoir run dry.

Thanks a lot for the video! I realized today that my clutch wasn't going all the way in (as if the cord shrunk a bit!). I'm definitely going to try this as soon as I get some clutch fluid. Is Dot 4 brake fluid the same for hydraulic clutch fluid? Internet is giving me different answers, hehe. Cheers and have a good day.

Did you ever figure out the issue with your clutch ? I have the VS 800 and my clutch is disengaging completely when the engine gets hot. I have bleed the system till I'm blue in the face. Clutch plates have been replaced. Dealer wanted to replace the entire trans.

I too have a 95 VS800 Intruder with less than 14,000 miles on it. If I get on the throttle a bit hard, I can feel the clutch slipping a bit. Any thoughts on what may be the problem?

      Clutch springs

@@azazelakira12 That’s exactly what it was. The pads looked good but the springs were too compressed to function properly. I replaced the whole clutch package, springs, pads and plates and it runs like a champ!👍🏻

This could have been presented in one third the time, by proper preparation before recording.
The bike should have been protected from the brake fluid mist from the airgun, and any possible drips.

Brake fluid doesn't hurt anything and can be used as a cleaner on many parts of the bike.
