if I said explanatory fiction is a statement made to explain a cause of something that happens in life hypothetically.
    would that be right???

Hmmm - If i'm following you right, then no. Explanatory fiction is something 'fake' made up to explain something real. Often it involves a hypothetical construct that is in turn used to be the cause of something real. A non-controversial example is Freud's ego, superego, and id. They were 'made up' and in turn used to explain behavior - an explanatory fiction. More controversially, psychology is FILLED with both hypothetical constructs and explanatory fictions. Also look up 'reification' (in short - making something real, that isn't).
      Does this help?
