1:13:52 1:16:12 I think I'm currently going through the same thing. I think in a way I'm mad atGod too, because of my mom's unhappy life. If anyone here is as wise and reIigious as the reverend, I think I could use someone to talk to. I also have reIigious OCD.
I'm not as smart as a reverend. But I've had reasons to doubt, I've questioned, I've gotten mad, I've given him an earful. Then I remember the day we had a face to face talk when I was 3. Apparently when a 3 year old begs to go back to heaven to get a new mommy instead of the one I got, and you hold your breath, and slow your heartbeat... God pays attention after that. Knowing I'd doubt his identity, he even brought an angel with Him as proof of who He is. He showed me that my future, after I move away from home would be worth the wait. I did end up messing that up, “free will” messed that up. I thought my future would happen because he showed me something. I didn't understand my bad choice would ruin it. But that's another story. God is real, I've conversed with Him, once. Talk to Him. Start with the Lord's prayer, then tell Him what you're feeling, ask for a sign that He still loves you. Then wait and watch for a sign. My momma told me a story that might help. There once was a man that was a good Christian, went to church every week, prayed 3 times a day, said grace at every meal, volunteered at church, etcetera. The local news reported heavy rains would be coming in a day, they're not sure the dam will hold. Everyone should evacuate the town, and head to higher ground. The devout man got down on his knees and prayed. The rains started. The sheriff went door to door telling people to evacuate now. The man said he's been praying, and God will save him. The rain got worse, the dam broke, the flood waters came up to the first floor. The devout man prayed. A volunteer came by in a row boat, begged the man to come with him. He said I've been praying, and God will save me. The rain got worse, the man is up on his roof praying. A helicopter came by to rescue him. He said he's been praying and God will save him. The water was up to the man's chin, and he prayed and asked God how could You forsake me? I'm devout, I pray, I volunteer, I do everything I can to please You. How could you let me die this way? Directly over the man's house the sky open up, the sun shone thru, and God's voice said my child, I've never forsaken you, I've never left you. I sent the news crew so you would see the warning. I sent the sheriff to warn you. I sent the row boat to get you. I sent a helicopter to get you. What more do you want from Me My child? I tried to save you. Moral of the story... When you pray, pay attention to the answers God sends you. Ask for a guardian angel to help you with your problems. That you need guidance, and assistance. That you need to feel God's love surrounding you, that you need a hug from an angel. Or if you need protection. Just remember the Bible also says God helps those that help themselves. I hope I've helped in some way. Think of me as the news broadcast of the warning. Just don't tell the helicopter to go away. Recognize help when you see it. May God bless, and protect you. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 🧓☮️❤🖖🙏
I’m not sure what religious OCD is and I’m def not as smart as a reverend but I DO know Jesus 🙌 don’t let anyone dictate your relationship with Him. Sometimes things happen and He allows it, good or bad, but it’s never to punish us or bc he’s mad or doesn’t love us. It’s because He needs is us to lean on Him during those hard times and learn from Him. It’s always for our good and His glory. It also helps build our faith! Talk to Him like you talk to a friend. I promise He will direct you and be there. Always here if you need to talk. Praying for you, friend 🙏 just talk to Him about it. He already knows but He loves to hear our side of things 😉 And He def loves it when we try to get to know Him and understand through His eyes. Praying for you 🙏
