    Nick, I just want to say when I started to watch you, you came off a little weird. I have watched many presentations, not only have you gotten better, but I feel your documentations are priceless, meaning more informed, you break it down to us rookies as we continue to grow. I am really staring to enjoy your videos more as they are very educational and more so you break it down to like 2nd grade levels so new hobbists getting into this would really understand. I just bought 2 smart receivers and just starting to get controllers out in the open instead of running 70 miles of cord and then props dont work. Thank you. I hope to get smart like you and make my shows better on my You Tube Channel. Lary Nilmr.

    Holly Molly! This last set of videos was so on point! Thank you for putting these out. The Falcon guys should be sponsoring you. I appreciate your videos. The editing is on point and I can tell a lot of effort is put into to them. Good job!

    Question
    At min 18:21 you show a receiver chan. Would all the srx1 boards have the dial set to A in this situation?

    Have you had issues with chaining the new V5 smart receivers? I chained two of them Controller->A->B and noticed the B controller reported "over current" every time. Switch out receivers and still had the same issue. BTW - thanks for the great videos!

      Hmm, I haven't had that exact issue, but I do know the new receivers have been a little glitchy in other ways for me. How did it report "over current" to you? Was it on the controller's interface it said that?

    • @martinwilde777
      @martinwilde777 9 часов назад

      @How2Pixel On the status page of the controller where you see the "fuse" values, instead of the normal gray color for an active controller, all 4 of the fuses were orange in color and if you hovered over them it said "high current". Clicking on Visualize you see crazy values for the voltage/current/temp. Thus something is wrong. When I swapped the receivers (A to B and B to A), nothing changed. I made sure I was running the latest FW for the receivers. Talked to the xVideo zoom room folks and they had not seen it also. Funny the receivers worked perfect, just wacky values for the B receiver.

    So, you don't need to add an ip address for the receivers in xlights? Just connect them to the F16 and setup the tab for smart receivers and that's it?

    • @How2Pixel
      @How2Pixel  2 месяца назад +1

      Yep, that's correct! That's because the receivers technically aren't controllers and they can't work without a main controller telling them what to do.

    i'm wondering if Nick or someone might be able to help me with a prop problem. i have the F48v5 and struggling with figuring out how to setup my mega tree with the the receivers. I have, basically, 3 receivers attached to Port 1 ... (the first is an SRx2 in the chain attached to an SRx1 v5) in a single chain. I have a mega tree with 10 strands of 100 pixels but when i add it to systems it's forced onto all "A" Ports. I need some of the tree on receiver A ports, some on B ports and some on C ports.

    Awesome video, thanks! Question for you, I have an SRx2 and followed your instructions, so I have a 17A and 17B. However when I run a test on just 17A, both of the stands of lights come up. I have 50 pixels hooked up to 17A and 17B. Is that normal for falcon to do that? I haven't done the same thing on Xlights yet, wanted to make sure it worked on falcon before I did that, thank you in advance!

      Glad the video was helpful! When you say you ran a test, how did you run it? Did you use the controller's web interface? Or the test button on the controller or receiver? Usually those tests will turn on all the lights unless you uncheck certain ports so they don't light up in the test page.

      @@How2Pixel I ran a test using the Falcon Controllers web interface and only checked 17A, leaving 17B unchecked. For whatever reason it turned on both sets of pixels. If Im doing it correct it should only turn on the 50 pixels for 17A. Im wondering if this is just a falcon thing and maybe this being done in Xlights will separate them.

    Hello, I am setting up a Falcon F16v5 and for the MegaTree it is running on the Falcon SRX4. Currently, the megatree runs on 8 ports on the SRX4 (Channel 17-24) (120 Pixel per channel). The Star is on Channel 25 (90 pixels), I would like to be able to run two singing faces off the SRX4 on Channel 26 & 27 but even though they are 150 pixels each and the Xlights and Falcon Software shows 150, I am only lighting up 120 pixels on the faces, not to mention I have bleed over from the tree during the test function to the faces, any ideas? One more thing, do you have a video that explains when to use cascades length or Cascade down ports (True/False). Trying to figure out what those are used for. Thank you

    Do you have a video on how to set up a mega tree with 2 receivers i tried to daisy chain it but either half light up or it lights up backwards. I can make it work if i run 2 cat 5 cables. When i drag the tree on the visualizer it takes up 17-24 automatically and it doesn't let me set up a B option for it

    I’ve watched almost all the falcon F16 V5 videos you have made. I have made the animations in Xlights and have uploaded them to the F16, But it does not play or show any lights or animations. I can get it to count pixels and do the test animations so I know it’s wired correctly. How do I trigger my animations?

    • @How2Pixel
      @How2Pixel  4 месяца назад

      When you say you uploaded the sequences to the F16v5, does that mean it's running in master or standalone mode? I just wanted to make sure I understand the nature of the problem first.

      @@How2Pixel it was running in master mode. I ended up figuring it out after doing more research. But I do have another question. I’m not using this for any Christmas light show, but I need a computer to trigger a specific light show I have made once it receives a certain action. Do you have a video on triggering light shows?
