I love the telephone chair too but I agree charity shops are getting expensive .I go every week to the charity shops some are cheaper than others. We have everything a pound shops which are brilliant to find a bargain.🦇
It’s crazy how charity shops are now quite expensive. It’s the same as secondhand vintage clothes shops as it seems that vintage clothing is the new fashion trend for a lot of young people so they ran out the price and make it unobtainable for everybody else.
Definitely call it a vintage shop .
The thrift shops here in America are ridiculously expensive as well🇺🇸 😢 I’m 53 so I remember going through a thrift shop 20 years ago and I could find a dress, purse, jewelry for under $25 ! Now, they as expensive as retail stores 😢
Charity shops have been expensive here for a very long time. And even more now.
But I have found one exception. They got strange opening hours instead.
So I agree, better call the most for Vintage shops instead.

I hate it when I see Primark clothes in charity shops that are priced higher than when the item was brand new! Car Boot sales are where you can still pick up really good bargains on everything.

the cost of some if these shops is mental!! I remember back in 2012 getting tops from a charity shop near Manchester for 99p!!
I used to get all my clothes from charity shops, I loved getting all my clothes so cheap. Meh, waaaaaaa, so sad

I feel like you do Star Raven, unfortunately it seems as soon as the word vintage started trending charity shop prices have skyrocketed in the clothing and homewares/furniture pricing 😭
I volunteer in a charity shop and we always price our things below "normal" price. A lot of charity shop are just after as much money as they can get and I find that really sad. I hope you find some furniture soon. ❤
These shops are getting expensive here in Canada too. Goodwill is still great as they do 50% off coloured tags each week, I've gotten some great stuff for under $5 each. The economy is really depressing though!

It annoys me that Op Shops they get the stuff given to them and they charge like a wounded bull!!
We have The Salvation Army and St.Vincent's De Paul and they are the main ones.
I go to the small ones prices are reasonable and money goes to local people who need the help!🦇🦇🦇
