As far as problem solving skills if we have really development skills and worked on many projects we can easily tackle the problem. As a fresher i have built many frontend projects and only one time i have written a quite complex recursive algorithm for multilevel nested comments widget. So i think basic knowledge of DSA is enough for frontend development as far as you are not targeting FANG.
