I just bought one too. Thanks for the video. If you have it running for a long time, does you’re automatically go into performance mode which has a weird color tint?
I believe it has a 20v barrel jack and you can get a FARSENSE USB C to DC Adapter, Barrel PD Trigger Cable (5ft) with 3.5x1.35mm which apparently then will draw the right amount of power from a portable battery to run the higher brightness… not 100% sure.
Yes I hate the battery mode which reduces the brightness. Camping with this projector is just painful because short time use and low brightness. Another thing I don't like about this halo+ is that it uses the same remote as xgimi elfin which has white color. So I upgraded to xgimi horizon, definitely a huge gap between them. Brightness, resolution, speakers and the remote as well
just use a better external battery and it works with full lumens power. sure, I get it, it should work with its included battery, but that s my workaround
Thinking about buying one of these and saw your review. Good job! By using an external battery pack, I wonder if you can use it in full Lumens and present without a power cord into the wall. lmk if this works! Thx
yes you can, there are adaptors barrel type to USB type-C and I used a laptop external battery that can go up to 135W and it works in full lumens like it is with power cord
@@FernandoC there are plenty of batteries that output over 90W, I tried it with an Anker 24000mAh external battery that can go up to 135W and it works just fine. Of course you need a barrel to type C adapter.
Hi. I bought a Xgimi Halo+ three month ago. But I dont like its definition. Its looks like 720p. I choose 4k resolution for the video in youtube. But i cant see any difference. 720p..1080p...1440p...2160p.... all of these same... there is not difference... did you notice this resolution problem..?
Before this device, I used the Viewsonic M2, and the clarity was exceptional. Watching 4K videos was a real joy. If I hadn't experienced that level of clarity, I wouldn't have noticed the difference. However, the halo effect was a real disappointment."
Yes, it seems like Netflix is not built into Android TV for some reason but yes, you can Chromecast and it would work. Hopefully they'll upgrade to Google TV soon and then it will have compatibility with Netflix I would think.
For this problem I think Byintek u80 max better than its why : First thing you use power or you don’t the same brightness 450 anci 👍🏻 Second thing it has google tv 👍🏻
You can use Solid Explorer to copy USB stick content to internal memory. With that software you can even copy files directly from your smartphone.
thx

I did not notice a difference but I probably have to recheck it.
How big can you get it on the wall, and still have no problems in terms of sharpness. 150inches is a problem?

How portable is the Horizon in comparison with the Halo in your experience?

latency comes from the fact that the Halo+ updates your applications at startup. nothing to do with the location of the video projector I think

Probably not enough power with a USB Battery but you can plug a Jackery or Ecoflow and that would work great!

Hey there Fernando, is there a way at all to increase the brightness to max or near max in battery mode?
No, not in the version that I have. I think they should fix this with an update.
thank you for this review

Not really, I felt the resolution was very good.

@@FernandoC Some devices have these specific problems. I guess I just got unlucky.
All these issues are user issues not projector issues
Most can be fixed with a software update.
I agree this is projection tv not for presentations
@@gee645ci Ohhh thats right, silly me i have to get a different projector for that ...
Disagree! For example, the brightness drop when on battery is a projector issue, not user issue.
How far from the wall for a 90 inches screen?
Thanks for the video : ) Does Netflix work? It has a built in Chromecast right? So you should be able to stream it.

Hi, In your porjection approx how many inches the projected screen there?
Distance from the projector to the wall is roughly 48 inches and the screen size diagonal is 46 inches.
does it support casting from all android apps? just as many options as a chromecast?

Copying files to the device? I am guessing your next video is complaining about not being able to copy movies onto your TV.
