Love the simplicity and the charm - "If you do not have a sieve, pass it through a sieve" was sweet. Wish the amount of flour was more clear but I'm gonna try this anyway! I guess I'll start with just one Greek yogurt and one cup of flour. Wish me luck!
In Spanish we have several words "tamizador", "cernidor" and "colador". Basically, all the tools sieve, sift or stalk. It's a very subtle difference, but Esbieta expresses herself perfectly well.

Yes the northern Irish make ,soda farls this way, instead of yoghurt, vinegar in a glass of milk, or buttermilk , if you only have plain flour you must add bicarbonate of soda to the flour, thanks I will try your way🇮🇪🧸🧸
Yes you are bang on, very similar to soda farls main difference is coating the pan with oil whereas in Northern Ireland we sprinkle flour in pan and dry fry, great recipe and very easy to make a keeper for sure, many thanks to the poster.
Maggie May Yes but you would have to add vinegar to replace the acid in yogurt (the bubbles / holes in the bread come from the baking soda in the flour combining with the acid of the yogurt)
There are subtitles available in English - just in case - you can turn it on in RUclips settings and leave it as default or in the options in the video...
If you look through the comments you will find a recipe too: 2:1 ratio of self-rising flour to warmed yogurt, bring the dough together and make the rolls, let them rest while the pan heats, bake 8-10 min per side in preheated covered pan on low, basically (flipping them for a minute on each side with the lid off at the end to let them dry). Let them rest for a few minutes before eating. Easy.
I saw this video four days ago and made this bread twice. I ate the first set in one sitting. I just made the second batch an hour ago. I used gluten free flour both times and it still turned out great. The second time I had to alter it because I ran out of yogurt. It was still great. I Thank you for this.
This morning I tried the recipe using the English instructions provided in the comments Overall I enioyed making them, I do have comments: I will use 1 cup yogurt to 1.5 cups self-rising flour next time. I will leave extra flour only for when kneading the dough. The mix was very dry with 2 cups flour and I had to add more yogurt. I think this affected the texture. I will use medium low heat to cook them next time. Mine turned out burned at medium heat. So lower heat is a must with my stove. I will make these again with my mentionned adjustments.
Great idea, especially at a time like this when there is panic buying and bread shortages. I wish I'd seen this before I bought my breadmaking machine.
Your bread machine is still a good investment, as long as it doesn’t end up at the back of a cupboard. She does say (according to the translation) that the flour has salt in it, which makes it 3 ingredients, and tbh a good loaf of bread only requires 4, flour, water, salt, yeast. You don’t need to add any of the sugar and fats that many bread making recipes list. For a small white loaf in your machine: 400g of strong white bread flour, 260g of water, 8g salt, one sachet (7g) of dried yeast. Set to it’s basic white bread recipe and remove when baked, around 3-4 hours, depending on machine. The ingredients take about a minute to weigh and then you just push the start button to get a loaf a few hours later. If your machine has a delayed start timer, then it’s even more useful. Nothing wrong with her quick bread, but it is a quite different type of bread to a standard yeasted type.
Hope this helps all my American friends: 260 g flour 1 c =125 g 2c = 250 g To get the the full 260 g you will need an additional 1 1/4 tbsp. So, to sum it up, the exact measurement of flour required will be: 2 cups + 4 1/2 tbsp. 250 g Yogurt 2.06 cups (I add 1 1/ 2 to 2 tbsp more) Pour yogurt in a (micro safe) bowl Heat in microwave until temp is about 38°C or 100.4° Fahrenheit *TO MAKE SELF RISING FLOUR: For every (1) cup of all-purpose flour: 1-1/2 tsp of baking powder 1/4 teaspoon of salt. *Be sure to sieve flour! Now, start mixing and with your hand, create a ball. It will be pretty sticky, but don’t worry, as you will not be kneading it. Flour your work surface, scoop out ball from bowl. Roll it into a log shape, and divide into six even pieces. Roll each piece in a ball, adding a light sprinkle of flour as needed. Press down balls till they are about an inch in thickness. Let them rest for at least 15 minutes. 6-8 minutes before, preheat pan on low heat. Lightly brush pan with oil. Place muffins in pan, leaving room between each muffin. (Do not crowd pan) Place fitted lid on pan, and cook for 10 minutes, then turn them and cook another 10 minutes. After each side has cooked for 10 minutes, remove lid and cook for 1 minute on each side to remove any additional moisture on muffins. Keep in mind, every pan and stove is different, so is the cook time. Be patient, as it can a while to cook muffins all the way thru. Once removed from pan, let rest for at least 20 min., as they will still be cooking, even off the heat. *Just a suggestion, if you have an electric skillet with a lid use it! My muffins come out great in my electric pan, as you can control the heat much better and evenly. I even use when I make my authentic English muffins. Goos luck! 👍🏻😄

Genial!

