It's a stage marker. They will put an easily visible object to mark Front and Center of what will be the actual performance stage. This is normal. Coffee Cups or drink bottles are often used.

If I remember correctly they also used one in the More and More dance practice. A lot of reactors were puzzled seeing the coffee cup spin off screen when Momo inadvertently kicked it during one of the dance moves.
