I remember feeling really proud of Kieran when the Pinkertons show up in camp. After all of the crap that he got, especially from Arthur in camp dialogs, he pulls his revolver out of his holster in defiance of the Pinkertons and stands with the rest of the gang. I saw this as a big turning point for him, to officially be a full fledged member of the gang. That's what makes what happens later extra shocking and horrible...

Honestly I agree, I also wish he wasn't killed off and would be in the epilogue and have a little tent on beacher's hope.
I say tent because it doesn't make sence for how the place looked in RDR1 I feel like Keiran would just pack up his tent and go somewhere inbetween the epilogue of RDR2 and RDR1. Or maybe he would have been arrested with John's family in 1911 and probably died in a prison riot.
Yea. Seemed he was gonna have some great character development. But the wild west doesn’t care. I loved it. Especially after what happens to Sean. Now the player knows that anyone in the gang who isn’t John, Dutch,Bill, or Javier could be next.

Speaking of something nobody noticed. In the Intro Scene of Red Dead Online. When Horley holds up the prisoner wagon to break you out. One of the Prison Guards' name is Milliken. Milliken is the Guard that Arthur holds at gunpoint when him and Sadie break John out of prison.

I don't think it's any mistake that as soon as Micah joins the gang then they're plans are always known in advance. Even in Blackwater they thought that the Pinkertons knew about the river boat heist in advance. They don't seem to have had this issue until Micah joined. I figured he's been trying to screw them over and maybe get that big Blackwater haul for himself since day one.

funny thing is, arthur even pointed out the fact that at the bank job where Hosea got killed, that they knew the gang was coming just like micah's blackwater plan. Micah I think gave them information even before guarma. He just might have actually approached Milton after Guarma and maybe gave the plans away anonymously before so he can get the money all for himself.

Also the vet in rhodes, if you befriend him before starting missions there, after doing a few missions he will tell you Pinkerton were asking around Rhodes about the gang.

That was a glitch, at 4:09 in between Sadie and Pearson is where Micah usually stands in the cutscene. But yes he did lie about Micah not being there

The biggest red flag that jumped out at me was the Saint Denis job where the gang gets ambushed by the Pinkertons. Dutch makes everyone dress in nice clothing so they don't look like outlaws when coming into the city. Everyone except Micah is wearing a black suit, which makes Micah's white suit stick out like a sore thumb. My immediate thought is that he tipped them off and told them he would be wearing white so that they wouldn't shoot him in the chaos.
I don’t know how you managed to edit him out, but I’m on my second playthrough and Micah is literally standing in between Sadie and Pearson.
I just realized that JM's alias in the epilogue is Jim Milton- of all surnames he could have taken, he takes the one from the guy who helped destroy the gang and even kidnapped Abigail. I guess Rockstar just loves names that start with M and end with N ;)

Ik your comment is from 2 years ago, however I'd like to point out that he did this purely so that any remaining gang members would see his initials and investigate to see whether or not it was John. Also Agent Milton's first name is Andrew.
Catherine Braithwaite’s death can almost without any reasonable doubt can be ruled as a suicide, seeing that she runs back inside the flame engulfed remnants which once was Braithwaite manor.

For a second, Hosea wasn't focused on the fight. He was deep in thought about something, probaly Micha not being there. Now in Chapter 4, what if Micha figured out Hosea was on to him and told the Pinkerton's to take him hostage and kill him.

Dutch met Micah in a bar, the perfect place for a plant, was swayed into going after a huge heist that was too public. During the flight through the mountains, Micah knocks over a lantern, burning Sadie's cabin down, but making a very big signal fire. The massacre in Strawberry, the coach robbery nearby, lighting the proverbial beacons. Jack getting kidnapped, the Pinkertons getting into camp when who was on lookout, the bank heist going south. Every mission had Micah playing the Gang into leaving so much carnage, the Pinkertons had an easier time finding the Gang than Cornwall.
And somehow Milton has forgotten that Arthur mentioned about him not knowing Dutch at all. He said “Old Dutch...I ain’t seen him in months”. Milton should have discovered that Arthur lied to him.
It was no point because he obviously knew Arthur was lying

Yes I think Micah had been working with agent Milton and agent Ross because in chapter 2 there is a mission where Arthur takes little Jack fishing and agent Milton and agent Ross somehow finds them at the lake near the camp and Milton shows up at the bank robbery in Saint Denis in chapter 4.