Good luck

@@sandracasagrande3825 Hola. Mira las explicaciones de Mary C.
How much flour did you use?
@@laragreene8328 You make this recipe with 2 cups of Self rising flour. If you have regular flour then you will use 2 cups of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt 😊
@@sandracasagrande3825
Ingredients:
Two 8 ounce containers of plain Greek yogurt
2 Cups of self rising flour
(self rising flour already contains salt, baking soda/ baking powder)
In a bowl add the two yogurts then heat the yogurt for 1 minute in the microwave or on the stovetop
Sift in the flour
Inside bowl make dough into a big ball with your hands
Sprinkle flour on table and knead dough with your hands
Divide dough into 6 pieces and shape into balls add a little flour to your hands to make it easier to shape them
Flatten the balls until they are
1 centimeter in thickness
Let them rest for 10-15 minutes
Heat frying pan on low heat
Spread a little oil into the pan
Put the rolls in the pan 4 at a time
Cover them with the lid and cook for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes flip the rolls on the other side and cover with the lid and continue to cook for an additional 10 minutes (remember the fire has to be low)
Remove the lid and let rolls dry for 1 minute per side.
Remove from the pan and let rest for 15 minutes so it can continue to cook. Then it's ready to eat 😊
Thanks for the English subtitles, they were very helpful. :)
moonbladem but didnt say how much flour

Yes the northern Irish make ,soda farls this way, instead of yoghurt, vinegar in a glass of milk, or buttermilk , if you only have plain flour you must add bicarbonate of soda to the flour, thanks I will try your way🇮🇪🧸🧸
Do you think I can substitute for plant based milk. Allergic to lacto products!
santa mulligan thank you because I do not drink milk. Not good for my stomack
Yes you are bang on, very similar to soda farls main difference is coating the pan with oil whereas in Northern Ireland we sprinkle flour in pan and dry fry, great recipe and very easy to make a keeper for sure, many thanks to the poster.
Stephenrobertboyd Boyd haha look forward to your video chef

Yes but you would have to add vinegar to replace the acid in yogurt (the bubbles / holes in the bread come from the baking soda in the flour combining with the acid of the yogurt)
I did not understand a word and I can make this. Thank you great video.
Easy.
You didn't understand? Funny, I understood every word loud and clear.

Definitivamente me encantó y me quedo aquí 💗
@@adrimilanaaguilar6458 Good
Qué delicia me encanta.

I saw this video four days ago and made this bread twice. I ate the first set in one sitting. I just made the second batch an hour ago. I used gluten free flour both times and it still turned out great. The second time I had to alter it because I ran out of yogurt. It was still great. I Thank you for this.
This morning I tried the recipe using the English instructions provided in the comments
Overall I enioyed making them, I do have comments:
I will use 1 cup yogurt to 1.5 cups self-rising flour next time.
Thank for your amounts and tips, much appreciated, I will try it just as you say.
she did say low heat... thanks for the flour tip :) I wonder if elevation affects it any...?
Great idea, especially at a time like this when there is panic buying and bread shortages. I wish I'd seen this before I bought my breadmaking machine.
O where are the bread shortages?ours is toilet paper..🤣🤣

@@RodrigoPerez-cw7in No he podido experimentar todavía. Cuando los haga te comento los resultados. Saludos.
I love this recipe and will try it once I can eat bread again. She has a wonderful presentation.
Hope this helps all my American friends:
260 g flour
1 c =125 g
2c = 250 g
To get the the full 260 g you will need an additional 1 1/4 tbsp.
So, to sum it up, the exact measurement of flour required will be: 2 cups + 4 1/2 tbsp.
250 g Yogurt
2.06 cups
(I add 1 1/
2 to 2 tbsp more)
Pour yogurt in a (micro safe) bowl
Heat in microwave until temp
is about 38°C or
100.4° Fahrenheit
*TO MAKE SELF RISING FLOUR:
For every (1) cup of all-purpose flour:
1-1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt.
(Do not crowd pan)
Place fitted lid on pan, and cook for 10 minutes, then turn them and cook another 10 minutes.
Goos luck! 👍🏻😄
Thank you, it's much appreciated 👍🏻
