They practice their vocals with a metronome so they can hear themselves and for their dancing to hear their steps. In an interview for a Japanese show they said that with the metronome they can tell right away who and when they messed up While they are dancing. That right there is dedication to their craft. This is why they are in sync while they dance. Their individual dance performance videos are basically them showcasing their skills. They can dance to any genre and style.

I must say that Tippy Toes is supposed to be like a teaser and not showing everything in the first song, that's also the reason why some people didn't vibe with that song and leaned more towards Mascara. About Japan and hip hop, it is one of the most successful genres there and it's influenced by old school Hip hop. XG and Hikaru from Kepler (former XG member and also from Avex) represent this quite well with their dance and rap style.

I felt the opposite way. I didn't care for Mascara and I preferred Tippy Toes. But XG should pivot to harder hip hop tbh. So they can really show off their rap AND Juria's/Chisa's vocals. Their runs are so good
People sleep on XG because they are not Korean. They are not famous because they have been blackballed, I'm not going to get into it because I get called out for stating facts. There are alot of xenophobic and anti XG people in every XG content, specially in their Korean show performances. All you have to do is hit translate on those Hangul messages. You better start digging on Japanese Hip Hop in general.. Mostly are dope for the rap part and as for dancing, they stayed true to what Hiphop stands for. Even the OG's going back and forth to judge in events and handle classes.