Yeah i just played my first play through. When the O Driscoll's show up at shady bell and we have a shoot out. MICAH BELL isnt anywhere around fighting. Until after the Driscoll's are fought off. I seen him in game walking toward shady bell from behind. That was when i first suspected Micah as being a traitorous son of
I think Micah was a rat the whole time one way or another. He was real adamant about getting Dutch to do the ferry job and that ended up being a setup. Roads ended up being a setup, the meet up with colm, and any job he's involved in manages to bring an extreme degree of attention towards the gang. Like strawberry. Pinkerton's didn't know where they were and then Micah shoots up the town. Even if he wasn't working with the pinkertons at the beginning he was still constantly doing things to sabotage the Gang.
I remember Mr. Milton say, "we picked him up after you boys came BACK FROM THE CARIBBEAN." So he wouldn't be a rat before Guarma.

Chris Blaszak Mr. Milton’s goal from the start of the game was to destroy the Van Der Linde gang, maybe he undestood that if he blamed Micah the gang would split apart without the Pinkertons intervening too much.
This mission where the gang goes to the Braithwait manor, relates to me as an older sibling.
When I played through this cutscene myself Micha was very clearly there when everyone was gathered around. And yes he’s leaning on the tree in the background. Either your game glitched or you cropped him out.

I suspect that Mica has been planted by Pinkertons from the very beginning and the 'Blackwater massacre' is Mica's fault because he already worked for Pinkertons.
Do you remember the last fight between him and Arthur? Mica said something that he doing everything to survive. He - Mica is a survivor.
I think Pinkertons got Mica before everything and offered the deal: Mica gets into Duch gang, earns trust and be the rat. For doing this Mica's previous crimes will be forgotten or something along these lines.
'The Blackwater massacre' could be just the first attempt by Pinkerton's to use Mica and to get the Duch and his gang.

People seems to miss how Milton says "he's been a good boy ever since." This suggests he was only intermittently compliant with the pinkertons before then.
I don't think Micah led them to lakay cause when you do the mission where Arthur gets back from gurama and he goes to try to find the gang at shady belle and the Pinkertons show up and one of them reads a letter that Pearson wrote saying that him and the gang were at lakay, so maybe that happened
It is possible though you can kill the Pinkertons there if you want(depends on the player). But Bill did say he got there via word of mouth from others so it’s possible someone else found the letter before Arthur did.
micah is at the camp you can see him in a cut scene while milton is talking when its showing the other gang members standing next to each other, when dutch is giving his seeker speech to milton it shows a side view of milton and shows pearson to the right and micah to the left standing next to each other
1:Micah was in that cutscene you just cut him out
2:Milton tells you that Micah joins them AFTER you come back from guarma
3: you included what happened before that cutscene to stretch out the video
4: Stop clickbaiting
There is also that mission in strawberry breaking Micah out of jail. If you recall when you escape strawberry Micah says he’s gotta go sort things out before he comes back to Dutch. It could be that this is the first sign of Micah working with the pinkertons

You forgot to mention Micah's camp outside of Strawberry in Ch2. That would prove that he told the Pinkertons of the location of their camp during the assault of the manor in Ch3.

Also Micah is the only one(besides Arthur depending on the player) wearing his hat. This shows that he wasn’t shooting or fighting, because the gang notoriously(even Micah) always loses their hats in shootouts.

I loved that show of power Dutch does when he agreed to go with Agent Milton and everyone got their guns ready to defend him. The real question isn't if Micah was a traitor then it's why didn't they kill Milton and Ross when they had the chance. They didn't have back up and Milton is threatening to kill everyone anyways. Popping them there would have saved a lot of lives except Arthur's.
The thing is doing that woulda brought the full wrath of the Government upon them much earlier.

Maybe Micah worked with the local law and the local law informed the pinkertons in chapters 1-5 but in chapter 6 he started to work with pinkertons himself.

