Sir, sentences are mostly of the past indefinite. Then why we use was before verb&noun?please make it clear.

You are most welcomed to my channel and videos.Thanks for watching my videos.Mr. Satpal Sharmaji ,sentences are in passive voice.Therefore,these sentences are constructed in passive voice.जंगल का जंगल जल गया। जंगल अपने आप नहीं जला बल्कि इसे जलाया गया। वाक्य past के हैं। अतः Forest after forest +was +P P (V³) का use करके वाक्य बनाये गये। ध्यान रखें ऐसे वाक्यों में after के पहले वाले और after के बाद वाले Noun के पहले a/and/the अर्थात किसी article का use नहीं होगा। forest after forest का use singular होगा was के स्थान पर were का use नहीं होगा। उम्मीद है आप समझ गए होंगे