That was a glitch, Micah is in the cutscene but the gamr was glitched to where he was leaning on a tree at 6:57 and at 4:09 the gap between Pearson and Sadie is where Micah would usually be if the cutscene wasn't glitched.
I assumed Micah was with the Pinkertons from before Black Water. They picked him up, and gave him a deal to get to Dutch. Micah convinces Dutch of the boat robbery, its actually a Pinkerton trap. Micah gets put in jail in Strawberry after he goes and tips off the Pinkertons that they're hiding at Horseshoe Overlook, he tips that they're in Lemoine. He tips them off when they get back from Guarma. He's been the rat this whole time.

Aside from the Pinkerton's but what I found interesting was after the gambling heist on that boat when the gang moves to Shady Bell. After that heist I did little missions and I took a stop at the smaller bar in Saint Denis. There was a npc that talks to Arthur and tells him about how he saw a big camp at Shady Bell. I thought that was so weird to know that a random npc would find out about the camp even though Arthur tells Dutch that it's well hidden. 😅

Actually Ross talks quite a lot in the mission "Red Dead Redemption". If you don't use Dead Eye, you'll hear him saying things like "This is agent Ross with the Pinkerton Detective Agency, put your guns down"
Through my second play through I had already watched this video and kept Micah in mind, and I DID see him in the cut scene, between Sadie and Bill

Maybe micah was never a rat and agent milton just sacrificed himself and told a lie that micah was the rat so the van der lindes gang fight against each other and the gang just destroy themselves because there was pretty much no other way of destroying this gang
I like the fact that they excluded micah from that mission because it's one of my favorites. It would still be good, but without micah it's much more enjoyable.

This is what I think, Micah been working for the Pinkertons before the game even start. The ferry job was all Micah idea and he was hype for some reason. It was chapter 1or 2 when Arthur was talking to Micah about to know what really happen in Blackwater. Micah explains some info then the Pinkertons just pop out of nowhere. Micah been acting so shady in the game for awhile, if you think about it. In my theory, Micah was caught by the Pinkertons in Blackwater, but his shady ways just got him caught. And they question him about the gang. They offered him a lot of cash and freedom if he cooperated with them. He accepted the offer and cause a lot of the gang problems throughout the game, without the player knowing the clue to chapter 6.

I find it odd that Milton pretended not to know who John was, he went out of his way to make it seem like he didn’t know him.
If you notice, between Pearson and Sadie there is an empty spot, I've played this mission today and Micah was there.
If you screach on youtube "rdr2 all cutscene" and go in thus scene, you will see Micah, and Mr Boss' video was uploted later, so I guess Micah was deleted with photoshop by Mr Boss
1. Any job where Micah is not involved at any stage of planning/termination, is significantly easier. 2. Mica is a character forced to infiltrate the gang on the behalf of the gov. (like how John in RD1 had to go after the old gang. Micah is an extension of the Pinkertons.) Plus that role takes place several times in Rockstar games prior ,GTA San Andreas, GTA4,GTA5. Usually for a plee bargain or reduced/eliminated sentence. 3. Micah is a murderous degenerate & sloppy. He would have been caught prior. Plus he was caught again in strawberry where we had to bail him out. So if the gov. could offer a dead man a chance to redeem him self he could walk. I have no doubt they offered him that 1 year prior of Mica joining the gang.
The look on Dutch's face when he says "No,no not for nothing.." It's just when he does the face he acts as if he was saying,'Shut your mouth Arthur! Or they'll know we did it for nothin'!'
Hosea had his suspicions on Micah since the third camp where he approaches and interrogates him about what happened with the boat heist in Blackwater, because originally they planned on robbing the Blackwater bank but then Micah brings up the idea to rob a boat that ends up leading them into a trap set by the Pinkertons and because of that they are in the greatest run for their lives, it was obviously not that big of a coinsidence that he was the one who purposely lead the gang to that trap and that's enough to let us know that he's been on the rat business way before day 1 of this game.

He was there so here is a better explanation, while the gang went to The Braithwaite Manor Micah left to go and tell the Pinkertons, the Pinkertons later showed up when they were back, the whole gang has guns on them BUT Micah which is odd, I feel like this was a GAME THEORY type of comment but eh. That's my explanation.
